Приєднався 5 чер 2019
Jay Arr is passionate about everything coffee. What began as a simple interest in the history, production, and brewing of coffee led him to a job as a barista at a national coffee chain. That’s not where Jay’s story with coffee ends, however. Roasting and brewing day in and out, he continued to gather knowledge about all things coffee.
Today, Jay aims to share his knowledge and get others excited about coffee-from cappuccinos to pour-overs to Turkish. From reviews of popular coffee drinks, to informational posts on the ecology of the coffee plant, to step-by-step guides on troubleshooting bad flavor, this page (and its blog) is here to help you foster your knowledge about-and your love for-coffee. At JayArr Coffee, a particular focus of ours is single origin coffee. We want to help you find an origin that matches your preferences in acidity, body, and flavor notes!

Although purchasing pre-ground coffee is convenient, it doesn’t produce the same fresh flavor that freshly ground coffee has. Beans that have been freshly ground have a more complete, full-bodied in contrast to pre-ground blends, which just can’t be as fresh. By grinding right before you brew, you can capture all of the aromas before they have a chance to dissipate- some of which dissipate with...

Did I see you actually use a blade grinder, whilst judging for sediment?? I've always read/heard that those produce very uneven grinds - chopping some grinds not enough, while pulverizing other grinds. I would highly suggest trying a burr grinder and repeating the test for sediment. Having said that, though - it makes me more impressed with the Koffi filter removing most or all of the sediment produced from a blade grinder. I've been thinking about getting an Aeropress soon, and will definitely be trying out the Koffi filter. .......James Hoffmann has said that given the choice between a better coffee machine or better [burr] grinder - to always go for the better burr grinder instead - as he said a proper/better burr grinder makes more of a difference to the end cup.
Steve ❤
milk is weakly acidic. But I think that if the coffee is ph 4 & milk 6.5, the milk would make the total acicity move up from 4.
Doesn’t the coffee kill the fizz?
Hevdid not say it CAUSESA reflux. He said if you already have refuc.
Not everyone has a Wegman's nearby.
How about decaf, do they have that as usda organic?
Reminder for the 6:45 mark - using water that's too 'hot' will crack and break the water bowl as I suspect happened with the one I've just inherited 😅
Been drinking organic coffee for a long time and now regular non organic coffee has a pure chemical after taste . I dont really like the taste of coffee to begin with but atleast organic coffee taste much cleaner and i can actually drink it.
Are these pods just black coffee please
Peet’s any day! Their French Roast is great to meet in a French Press.
Starbuck's Pike Place is a bitter cup of coffee. I don't understand how Starbucks claims it is their flagship coffee. I personalty hate Pikes.
I just bought the Great Value brand at Walmart a few days ago. I just use 1 heaping teaspoon in the bottom of my cup and almost boiling water on the stove. Be sure you never get the water to an actual boil, it’ll scorch the coffee making it bitter and nasty. Great Value Instant Coffee will always be in my pantry.
Organic coffee does damage the nervous system with toxic chemicals.
Thank You! for working hard process coffee behind the scenes! ❤
why did you preinfuse such a small portion of the grounds? you under extracted because you didn’t give it the full amount of time. measure the time you spent infusing with the other methods. it’s not rocket science. all the devices just immerse and filter. the only difference is the method of filtering as you control the immersion time, grind, coffee, etc.
Since the sale of peets coffee tea co was purchased by a private equity company, peets coffee and tea is not the as the original owner. The half and half creamer is not pure. If you asked one of the employee's at the counter, just asked them to see the half and half creamer ingredients to see how natural it is. Please use regular Milk for coffee.
SMOOTHNESS COFFEE
What a cleaver idea however i see way too many things going wrong like starting a fire burning yourself glass breaking i’ll stick to my drip coffee maker!
cool review , but I think the pressure that they say 18 bar is not at extraction time ,its a commerical thing, because technically 18 bar is nearly impossible for fingers also for hand its impossible (every one can test it with a simple small 10ml syrnge, just try to push the syrnge to 0,5ml(not 5 ml ) ,with wacaco , as you try you can feel easily "the water drops exact the same volume as in the pump piston when user press to pump, normally for 18 bar pressure the user have to add 18 times the volume air for 1 volume at 18 bar, and it means that you must pump average 90 times for smallshot with very hard effort.I think its a commerical thing, device can resist maximum 18 bar air in the water tank or in the piston. but only for maximum resistance , not for extract the coffee in 18 bar or 9 bar, this device look cool but really confuses me for making espresso in true pressure.ı try with measuring the outer pressure from basket , after around 7-8 bars you can not add any air to the system with fingers you must use full hand and chest for pressing pump. any one tried to measure the pressure ?

I buy Ethiopian longberry green uroasted beans and roast them myself they taste so much better themselves then coffee sitting on the shelf for weeks at time.

"What is Geish Coffee?" ITS GESHA, from Ethiopia... Over-Educated-Morons. GESHA came from GESHA region in ETHEOPIA, then exported to C.America and S.America
64 ounces is not 1 gallon, it's a half gallon.
Its all about the ingredients not the taste, taste is subjective,
Aldi coffee is very good. I like the fair trade breakfast blend.
Would there be a difference in water for difference brewing methods? I would think espresso water and filter water would not be interchangeable. What are your thoughts? Thank you so much for such a great video. 😊
My friend made this for me and it was really good!
Yeah. I have the Ethiopian Embassy on line 1. They want a word...
If something lasts about 1 years/500 filters used as cold brew, 10 minutes of BOILING it will drastically reduce that. Website says “economical” except it isn’t. It is overpriced, more than double the price of 500 filters and boiling it will, again, drastically reduce how long it lasts if simply cold brewing is expected to only get a year before it is breaking down. How much does it shed into your coffee before it is spent? Nah, I guess I will keep using stainless steel rumble jar that is easy to clean & will last as long as its silicone lid does? I do not know what else to do. So I will do that. Nothing else is remotely as easy or economical.
Lasts 1 year… 500 filters… I can get 500 filters for less than 7 dollars.
How do you CLEAN it? I like CLEAN stuff, how do you CLEAN it? I use a rumble jar but I have to filter it after. I would like to skip that step.

Who is the voice actor? Ai?
Baking soda is ok temporarily but not long term. I really agree with the egg shells over the baking soda. Seems to be a much safer method.
I was having my morning coldbrew which was a little too acidic (day old) and I happened to have a cold diet cream soda among my sodas for the work day. I thought, shit, why not? My coworkers looked on in a range of mild discomfort to horror as I then chugged and burped my way through a damn mediocre coffee. Not half bad, friends. Not half bad.
Our stomach acid should be VERY acidic. Silly to think that we should try to have higher ph coffee.
who cares about the packaging? I just wanted to see which company has the best brew. you didn't even try the aeropress company version so the comparisons are not complete.
Ironically that same acid reducer thing that you recommended is $36 on Amazon and one person on the Amazon review set to take a half a size of the tums and put it in your coffee but maybe try the peppermint version because I don't want my coffee to taste fruity. I'm considering doing that method when I get the chance.
Can you make a list?
Starbucks makes the best instant by FAR. Nescafe used to be good, but changed. Folgers is weak flavored no matter how much you use.
