My two penneth; Fit is much improved for my ear shape over the A series, i'm a keen runner and these actually stay in my ears much more securely when running. They are also super comfortable for extended listening again much more than the A series. Touch controls have improved, I found with the A series the music would stop with accidental brushes e.g. wearing buds while getting changed, a niche complaint but one that was very annoying. Sound quality is vastly better imo especially in sound separation. Great reviews dude I'm also based in Leeds and I'm a big Pixel fan.
Thank you. I was waiting for comments in the review regarding secure fit in running context; and also in case use of wearing it to sleep (head in side of pillow, sleeping in long flights). Insight on those would be appreciated too.
@@funsky77 these may not be the best earbuds for sleeping. They can stick out from your ear a decent bit and sleeping on your side could be uncomfortable. You'd definitely at least would want to disable touch controls before laying down.

Got these today and I am loving the transparency mode. My main problem with my earlier TWS earphones used to be the feeling of being under water even with transparency mode on. This meant I would be shouting to the highest ends of my voice because I wouldn't be able to hear myself and regulate my volume. Secondly, the previous earbuds amplified background noise without ANC and with ANC I would feel under water. The Pixel Buds Pro solve both these problems for me. Oh, and I got the Fog color -- subtle yet visible :)
I'm still wondering why fast pair can be a selling point in Android's tws market. It's just a first time thing and you will just forget after the pairing. Plus going into the Bluetooth to manually pairing isn't hard.
ease if use my friend... this is a product you can get potentially for one of your most technologically illiterate family members or friends and it just pops up on their screen as hey set me up.
Very glad to hear the buzzing is gone - tried a total of 3 pairs of A-series and one bud buzzed with all three. Can't wait for my Pros to come in the mail!
One of my only issues is that the buds themselves have more of a matt finish this year and they are much more difficult to swipe on for the gestures. Pixel buds 2 had a slick glossy feel and were much easier to use.
Do they function independently of one another? I've read at least 5 reviews and watched numerous videos and everyone skips over this must have function.
Yes. You can wear one at a time. Either one. I've read that they convert to mono when you do this. It is my experience that you lose some audio quality. I mainly notice this in terms of depth. It's fine for podcasts etc.
@@brownboii305 I have the A Series, which do tend to get itchy after a while. Btw, not-so-shameless plug, that the next item I am reviewing. So you probably should subscribe. 😁

Was watching Dune with it last night and loved it although I do suffer from the problem where even wired earphones to fall out of my right ear. I was wondering what it would be like with spatial audio and 5-band EQ that is coming

@@kagsly6033 woe, good looking, thanks. But in true "Murphy's Law" fashion, I just got laid off. 😞 I'm almost positive there wouldn't be a sale if I were still working. 😂😂
The main reason for me loving the pixel buds from 2020 was the fin. They are the only ear buds that never fell out of my ear, here's to hoping the pros stay somewhat as good!
Have you tried pairing them with Chromecast with Google TV? Is there any latency? 2020 Pixel Buds have massive latency and makes UA-cam loading time much longer, if not blocking it sometimes.
Getting the buds with the Comply foam tips definitely improved the grip and seal. I actually enjoy the transparency mode, despite how artificial it sounds at first. Biggest issue that I've experienced is ironically why I bought them, to make calls, but the volume could be louder. Not sure what's up with that. I also find it weird that the bud volume isn't directly controlled by the phone. Pixel 6 pro here and when I max my volume from the phone, I still have to gesture the buds to further increase volume to max (audible alert that it's maxed out). Overall, I regret spending $200 on these without better software support. They don't sound amazing, they do fit a lot better than I expected, but it pisses me off that trying to get them to fit in my ear sets off all sorts of gesture controls (so stupid). Using it for my navigation when driving around is nice, but routing my GPS to my earbud and my music to Android auto is a miss. There isn't enough control there for it. If you're wondering why I'd want that, well,I hate my music stopping 6 times in a row as I approach a "TURN IN 100 FT, TURN IN 60FT, TURN NOW, *STUPID BEEPING NOISE*, KEEP GOING" SHUT UP! (Yes I disabled all except essential and I end up relying on the map, which I can't see when the phones quick charging) Google sold me a $1200 512gb half baked P6 Pro and I feel like these buds followed the same mistakes. Google doesn't learn lessons. They just accept mistakes, so it seems.
My only question with these or any other wireless earbuds. Do the beam forming microphones work on these or any buds. When used for calls most buds tend to amplify the surrounding sound rather than my voice rendering them useless in anything but a quiet room
Apparently I'm in the minority here, but I'm glad to see the fin gone. I've never had a pair of earbuds with fins that I liked, they always hurt my ears, so I'm hoping these will have a solid fit that doesn't hurt so much.
Honestly that's probably the very reason why they got rid of it. Ultimately I think most people who are worried about the lack of a fin will find that the fit without it is just fine, and those that found the fin irritating in the first place will be happy that it's gone.
It's a shame that they went with the Matt white case again. While it looks stylish new. Had my pixel buds A for one day in my new jeans and it's now blue.
Cannot fast pair with Chromecast with Google TV...I wish it was supported along with audio switching. It tries to switch between devices but it doesn't work. It doesn't see the buds at all unless I pair them by holding the button down on the back of the case and pair them as a normal BT device. Great product but wish they worked seamlessly with the Chromecast as I often use my phone and the TV in tandem.
I can’t believe Google can’t seem to figure it out. I am currently using the Apple AirPods 3rd gen after using Pixel Buds 2020. I was so excited that they will bring a “pro” model so that I can use Google’s pixel buds again. But again Google and their disappointments. Everything was fine until the latency part. I mean yeah it is not deal breaker for some but if apple who don’t really built their products for “gamers” can deliver, so can Google right?
how do they compare to the older ones with the fin, I use the galaxy buds 2 and like them since they give me a good fit because of the fins.. keen to know if these would fall out or not?
I need to get a great set of buds I've got a set of 20 pounders they do the job but I would like a really good pair, don't know whether to get the pixel buds or galaxy buds.
Does anyone know if these are comfortable to sleep as a side sleeper? I like listening to music/videos while i sleep, so this would be a dealbreaker for me
it's funny you didn't mention the fact that it is not so easy to take the buds out of the case. how do you take it out of the box anyway? #apple's #AirPods are so easy to take out of the case and so much better. I regret buying it.
At least the call Quality and the audio quality sounds much better than the airpods pro and at the end of the day that's the only thing that matters! Also all transparency modes sounds artificial!
I just got these today and they are awful 😞. I was listening to an audiobook with the fan on in my room, and as long as I had both in the sound was fine, but with just 1 in there was a loud whooshing sound as if it was trying to drown out the sound of the fan. I turned off the ANC but the sound was still there just slightly quieter.
I'd like to see in a long term review if the case still gets the cracks on the sides. I've started to see them on my 2020 Pixel Buds a few days after I bought them. I hope they fixed this with the pro
When I had my Google pixel 5, I had my original 2020 pixel buds. Even though they were the first generation and what not, the adaptive sound when it supposed to auto lower and raise the volume especially outside, never worked correctly! It was supposed to automatically raise and lower the volume, but it never worked correctly at all.. A lot of those software based features that Google created sounds good in theory, but not in reality. They just didn’t work correctly. I’ve seen got AirPod pros, and my 13 pro max what types of love. However, I wish the pics of Bud pros much much luck and success of course! I just looked kind of cumbersome and big and the years. But maybe that’s just me!
