Great vid!! Nissan quoted me $1100 to fix my door handle and it is exactly the same issue as this. Never going back. For those of you watching this and are working on the front passenger door you will get stuck pulling the lock out. There is a pink piece of plastic holding it in. Seems to be glued and I had to pry it off with a screwdriver from the grub screw hole. Central locking still works so is either related to manual key lock or dead locking which I've never used. Also you will need to remove the window guide to get the internal handle out. Remove screw at bottom and it just slides down. Good luck all.

Thanks man, this saved my day. And I ended up solving this attaching the cable and putting a screw behind the cable! Cheers!

i was thinking using nylon
I used ABS. It's not under a lot of stress. Any material would do
