    I've watched Lee on SEEKONE for sometime now, and I've recently gotten into suburban/urban hunting. We had the best deer season ever hunting in the neighborhood! I've also been in sales now for five decades, and I"m comfortable with speaking, pitching and handling objections. That said, you simply be polite and make an honest pitch without fearing rejection. Each NO will bring you closer to YES!

    I think liability would be the most common problem. As a landowner I would hate to jeopardize my property for a stranger. How do you overcome this if asked? Maybe a signed waiver of liability or an insurance policy perhaps?

      Asking someone to sign a permission slip or liability form would be a great idea !

    There is a city near me that just started an urban hunting program, I'll have to keep some of this in mind in a couple of years. Too new to hunting in general, 1st year, to attempt urban right now. Need more time and practice first.

    I really enjoyed this. I’m a Jehovah’s Witness so I can relate to a lot of the door knocking in that way lol, but I’ve also been debating knocking on doors near me for hunting/fishing permission so thanks for this episode! Maybe sometime I’ll try it!

    That euro mount on the table is identical to a buck I shot last year. I checked to see if my mount was still on the wall lol

    I prefer live guests. The vid ones have…. Less… idk what it is.
    All good info, glad you do vid chat stuff as opposed to no vid… but in person is where it’s at.

    Can talk about 8.6 blackout in a future podcast?
    I heard you talk about 6.8 and it’s benefits over 6.5cm but 8.6blk seems like it’s on an entirely different level.

    6.8 Fury, cartridge talk? New military cartridge.... The military is finally ditching the 5.56x45 varmint round for a better battle caliber. They are supposed to be fully charged by 2026.

    • @jeremiah7855
      @jeremiah7855 Рік тому

      5.56 is far from a varmint round yes it can be used for that but it was designed as a military round first Optimized for the 55gr projectiles not a varmint round have you seen what just a humble 55gr soft point will do far from varmint rounds which a 22lr 22mag or 204 ruger would fit better for that role

    • @logicalsarcasm8327
      @logicalsarcasm8327 Рік тому

      @@jeremiah7855 I use 22 Long Rifle and 22 Hornet for varmints. Then the next logical step up for me is 243 Winchester. I've had 223 Remington (mini 14) and 22-250 Remington (Ruger m77) and I'm just not a .224 caliber fan. Military can't get over about accuracy after 600ish yards because of short barrels and light bullets.
      I'm very interested in the new 6.8 Fury (unusual I don't normally like new fad cartridges). It's a short action (6.8x51) and it has very high pressure, the base of the case is steel to help contain the pressure (if I'm remembering correctly about 80,000 PSI). That makes it stronger than a 270 weatherby!!
      I bought a 17 remfire when they first came out and my neighbor bought a 204 Ruger and I'm simply not impressed with either.

    "what are you gonna tell my family when you kill me"? ...
    Absolutely nothing, so scram.
