Watching this as I get the kids ready for school. My 10yr old daughter heard your line "so aromatic, if you could smell what I'm smelling." She then farted and quoted you.
GG Anglers is great to see the younger generation involved in such an amazing sport - I watched your videos as well - great job keeping everyone engaged! Tight Lines
Another fantastic video! I love the cooking portions where you sit down with your wife with nice glass of wine and just enjoy all the fruits of your labors. You deserve it!
Beautiful video, but I just have one request: Can you please have one of your sons come in at the end of the video wearing a dress shirt and tie when you're doing your food review and have him refill you and your wife's wine glasses.😂
I will be in Freeport tomorrow on my 25' tidewater floating around the jetties. As usual thank you for showing the fishing down there it really helps guys like me that fish there often.
BTW - I remember we were talking about FG knot that day on the Jetty. I stopped tying FG knot since they take too long. AND I usually use 2-3ft leader so the knot doesn’t pass the guide anyway. So you don’t really need a slim knot. I use good old surgeon loop (3-4 loop) to connect the leader and braid, which is kinda ugly but uber fast to tie . So far have not lost any fish!
Nice! Man, that piece of fish with the roasted peppers on top has me craving! I've been trying for the spanish for a couple weeks and my spoons just keep getting pounded by big reds in Port A. I shall, however, persevere. Can't really complain about the reds, anyhow!
Gotta take the Salty 120pdl's out this weekend if the water is smooth. My Son & I caught a 6 man limit of Reds in XMas Bay last weekend. We left at 2 with them still biting! Know one was having much luck but we started catching finger mullet & started smoking them Reds. Made friends at the launch when they seen what we had. We just kept catching & culling. 24" to 35" Reds on every cast. It was amazing!
Span Mac is definitely better grilled or pan seared. Frying it just does not play well with the texture and I think that's what people just don't like about it.
Last time I was out there a couple weeks ago there was a guy out there poaching the sheep head with a casting net . Catching them illegally and keeping undersized fish.
Hi Andrei, please read about IkeJime. It’s the most humane way to dispatch my catch. I understand we all have different ways of caring for our catch. I also understand your cause for concern but please read up on the process that I perform. It may change your mind on how you feel about what I’m doing. I appreciate your support and thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.

Thanks 🙏 for the support.
Been waiting for jetty video. Could you give a tutorial how to fish a jack without it breaking off by the rock?
Gotta use heavy leader line and strong gear to muscle them in when they get to the rocks.
Beautiful video, but I just have one request:

Bro you’re crazy
Outstanding fishing vlog…with a great culinary surprise…next time I cook fish…I will use this recipe!
Thanks Michael

Nice trip to the jetty and that dish was to die for!! I think your recipes are spot on. Please keep up the great content!
Thank you, keep watching and we’ll keep catching and cooking.
Awesome! I loved your cooking on this, thanks for sharing Mark!!
Appreciate ya!
Wow it’s been a while since I had Spanish mackerel- love the roasted red bell peppers with wine and herbs - awesome job as always 🙌
Thanks Jose!
Nice seeing you at the Jetty. Awesome Spanish run for the past few weeks!
Likewise, it’s amazing when we get to catch them.

Great video Mark! The dish you made looks delicious! I'm hoping to make a run to Surfside tomorrow! Keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks, hope you get on em!
Awesome video I love when you do catch and cooks
Thanks Brodey 👍
Man!!! Great video!!
Appreciate it!
I've caught a lot of fish on spoons with a continuous retrieve without pausing
Nice 👍
Awesome video! Fish On 🤙
Thanks 🤙

😂 yeah that’s an awesome by catch to end up with 👍
Looked so good!!!
Thanks David!
That wire thing you use to dispatch the fish.. that thing lasted for alot of videos, RIP lol 🙏 😆
Yeah I have my eye on another brand that’s sold on Amazon.
@@MDLRFishing I've been wanting to try that technique on my keepers. Let us know which brand you get
The IkeJime Federation Brain Spike is good but I don't recommend the Circuit Breaker from them. Both mine and my son's wires broke way too easy.
Gotta take the Salty 120pdl's out this weekend if the water is smooth.

Sounds like an exceptional day! Great times with family.
I see that brother it great job God bless u and the fam 🙏
Thanks Mike!
16:25 what are shallots?
It’s a type of onion with exceptional flavor.
at 12:10 why did you cut it and poke it with that metal stick? was it to humanely kill it?
ShinkeiJime is the method of dispatching that I use.
When are you and fish and trips gonna have a rematch???
😂😂😂
Nice video. Why did you cut the tail on the Spanish? Why the wire?
Just a little extra care for the meat.
Have you ever waded the surf and caught trout?
I haven’t.
So...did you get any foo? LOL!!
😂😂😂
why put the that in the back of the fish someone explain to me
ShinkeiJime
Well done...
Thanks John!
I've caught thousands of Spanish, but everyone has always told me they taste terrible "oily, bloody and so on", I guess I should try them
I thought the same because of others. But sometimes you have to find out things for yourself 👍
Enjoyed
Thanks Patty!
What rod is that? Looks sweet!
Found it
Do they not make them anymore?
It’s in a prototype stage right now. I was testing it out in this video.
@@MDLRFishing oh sick. I'll keep any eye out for the finished product. I'm looking for a new rod for my Stella's
Amazing content. Tight lines. Lol
🤙
Do you ever miss the old skiff?
Not at all. It wasn’t suited for our bay system.
Gg 🔥🔥
Spanish Macs.have lots of very sharp teeth & I always use a steel leader, or get broke/bit off.
Sometimes they even bite through the steel leader!
That’s a downside to catching them.
There is nothing that compares to a good seasoned cast iron skillet. If you don't know you don't know
I agree 🙌
Span Mac is definitely better grilled or pan seared. Frying it just does not play well with the texture and I think that's what people just don't like about it.
They sure are tasty 🙌
Is it cold....no its fine to me
😂😂😂 🙌
For a long time I thought you and GG anglers were related, similar content I guess…
😂😂😂👍
Bon'a petite!!!

Gotta call the number to report poaching.
@@MDLRFishing Someone had already.
MArk, why do you torture fish, just put it in the bag
