It can’t. The only function of this is to turn the lights on and off with timers and the light sensor. And of course to lower the voltage of your home’s power for the low voltage lights.
I have never run mine that way but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. I unplug it for the winter and it retains all of the settings when I plug it back in

Worse ever transformer to set on/of time!
I could see if you had to change it all the time that it would be a pain. But, for me, I’ve only ever set it once and have never had to touch it again
What do you have hooked up to it?
I have 5 deck lights and 12 path lights run off of this and I can add a few more before maxing it out
