    Great video with lots of useful tips. My best tip for new dropshippers is to get good winner products as soon as possible. That's like the backbone of this business, and for example my strategy is to use some product searching tools (there is many, but for me the best one by far is to use a little bit of winnerzila. Having five fresh products per week is really powerful).

    1:45 I believe the majority get stuck at this part and give up, it's gonna be hard, repetitive, tedious and boring, hell I think product research is the most tedious task to do, thank you for being transparent and being 100% real with covering the sacrifices someone would have to make.

    • @theecomzone
      @theecomzone  7 місяців тому +3

      Yeah I don't think I emphasise this point enough. Like I used to grind 15 hrs a day and slept 6 hours, 3 hours for food and gym. I was a workaholic, only after a year or 2 was I able to cut my hours down. Product research is super difficult if you don't have a niche that people will go to your store for. Tedious tasks like replying to emails everyday, fulfilling orders can sometimes be very daunting especially now that I've done it for 4 years. I do have a small team that I delegate this task to from time to time so it's not too bad.

      I POD dropship apparel on AliExpress myself, just make sure to sample their clothes, it may take a couple of weeks to get this part done, but once you find a good supplier with high quality clothes then you're good to continue.

    Hey , great video! I’ve been following you since I saw you post on Reddit. I have a question, I have watched some of your other videos , with DSERS how do you set up pricing? Like I’m not sure how to put prices in. Like I’m curious if I just leave it how it is or change the price myself. The pricing rule confuses me.

    • @theecomzone
      @theecomzone  7 місяців тому +1

      Thank you Soph! And I'm glad you took the time to check out my channel.
      I have a pricing rule but it doesn't work well because of shipping costs varying. I just apply a blanket mark up to costs of goods plus shipping. You can adjust it when you edit the products on DSers with the drop-down on the variants tab. Mass change price and mass change comparison price. I usually x2.5 for price and random number for comparison price like 3.5, 4, 3.7, etc. Sometimes I don't even have a comparison price.

    • @BaddieSoph
      @BaddieSoph 7 місяців тому

      @@theecomzone thank you for responding , I actually switched over to DSERS yesterday after watching your videos. Originally I was using CJ and I had been searching all through Reddit the cons of CJ. I placed a sample order from them but still hasn’t come but then again it was close to Chinese New Year when I purchased. I launched my store recently and placed a order myself to make sure it was working & so far I’m waiting to see if I recieve either products. But I’ve decided to go into a different niche & put that one on hold. So I’m revamping my website with a new niche and have paused my ads for now. Your videos are very helpful!

      Glad I'm inspiring you guys, keep pushing and learning. Take your time finding suppliers and products, it's one of the most important parts of dropshipping. I'll be honest, your videos aren't enjoyable or informative. They feel cheap and scammy. You respond to people on Reddit with links to your videos, which provide a sense of credibility and authority on Reddit because people don't often do that. But once you watch one of these videos, you quickly question the intention behind them. I want to see more from YOU, not a bunch of stock footage with a dull script or a PowerPoint of the Oodie website with some generic dot points. Why don't you show your face? What is your name? Who can we hold accountable for this channel? I get the sense you're not who you claim to be and are instead funneling naive dropshippers to your videos to make money from views and affiliate links. If I'm wrong, rectify it. Make better videos, show who you are so we can see you're willing to stand by what you claim.

    • @theecomzone
      @theecomzone  7 місяців тому +7

      Understandable, and everyone should be wary. However, just because someone shows their face on their UA-cam channel doesn't mean you should trust them more. I do think about showing my face but I rather protect my identity for now especially with AI blowing up. My name is Lon and that's what everyone calls me. As for accountability, do you really think these big UA-camrs selling outdated garbage courses are held accountable when you pay them a few thousands and want a refund? Many of them lie about their numbers and lie about who they have coached in the past. That's the thing about UA-cam, only those guys blow up because they know how to bait in people who are struggling financially and emotionally.
      Do you know about Christopher Waller/KING COMM who committed suicide in 2020? BallerBusters on IG started digging deeper into his life and found out that he was scamming his customers by not sending goods out and exploiting their trust. I can only imagine all the chargebacks he was getting. His family supposedly didn't have the funds to bury him or hold a funeral but according to his videos, he was making millions and owned supercars. So yeah there's that.
      The thing is about affiliate links, especially the Shopify partnership I have. I don't make anything unless my subscribers are actually making money on Shopify. It's a mutual relationship because it's in my best interest to help my subscribers so they become profitable. And 90% of people that I help already have their own Shopify setup so what do I gain by helping them? Nothing, but do I care, no, because I like helping people. I also don't have any paid courses, paid groups, or groups, and I don't offer mentoring although many have requested it.
      As for making better videos, that's my plan lol you think I built a $4M company by just sitting on my ass all day and not striving to be better?
      I don't really care if my videos are low production or made on PowerPoint. As long as I can get my point across and point beginners in the right direction then my job is complete. And make money from views? You need to learn about how ad revenue works on UA-cam, you don't just make money instantly. For example, you need 4000 hours of view time in the past year to qualify for ad earnings. I'm nowhere near that.
      I make enough money from my company that I don't really care about making money from UA-cam. As I said in the video I solely rely on my company to generate income for the past 4 years.
      My question for you is what stage are you at with your dropshipping journey and what information are you trying to get from watching UA-cam videos/my channel? I'm happy to point you in the right direction.

    • @theecomzone
      @theecomzone  7 місяців тому +7

      And if you really think my videos aren't informative, then you clearly haven't watched all my videos. Show me one UA-camr that talks about taxes, finances, learning about cash flow, balance sheet, how starting with $0 is almost impossible, how you can prevent fraud by setting up your own 2FA (I invented this trick and it's pinned on Shopify subreddit, that's how valuable my information is), I talk about branding that many UA-camrs ignore. All these huge UA-camrs push Zendrop and CJdropshipping cause they're affiliated with them, only to find out you can get the same products on Aliexpress 50% less with the same shipping times.
