    When I wanted to contribute to our family income but needed flexibility, I found the perfect setup: Crafted Threads for design bundles, Amazon for a Cricut printer, and Etsy to sell my creations. I started by printing fun t-shirts during quiet moments at home, and now I also sell them at local craft fairs. It’s incredibly rewarding to see this side hustle making a real difference in our budget!

    After becoming a parent, I wanted something creative and flexible to do during nap time. I started with a Crafted Threads design bundle, ordered a Cricut from Amazon, and made parent-themed shirts just for fun. Turns out, other parents LOVE custom t-shirts! Selling them at community meet-ups has been an amazing way to connect with others and make some extra money on the side. Highly recommend this setup!

    I've just set this up for my photography. I would set up an account with Etsy, don't set up the shop, set up an account with Gelato then up load your images via them but automatically linked to the Etsy shop- it is a lot easier than trying to set up the Etsy shop separately. What he didn't mention was the listing fees which Etsy charge and the fees which will be necessary to keep paying to keep the listing active. I couldn't work out how to have the listing fees charged from any sales so you pay up front.

    Teachers LOVE a good t-shirt, and I realized I could turn that into a side gig. I used Crafted Threads for hilarious teacher-themed designs, grabbed a Cricut printer off Amazon, and started selling them to colleagues. It began as a joke, but now I’m selling to teachers across the district and even funding classroom supplies with the profits. If you're in education, this is a fantastic side hustle!

    I completely agree, The first $100k was the toughest, and I didn't really start seriously investing until I was 30 back in 1998. Today, I'm 55 and have a decent $3.2M
    nest egg, thanks to the careful supervision of my CFP.
    After learning all of this, my only regret is not starting earlier when I was 25. It may not seem like much but those extra 5 years are the most important.

    What he's not telling you is the hassle of calculating and collecting sales tax in the various US states (and around the world) and the pricey software you need to automate it for you at checkout, add shipping, process credit card payments and then pay for an accountant to figure out to which countries you pay sales tax to (inc UK VAT).

    He did not spend anything except the artist to begin with, but seeing as though he hasnt replied to marketing costs I am certain he spent money on marketing costs. The whole video is made for you to use his affiliate link for Gelato so that he makes money from you. Theres nothing bad about that, but most people do let you know that they make percentage from your purchases if they use an affiliate link. It takes more marketing to get results than it does to set up a store. I can set up a store amongst a million stores and no one would know that I exist unless I market.

    POD does however require payment long before you get your payment for a product, which is off-putting when you are at 0. And some require creator to purchase all samples of products offered. So it has a necessity for start up capital. And I have to allow for the possibility that Tilbury has people to buy any 0 startup items he does, to make it all a success.

    • @nicochann222
      @nicochann222 3 місяці тому

      THiS! Because the merchant has to pay for the item once you get a sale it makes it hard for someone that is starting from $0. It’s different if the company takes the money from the customer and then you get the difference in profit after that. That would help people that’s starting out with $0 much better.

      It is always good to have a financial plan. I work with a professional planner and fixed-income strategist in NY.
      The fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income i was able to make over $750k with just an investment of 120k you could try less

    I would definitely enjoy a part 2 maybe after a month. Then after 6 months. Then after a year. Could potentially be pretty good videos.

      Sorry for bumping…..but Are you interested on how to really achieve financial freedom I’m just saying because I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence she helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx $850k so you could try way more less

      what do your sales look like?

    • @liberalelite1722
      @liberalelite1722 Рік тому

      @@mitchellh3205 Almost nothing. Or perhaps, actually nothing.
      The market is massively saturated. If you don't believe me type any of the phrases in his posters into google alongside wall art. You'll see hundreds of copycat products. How do you think someone finds your generic product amongst all those other generic products? They don't without massive ad spend.
      A simple rule of thumb with these things is, without massive ad spend, you need to find a niche that is so small it's not worth people ripping you off with copycat products. Or that is so temporal that by the time they do it's too late.
      In both these cases you won't make much money. And most people won't make any at all. In fact they'll lose a little money - but A LOT of time.

    Mr. Mark, please make a part 2 to this. I am 15 but love entrepreneurship and this POD business has caught my attention. I would also like to say that your presentation style is amazing. I have heard that the compound annual growth rate is 26.2% or a projected growth rate of 39.035 billion from 2022 to 2031 so if that is true then hopefully part 2 will come out soon.
