As a retired journeyman pipefitter/welder, I just wanted to let you know you have gained a new subscriber. Your content and instruction is spot on. I just wish that when I was an apprentice and rookie welder there would have been UA-cam videos available with the instruction and content that you provide. Good on you brother for sharing your knowledge and talent. Stay safe and well.

What I like about this guys channel is that his work is straight raw. It’s real work in the field not no puppy shit in a school shop talking work but not actually doing it in the field there’s a mejor difference.

What I love about welding is there is more than one way to do it all! The outcome should always be the same, but the process can be done a number of ways. Welds look awesome🤙🏻

You should have a put a spacing tool on the tight side then you start welding on the opposite side until the spacer falls out, that is when you stop and switch to the spacer side and weld there. Putting just 2 tacks in is asking for problems.

    • @TheWeldLab

I only use 2 tacks because I find it’s much faster if you watch more of my videos I’m all about quality and production I always try to find the fastest way to put out more work
And I go downhill because that the procedure my job requires it’s also much faster then uphill
