Welcome to the channel of Todd Family Farm
We are a family farm in central Iowa. There's Papa and Granny, Adam and Jill and 7 children.
This is a channel started and ran by the kids with their parents help, we hope you subscribe.
It also helps a lot to like the videos and to watch as much of the video as possible.

First off, besides being another great video Miss Abby (along with Miss Emma's drone footage) your selection of background music is most excellent. Masterful work of capturing the variety of tasks and synchronous efforts to get them all done while nature permits. AAAANNNNDDDD... I must add, it almost seemed like some "greater hand" was upon the skies so you could get the hay baled? Could it be we are seeing what it looks like to be farming and being blessed from above at the same time? Speaking of which, have you thought about sitting down with dear old dad and getting him to enlighten us a little bit about ag economics and how it impacts daily decisions on a farm?
It doesn't matter what you post about Abby. We are happy to see you all and know you're doing well. It would be nice to do an update meet and greet with your family as they are growing so fast. I can't believe how tall the young ones are getting. Maybe a fishing vlog, or a tasty meal to share. Just throwing idea's to see what you think. Love the drone footage also. Thank you for sharing. Yeah at times hay making can be easy going. But Mother nature has a way of changing that. Lol. But when I was on the Farm I looked forward to spring planting right up to corn Harvest..
During this flooding, our neighbor had a few big round bales get swept away. Quite the sight to see them bobbing down the creek! Yes, we look forward to each season on the farm!

Thanks for the great video and crop update Abby. Glad you all got your hay baled. Two new weed eaters will shorten that chore. Here in South Central Kentucky the Month of May was probably one of the wettest on record. Farmers here still have quite a bit of hay still to cut. I have noticed also quite a bit of wheat to combine and then plant in beans. I have seen one field of corn that drowned out and what was left the farmer has sprayed it down and evidently when it dries up enough he will plant it in beans. Farmers that were lucky enough to get their corn out early have really beautiful crop. You guys take care and stay safe 👍

Cool video! Back when I lived on a farm in Canada, I always had fun watching the local farmer make hay, it’s really cool! Also nice drone footage Emma. I like how it interchanges between wide shots to tighter shots closer to the action. All you have to do now is learn how to color grade XD

When they first come in they weigh about 40 pounds. They are close to 70 pounds now.
I suspect those who criticise you for doing what you deemed necessary labor on Sunday would be very angry if a doctor refused to see them in the E.R. on Sunday for their illness.
Looks like you are into the first busy part of the season, always something to do. Glad the flooding didn't damage the crops. Maybe I'm seeing things, but I hope I didn't see you operating that weedeater without safety glasses 😮. You can lose an eye in a split second, I've had gravel and debri hit my safety glasses so hard that it would have removed the eyeball. Enjoy watching your videos, please stay safe.
We wear sunglasses when we use the weedeater.

Hello Martin! Yes, we will get more pigs after this group gets sold. The pond was built in the fall of 2016.
Making hay with dead earnest. The world of hay baling has gotten a lot easier thanks to technology. There was a day a whole week was haying what can easily be done in one day. Farming has never been the same.

Thanks for the video,you do a great job.i know weed eaters can be a pain.i have found if you use non ethonol gas and follow the instructions to start them they should work fine for a long time,I use it in my lawn tractor,hedge clippers and etc.Reg.gas does a number on the carberators

I try to run all my small motors out of gas or treat them with stabil in the fall.
we try to do seafoam and only use premium gas on the small motors, but we bought used and chinese knockoffs before we could afford much better, so our upgrade to echo is quite an upgrade

i appreciate your convictions. we don't enter into it lightly. nor do we keep it legalistically, like the pharisees scolding Jesus in Matthew 12 for picking corn. Did we bale to beat the rain? Yes. Did we take a sabbaths day's rest on another day? Yes. You may or may not know it, but I pastor a church, so I work on every Sunday.... preaching, so I either don't get a sabbath, or I have to take another day as a sabbath. I personally believe the commission of a sabbath, is not to keep a certain day on the gregorian calendar, but to keep a day of rest , one out of seven. God rested on the 7th day, not because He was tired, but to set the precedent for man to rest one out of 7. I hope we didn't offend you too much, but to not work on Sunday at all in any condition, means i have to stop preaching God's Word as well.
