The Doors are low to keep the heat in the rooms. The boxes you are using as sidetables are from sri lanka, it says ceylon, which was the name of sri lanka in the early days😊
@@michelleguttmann6022one of the tea chests is from the Norwood Estate…. Where Norwood cottage is in Ceylon (Sri Lanka). And….. Norwood is the name of the convict ship my 2x g grandfather came to Australia on.
I just love the two of you ,I could move in o any of your buildings ,hope baby has settled in by now .Yo should be very proud of the history and how you’ve brought it back to life sending love to you all Ann ❤️❤️🇬🇧🧸🧸
We absolutely loved staying in the Caretaker’s Cottage- all the extra little details make it feel like home from home. Stylish but so comfortable. Hopefully we will be able to stay again
You did a beautiful job of giving the grand tour! It’s been wonderful to follow your journey through early still shots but the video really brings it into context…fantastic!👍
Love the quirkiness! I also really like how you try to include some of the history of the place into the decor. I can definitely see how your style has evolved from this one to more recent rooms you’ve done. Lovely tour!
Awesome ❤It was the best video! I loved all the details you‘re showing in this tour! Looking forward for the servants cottage, hayloft, dove house…. similar tours 😊
Taps! Totally agree. One of two mistakes we made during the first reno. Also - toilets. Always buy the best you can afford. Sick to death of leaky taps, and the cheap plastic on the toilet cistern. Really enjoyed the tour - you’ve also given m3 some info and tips that I will use in our next reno, which will be a kitchen, pantry and laundry. Listening to you describe the way you’ve changed your ideas through using things has been extremely helpful. And I love that yellow!
And we found a letter as well. During the First World War, the family living here lost three sons. I can’t even imagine the grief. When we were taking up some old Lino, we found a condolence letter. We found relations of the family and gave them the letter, not before taking a copy. I think it’s time to frame the copy.
Wow, how exciting. I love what you done with the renovations. It’s very beautiful. And I was happy to see the modern bathrooms and the amenities. That is likely the only thing, for me at least, that I would hate not having. Can’t wait for the next video tour.
Loved the tour and definitely want to see more. You both have a way of creating peace and harmony in the space, who wouldn't want to stay there. This is more my style than an expensive hotel. Love from South Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
A light-hearted note to Dean: As one other person commented, be careful about telling guests that the smaller bedroom’s hanging wall décor item is a bed pan. Calling it a bed warming pan, or simply a warming pan will keep things in proper order and prevent unfortunate misunderstandings! A bed pan is something else entirely. However both were designed to make the nights more user-friendly for the good folks of jolly old England. Anyway, carry on sharing delightful videos of creative, well-seasoned and eye-pleasing renovations and family adventures.

What a beautiful cottage and fabulous restoration. It is a lot bigger than I thought it was. You are kucky to have so many windows with beautiful views. Thank you so much for sharing.
Heaven on earth DOES exist. Both of you are unbelievable. Finally we can see part of the complete project from your tiny estate or I called it a dream estate. You brought the history back to life with the twist of the new modern and keep the tradition as it was. Detail oriented, the design from your desired, the colors and bring the natural light, the thoughts from both of your architectural, the flowers and the garden warm into the eyes. Priceless and perfectionist. That is “the labor of love”.
You both have done absolute wonders to this property it's beautiful you should be so proud of yourselves, Magnificent, hope baby Dantao is doing well you àll are a lovely family and one of the best uploaders in UA-cam xxxx❤❤❤
I can imagine the guests staying there enjoying all the decorative details and accents. "Ooh, look at this," will be the most used line for sure. Beautiful cottage all around!
You have impeccable taste and an incredible eye for detail. You also have restraint as decor and renovations can sometimes take on a life of their own and get out of hand. I love how you repurpose so much of what you have found on the property. ❤
would love a garden tour and especially how you keep those Hydrangea looking so magnificent and any ideas Borja has for arranging and drying them - im a bid hydrangea fan! And ofc keep the Danteo updates coming - hes the best xx
Love the cottage could just move in me and him indoors but need to get rid of some adult children first 😂 As a vintage of a long time I love all your old touches hubby does vintage telephones if you ever fancy one give me a shout 😂 would love to see more of any buildings at all ❤
Loved, loved your tour. What an amazing job you have done and how well you toured us around. I hate it when there is no orientation and I cannot feel the surroundings. You guys were spot on❤
I really adored the Caretaker's Cottage, quirks and all. I really miss the large kitchen we had when we lived in a 200-year-old house in Nova Scotia because everything now is more cramped and cosy but I need to have space because I get Claustrophobia tendencies but it is funny when I am reading a book that I really enjoy the cosier the room is the better I like it. I do like the architecture that you guys used Cannot wait to see which part of the estate you will show next time as I like all the places in your estate but a preference for me is that the Manor House is the last building that I want to see. I hope the three of you are having some fun times together.
There is definetly lots of different tastes when it come to decoration, the next tour you will probably enjoy more as we have got some wallpaper on the walls that we had remade
It's simply beautiful. Have you considered making frames for the TVs? You can do a rub n' buff or stain. Or a flexible printable , peel and stick molding. Might look nice
Thank you both for sharing everything you have done and gorgeous spaces you have created. Lots of ideas to incorporate into our upcoming renovations. Can I please ask the process of creating the wider paneling in the 2nd bedroom, I love that look.

Those tea chests are from Sri Lanka, the country was called Ceylon under British colonization, its cool to see that chest survived that long
