Yo ty just about to get one of these love saving money
Yes Chad now your taking this will played many times on the big screen in the cave mate
The thumbnail for this video should be on a T-shirt! It says everything about you and the terror of raw speed! I'd buy one right now! 👍😎
What happened to the rotary speed boat?
@@connoisseuroftigolbitts - ua-cam.com/video/MkwEMQYJ85E/v-deo.html
400 horse piece of plywood, brilliant. Thanks Chad.
🤣
No, that is real wood, the chipwood and cardboard stuff is the rubbish americans call a house.
@@alielabdimarras7965 I mean it doesn't rot, its pretty cheap, and lasts forever lol
@@alielabdimarras7965 For having such nice houses they sure didn't survive the bombings in WW2 very well ahahahahaha💀💀💀💀
As always we had to save absolutely everything
ngl i feel like a 4jj1 with 50psi of boost should be more than that
*just slightly*
The driver has a permanent smile on his face the entire time you are freaking out 🤣🤣🤣🤣
9:44 start here.. at least 10 seconds of him questioning his decision 😂❤
Sorry 3 seconds.. then smiles again 😂
Good job 👍👍👍
Глаза узкие для скорости,а не для хитрости).
"Bro, you do not want to ride on one of these boats. This sh*t is f*cking terrifying!" 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for taking the ride for us. Everything feels 8x faster on water, I can imagine that thing is insane!
You can tell how proud he is of that boat. Good stuff man. That rip down the river looks so damn fun idc I want a ride. It's like the water version of doing 60mph through trees on a dirtbike 😂 🤙
Absolutly right! 😄
No helmets, no life jackets. Thai Style 👍🏽.
Safety third! first go-fast and look cool 😎
none of that will help st that speed if theirs a crash
Bigtime.
Not even a grab handle!
Wood knot..
It’s crazy you’re going that fast with no breaks!!!
Brakes are for pussies!
We did take a few breaks between each pull LOL
@@CBMedia404 See what you did there ;)
brakes*
@@CBMedia404 were you guys topping out around 60 mph?! dammmmnnn
I just recently learned about why seaplanes have a step in their hulls and it looks like that Thai riverboat has it as well. When a boat or plane accelerates through water the front end lifts and the rear get pushed down with increases hydrodynamic drag. This drag makes it difficult for planes to gain enough speed to take off so there is a step in the hull that the plane can pitch forward on and ride on and since there is less surface area there is less drag and more speed. I think when these riverboats dig the propeller deeper into the water it pushes the rear of the boat up and then you only have two smaller points where the hull is contacting the water and it can gain speed. That has got to feel sketchy as hell since you are basically a giant skipping stone
Those water plants are invasive species. They're actually from Java, Indonesia. Just around 150 years back one of our princes had them in his palace ponds for decoration. But to his unawareness Thailand's occasional great flood in Bangkok had set loose these invasive plants into our canals and rivers. They spread all over central region of Thailand till today. Our ecosystem had perfectly adapted to welcome them. But our original visuals of freshwaters had gone forever.
Like WRC, manoeuvring off each bounce
The longtail pilots smile was so big, he obviously loves flying his boat
That’s the video 3yrs ago that got me hooked on CB media. Still here, todays video still makes me grin ear to ear. Keep it up Chad bro.
True definition of a Chad....❤
400hp on a toothpick is just insane ❤
We call that nutshell here:) Like a waltnut half.
60 mph skimming across the water, ZERO safety equipment of any kind. I love it. ❤️
Yay Thailand River boat is back
I have great respect for the people who build and operate these Thai Longtail Boats. Possibly they never went to school to be engineers or pilots, but sure they did an excellent job. Hat off from USA.
Each year, many students graduate from professional fields in Thailand to supply the industry in the country.
Yo those selfie stick shots on the boat were insane!!!
no life jacket, no helmet, no straps, no seat belt, no bucket seat, no insurance, no fire extinguisher... all you need is guts and bravery to experience the adrenaline rush... awesome!
I love the smile on the boats captains face. I was one of your original subscribers back when younhad about 800 subs. I miss the bike tours you did alot.
OMG, the look on your face is hilarious. Meanwhile, the boat captain is just smiling like it's just another normal boat ride. Brillant Chad.
I really love watching your videos of you traveling in Thailand.❤
Your first thai riverboat was what made me subscribed to your channel. It's amazing how this channel has grown so much and your hard work and constantly making amazing content keeps you growing. Keep it up bro. I should have taken a picture with you when I met you in Pattaya 😂. Hopefully when ever I make it back to Thailand I'll run into you again. ✌️
Selfie next time!
@@CBMedia404 for sure bro
I remember when you dropped that video, I was already a member I even got the OG riverboat t-shirt….Well done brother!
a riverboat video is what reeled me in too
That has got to be one of the greatest videos i have ever seen . Here i am sitting in Oregon bored as hell watching your fantastic journey. Thank you for the videos my man . Please tell that man who took you on the ride he is amazing
You gotta love that electricity work near the water. Just imagine hitting that with your 360 %) Also impressive is the way traffic works in Thailand. They always seem to give each other just enough room without colliding. No matter if it is on the road or on the water. Another impressive video, that gives a great sense of speed. 😎
LOL! Chad is pissing himself and the Thai dude is just looking around, and behind, business as usual! That would be awesome to try!
I remember going on a tour to the bridge over the river Kwai back in 2004, there was 2 boat loads of us and the guys appeared to b dragging each other down the river with the tourists in the boats. I remember turning to my mate and asking him how fast he reckons we were going. It seriously felt like 200km/ph. Its only now I realised that we were probably on one of these part time drag boats. I've never seen one again until I seen this vid and always questioned myself if my memory was right until now.
boat guy just smile like nothing happened 😌
3:45 when you say hello I heard da dog say hello before the human response.
The smile on the drivers face priceless !
Looks like the boat redirects air out the sides so it doesn't lift. There's a lot going on there from their experience no doubt.
I was looking at the flex of the tiller/engine/prop shaft.
As Thai, these boats are like hundreds year of knowhow to make. No engineer there to make a CFD sim, just pure mechanic and experience passthrough generation. So, they might not be perfect, but it's as raw as you can get haha
@@jnhkz Yeah, I watch videos of thai people making boats and it's crazy to watch them build. They make all kinds of angled cuts without a speedsquare or tape measure and it still comes out perfectly. I have no idea how they do it.
Seriously EPIC. Dude opened it up and smiled at your terror. LOVE it man.
Look at the happiness on old mates face as he drives that long boat.
Epic
Flying between the concrete pillars going at least 50 mph is insanely terrifying, esp being exposed without any safety precautions. Ie lifejacket, actual seats. Oh, how I miss and love Thailand.
video can't justify bro. If he bends the tail 1 degree more, fucking concrete pillars right on your face instantly hahaha
I love the smile on the drivers face when your screaming like a little ( insert own explicit lol). Thanks for the video bud always love the long tails 😊😊😊
The OG Longtail Videos have brought me to this channel and have been subscribed ever since, so I'm extra happy you revisit your roots, this time even in 360°.
Amazing how steady the picture was when you can see the "selfie stick" flopping around like a bamboo fly fishing rod. Good to see you back on the water, totally unexpected.
Your first few videos on these made me want to build a spiced up longtail like these. I finally built one last summer. Used a 75hp two stroke jetski engine, a 100” long tail; and put it on a 14ft jon boat. It’s certainly not as fast as these, but it goes much faster than my boat was meant for🤣.
I’d love to ride in one of these. One day I’m going to build a 13b rotary one. Great video as always!
A rotary version of these boats is a great idea, do you know if it has been done before?
@@totsuit7518 It’s absolutely been done over there. That’s what powered his Thaitanic boat. Never seen one done over here though. The problem is finding an ideal boat for it, my local river and lake would not be the place to drive those shallow transomed boats the thai guys use.
This was absolutely epic, I can't imagine going that fast let alone down a little narrow cannal. My hydrenollin was surging just watching you guys through the screen. Awesome video stay safe.😊
Just crazy insane going that fast on that narrow canal.
The sheer terror on Chad's face is Epic! 😂 That camera does an AMAZING job! 👏🏻
sprintcars are the only thing in the states with 900 hp and weighs 1500 with driver so i can imagine the hp to weight ratio with the longtail
It better than Star Trek hitting the warp button!! What an insane phenomenal race machine. He can be proud to build such beautiful looking monsters!
Wow, that's something ya wouldn't forget, the scary thing is you are committed to a very straight line , if someone pulls out in front of you at those speeds there wouldn't be much left of ya, you should have had that guy do your build from start to finish, he seems to have it figured out ? Cheers from Ontario Chad, I can't wait to get to Thailand in a couple of months, be careful, keep your stick on the ice and the shiny side up bud !
That is a badass hobby. I really enjoy these videos.
BIke rides were awesome Chad . Please start again
look at the smile on the captians face, note he is feathering the throttle you can see it with the puffs of black smoke. Love it!!!
That is nuts!!! I wanna ride!!!! I was smiling from ear to ear watching y’all fly thru that lil canal.
Outstanding, Chad, just fff..ing Outstanding!!!! This must go viral, the best of any riverboat vids you've done. I hope you're able to do more with this guy in the future. He comes across as a really nice guy, and it's great that you gave him a quality whisky [JB black]
Wow the shop looks like a Thai hoarder but I have known mechanics like him and believe me he knows where everything thing is. You can ask him for anything and he knows right where to get it. Another great video Chad.
I've been busy the past couple of months, spending my Friday night catching up on your CB media & CB 1 Take posts, and let me tell ya Chad....seeing you back in a longtail boat, rippin' down a canal, with that ear-to-ear grin......
Utter awesomeness brother!
The Nostalgia!! How Myself, and I'm sure Many first discovered your channel!
I really enjoyed the floating market tourist trap. But man, when the nostril boats even start to open up, it is amazing. I'm glad to see you back at it creating awesome content have some fun and a beer cheers to you and Thailand!
Absolute madness! Love to see it!
Bro I love this channel, it's so awesome to see you thriving while doing what you love. And furthermore, it's awesome to have a spotlight on the amazing things Thai people do.
This was such a cool perspective man, I loved every moment of it.
We need more turbo boat
great stuff mate love the d max engine
All these random engine parts really gets my motor running! The finished product is absolutely just a beauty 100%. Thanks for pointing out your main channel! I will for sure make my way backwards. I like listening to you rambling :D!
That boat is just holy crap setting amazing!!!
That Black Label Whisky will goes a long way in term of friendship. As for the Euro girls, their number continue to increase year after year and yes, i do find them interesting also. now for the boat, i think a long tail design needed some modernization to align with new tech/ innovation. improvements on aeros and build materials could be ground breaking upgrades that increase speed, stability, drivability, safety and overall experience.
I think you're right. It looks super cool and crazy exciting and all that, but if that guy offered to take me for a ride I'd probably say "Nah, I'm good thanks". Especially on those narrow canals.
If your worst fear is dying from old age, fear no more. These boats are the answer. Even if you do grow old, you'll appreciate what an accomplishment it was.
That put a smile on my face man that looks insane, what a legend.
That is some bad ass boating!
This is next level shit! ❤🙏
@jonnyasia try it with Som😂
Glad to see this back .PT 1 was one of my fav episodes
dude, you should have your own longtail built, that would be awesome !
Chad did have one but it didnt end well
He had a rotary long tail built .... But bad shop practices...it never got completed..he sold the boat..idk about the rotary engine
@slashhamby4663 the rotary is in Heng's garage. You can see it in the walk through video he did recently
Chad looks like every honda driver….while the boat captain looks like a passenger. Calm collected while chads TERRIFIED. Vtec yo!!!!
100mph or something and my guy is just smiling all chill n sht lol, legend!
About 9:50 he`s like, "yep, he`s sufficiently terrified, job well done" 😎
Great ride Chad!! And how about that camera….amazing shots of you running the river….well done.
Wow !!! my hearts pounding !!!!! just watching !!!! you have balls of steel !!!!!
As always! Epic video! I love watching your adventures!
These are indeed your BEST videos!!!! Thanks Chad!!!!
i've been waiting too see his reaction on these beast. Chad was shaking after the first pull. Im just enjoying at work watching this . Glad you're safe brother.
One of your best for a while, you could see the slight panic on your face and your pilot smiling as if he was taking a walk in the park.
Love seeing the long tail boat content again bro. 🤜💥🤛
Awesome Chad, always entertaining 👍
These guys have balls of steel going that fast in a confined space with no brakes. 😂
And no brakes! imagine that! you need balls of steel to drive this. AWSOME longtail, great video!
You literally bring content not found anywhere else. Thank you
i'm really curious with the ideas of these builders. Specifically on the idea on which is more important on a thai drag racing longboat. More torque or revs.
I love this channel. I do not comment much but Chad has a natural talent for sharing with all of us. These videos are so entertaining and informative about the motor sport culture in Thailand. Chad if you are reading this - A huge congratulations to your success and a even bigger thank you for what you do. Rob in California
Insane speed, The whole rig is piece of art. Regarding the x3 I have had one since they were introduced. It is really an amazing camera, and the longer I have it the more i figure out how to get crazy shots that are impossible any other way.
"This boat dances...I am not new to this, I am true to this..." Great video.
Turbo noise and intake sounds absolutely insane
How that wood holds that boost god nose but what a guy
Your glasses did well not to fall off whilst that insane turbin was going on
When i went to thailand 6 uears ago these river boats were so much fun and sl quick even though i probably werent on any fast boat.
I love it !!!!!!! Been following for a while now!!!! Long tails in thai are def on the bucket list. If your ever touring Canada and find yourself looking for a different boating experience please look me up! I run mini jet boats in the remote northern rocky mountains and would love to take ya on a tour!
I remember the look on your face from your first speed ride video !! Priceless 👍👍👍
3 years since this is on my to do list. Another great video chad.
Yeah right, that was fkn insane Chad, now i get it. That camera is next level and great perspective. The dudes just crouching there having a casual look around, true master in flow.
Soooooo fast, breathtaking. Good job bros.
Still amazing to watch after all these years.
Camera seems an ideal choice for this activity. That side on shot would be like a scfi-film if not for the wind flexing the boom.
That dancing the boat does, makes sense at high speed - it gets air pockets out from under the boat, so you don't end up with a high pressure zone flipping it - Compare Donald Campbells Bluebird, to Ken Warby's Spirit of Australia - There a reason Warby was the last man to take the waterspeed record and survive it, his boat also rocks side to side...
Such a thrill to watch!! Thanks for this!!
I like how he's so chill and you look terrified 😂 not that I wouldnt be but it's funny! Great video!
Organized Chaos! Thank You for giving Us what We all need! Epic is an understatement.
Love those longtail boat vids Chad!
This is amazing. I wish i could fly my dad and me down to Thailand and get him to experiance riding in one of these.
What top speed did y’all hit? Like watching your videos from central Florida!
That original Longtail video is the first video I saw from you and subscribed. Glad to see you getting back to it. You should do this every year... you get a free face-lift
HOLY MOTHER of JET ENGINES ON LONGTAIL BOATS in the BAYOUS of THAILAND, Chad, you're at it again!!!!! WOW!! How many times did I just watch this?!?!?!! Glad as well to see you rockin' the shirt I love the most! BRO...!! Be safe! Wow!
Those boats are beautiful.
