I've been trying to get my students over to this grip for a while so thanks for this video. I have like a thousand drum videos on my channel but this is a good one that I'll recommend
@@DavidOLessons feel free to use all the materials out on my drum website which is the same name as my channel, and the channel has a link in the about table. But I think there's about a thousand drum videos out there. Feel free to use it all or the ideas in them as many are quite revolutionary.
Thank you for your question. I would say the reason why most drum teachers don’t teach middle finger fulcrum to beginner students is because the index fulcrum is generally considered to be easier to get out of the gate. However, In my teaching practice I’ve started teaching it earlier on in my student’s journey and come to realize it’s totally worth the effort!
this sounds fantastic I've just recently discovered this technique after many years and hoping it could be a turning point
Thanks for watching Pete! The middle finger fulcrum could be a game changer for sure!

What happens if my middle finger is bent and near my ring finger

Yeah that's pretty common.
Teachers like to start people with index finger fulcrum and cite other grip types as wrong
Why isn't this teached earlier?
