    13 minutes in and I'm for sure going to my local tint shop Black Diamond having my 2019 Tacoma tinted for 300.. Great video but the skill and tools required to do this properly are priced better than the time and materials I would go for DIY.

    awesome video, thank you. May I suggest that you finish your video with a before and after tint. Showcase your beautiful work. I know I would like to see more of the tint and tour around the car on how it looks. GREAT JOB. Cheers.

    I've tinted a bunch of those with no door panel removal. Saving alot of time. And still no contamination.

    Nice job. Impressive that you are using an M12 driver and not the M18. Makes me crazy when I see people using hi powered 18-24 volt tools for trim work. Not only are those way too powerful for delicate trim, their added weight adds to unnecessary fatigue making it harder for all day precision use.

    So that razor blade doesn’t scratch the glass when you cut the tint on top of the glass like that?

    How do you always know how to remove the interior trim panels so well ? Is there some kind of database or manual you have access to ?

    No shrinking on front window? Or just skipped in video?

    • @michaellangerman4615

      No because hes bottom loading it. When you pull the gasket you can get away with not haveing to shrink on the outside. Sometimes youll get fingers still but most of the time your good tho.

    Hey Shawn when put the tint on the outside of the window preparing it to cut out, you a line the bottom edge with rubber on the bottom rubber edge, and I’ve tinted a new Toyota Tacoma like this and the inside bottom rubber seal is a bit lower than the outside, so how is going to get tucked down below the inside seal if you cut it like that?

    • @07ZX6R
      @07ZX6R Рік тому

      Inside seal is above where he cut on the outside. Plus he pulled the tint slightly lower than the top of the window allowing no light to shine though from the outside and hiding the line from both sides.

  • @trentfranks4507
    @trentfranks4507 4 роки тому

    You can pry the top back without removal, just out of habit I’d rather remove them doesn’t take long and I’d rather not risk the front side of the seal scratching any trim behind the side mirrors

    • @WindowTintWarriors
      @WindowTintWarriors  4 роки тому +1

      the strip on the tacoma is part of the door panel.

    • @trentfranks4507
      @trentfranks4507 4 роки тому

      Window Tint Warriors i know, I agree with your removal. I meant remove the entire panel because the strip is part of the panel. When I first started some panels I could curl back over the edge without pulling panel to save time. I had one truck that when I bent it back over it scratched the trim that was not part of the panel around the front edge. I’d rather take the whole panel off, takes one damage/mistake to ruin a day!
