(1:39) Wouldn't the refrigerant enter the compressor as a low pressure, relatively HIGH temperature vapor due to having absorbed the thermal energy from the evaporator coil?
Enters compressor - low pressure, high temperature
Leaves compressor - high pressure, high temperature
Enters expansion valve - high pressure, low temperature (released thermal energy through condenser coil)
Leaves expansion valve - low pressure, low temperature
Good video. Thanks.
Yes this is correct. I noticed the mistake in the video as well. Thought i was the only one
Great video, thank you very much , note to self(nts) watched all of it 0:10
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very good video 🎉
So great and detailed clear explanation! Thanks
I’m glad you found it helpful! Thank you for your comment.
Great explanation, please can you tell how you make such elegant video 😅
Thanks for your comment! I use Cinema 4D for modelling and animation.
Thank you for your reply and for your efforts, I wish the best!
Good explanation
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Professor I have a question here. Refrigerators and heat-pumps also operate in a cycle ,right? I mean There's no change from initial to final, so right side of our energy balance equation is zero?
Cool vid, love the fridge! Would also be good to cover defrost cycle.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for your recommendation it’s a great idea, I will add it to the list :)
My fridge/freezer has been making noise since the last time I had defrosted it. The (inside) back of my fridge keeps getting icy, eventhough I have set it on the lowest temperature. It seems doesn’t go off when it reaches the right temperature. I have to manually switch off the thermostate, even so it sometimes refuse to switch off. Thus I unplug and plug it again to start. Do you think the thermostate is broken? Or is the compressor lacking of gas due to the age of the fridge (12+ years)? I see some greenish areas on the copper at the back. How do you remove it? Both sides of the fridge (right on close to the door) are also warmer than what I remember. Thank you in advance
Hi Sir/Madam, with little knowledge I have, you need to replace your themorstat... The greenish things you see as some dirties on the wire, if they're made of copper. The thermostat controls the system, it order the compressor to stop when there's too much cold and when it detect that the refrigerator needs some cold, it orders the compressor to start on.
