Just a tip for next time..... wear full protective gear designed for dealing with fibreglass. Especially the correct respiratory and eye protective gear. Check with your local council regs for safe disposal of fibreglass and asbestos. We found asbestos panels buried in our garden!
When replacing the Insulation pick some made from wool. Not only does it better insulate, I believe it has better fire retardant qualities and also much better ecologically than fiberglass.
Hey there! Late reply, sorry. That's solid advice, thank you! We were lucky enough to find a super nice former carpenter on FB Marketplace who was selling a bunch of his old tools. Definitely helped to get someone with the inside scoop 🙂
Thanks! 🙂 And guess what, Kat managed to finagle the safety to now *always* be unlocked, so we can use the saw again! Still wouldn't recommend it, though
The trick is...every time you have a new job, you say "well I can't do it without THIS tool. Then you go and get that tool. So now you have to go out and get new tools to fix your broken tool. Pretty soon your neighbor knows your name and is making you pies because, well, you have all the tools they need to borrow.

You need a Sawzaw! Ever heard of them!
My son is a carpenter, he always says a workman is only as good as his tools!! (Just a little advise on buying tools there) ❤❤

That 'Oh my days, what am i getting myself into' look at the beginning 😂 xx...The insulation has fibre glass in it....hence the itchiness x
Haha! Yep, that's pretty much what was going through my head at the time 😀
I always use baby wipes straight afterwards as it closes the pores of the skin and removes the itchy fibre glass dust.
@@NmpK24 love this tip. We will try it as we have more insulation to do!

Haha! That's perfect. So we can get even more tools AND we don't have to do up the kitchen anytime soon...
