I have worked in Carnival, as a head sommelier and moved to new Festival 78 as assistant Maître Di I have enjoy my time there and really missed those times
Went on the Madi Gras in 1984. On the Festival in 1992. Have been on several othe Carnival ships. Got on a gambling ship out of Gaveston in 1994 and realized it was the old Madi Gras. Seemed really old by then. Still that ship started my love of cruising 😎
Sailed on the Destiny, Legend, Glory, Sunshine (actually the Destiny rebuilt and rebranded) and the Elation. Have always enjoyed the trips, especially the friendly staff. One room steward told us that he had great loyalty for Carnival - they paid him when no ships were sailing during COVID.
Thank you Sal! My husband and I love your videos. They are always informative and entertaining. We hope to one day bump into on a cruise. I'm hoping our sail in September won't be cancelled. Cheers from MY Lido Deck in California! 😊🍹⚓
Only cruise line we go on Even in bad times and 2 cancelled cruise we still have sunshine booked for September, January for journey cruise and next March for carnival 50th birthday cruise meet up and I’m sure we go a few times in between
I started to learn the cruise industry when Queens Mary 2 arrived in New York Harbor in 1999 and I learned the Carnival Cruise because of Queens Mary 2. In fact, Arison’s son also NBA basketball team, Miami Heat. Ted Arison was the co-founder of Carnival Cruise Corporation, Norwegian Cruise Lines Holdings, with the combination of his son owned Miami Heat represents the former Jewish business influence power in Florida, especially in Miami. Harbor Cities financial centers like Miami, Manhattan Wall Street, Brooklyn Williamsburg, etc do have a large part of Jewish businessmen control a large part of businesses.
We've sailed on the Elation, Ecstacy, Conquest, Fantasy, Liberty, Dream & in Dec 2020 will be sailing on the Panorama & in Apr 2022 will be sailing on the Mardi Gras👍

Love that sequence at the middle end where you synced all the ships with the beat

To hear the opening unaware of who would be speaking caused goose bumps. Thanks just for that!
That was a very speech about the sea that JFK gave. It still gives me chills when I hear itr
A rollercoaster on the ship?! That's amazing. Carnival is really stepping up their game. Thank you for posting this video.

Many love to disparage Carnival but it is the cruise line that built the modern cruise industry.
That was nice history...thx
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks Sal. I found this very interesting even if it was a bit short. lol. (that is not sarcasm)
We are going to cut this one is a three part. The early years… The Kathy Lee years… And present day. Especially continuations over the next week or so
didn’t the own Concordia?!
I am a platinum member of carnival
It's a shame that they are retiring the fantasy class ships
Can anyone tell me is the valor a good ship
This was well produced. It could've gone viral if you had put more effort into it and made it longer.
