Just finished a semester on grotowski, moving on to this work next semester. It looks physically challenging but it's more about doing these exercises to your own physical ability and connecting the mind and body in a form of movement meditation.
i start my college before covid and the pandemic took literally half of my training years on the college. Seeing them make me miss my early beggining training days. I feel like I'm not good actor. I graduated but I wasn't ready for it. Training in home is not the same.
What about the emotional, internal and psychological creations for a character? How do Barba's technique approach it? Is this technique appliable to american playwrigths as well?
Man if all that moving didn't help you to feel and learn how to evocate sensations thru movement i guess you should focus on other ways of learning and makinf theatre.
