we need more pieces with guitars and other classical instruments the closer these two get the less the guitar feels like the odd one out of classical music which is the role the instrument currently holds

I definitely like listening to solo guitar playing rather than in an orchestra. When an orchestra plays, the sound of the guitar is greatly muffled by other musical instruments. 👏👏👏
This 4 part composition combined with the fact the performance is greater than the sum of the 5 parts results in an other worldly experience for me. Bravo!
What a beautiful piece of music and fine performance. The violin and guitar parts in the Prelude sound stunningly rich and lonely at the same time, like two beings feeling the same thing on different planets. The decending scales in the Prelude seem to allude to Bach's Chaconne and there are few other bits where it almost feel like a homage to him. Couldn't help but smile at the plucked chords in the Aria bloom into a 'dawn in Kakadu' space that evokes that Sculthorpes best works. Hope you guys keep the music coming as its great to relax with a glass of nice wine, leave the world at the door and connect to the best of humanity.
Interesting work The 4th mouvement on Galilei is very light and open. I've search Vincenzo and did not know he is the father of the mathematician and physician 🙃 Great work Alexandra! New guitar repertoire is always fun to discover !👍

Понаблюдай за женщинами в оркестрах, как они себя ведут и как чувствуют, о чем думают (иногда мечтают...), некоторые придумывают себе легенду на время выступления))), чтоб не отвлекаться. К коллективу нужно привыкнуть. Мы все волнуемся за тебя, будь смелее. И главное, не забывай про инициативу, у тебя ведущая партия, твое настроение - это настроение всего оркестра.
I have just found your content this evening Alexandra, and I must say you are a very good and enjoyable player. Obviously as this is someone else's composition it's apparent at times that you are wading through their work to a degree, but there are points in the piece, especially the repetitions earlier on that seem to invite the player to make sense of the monotony of repetition, which is a hard thing to do with sensitivity. I hope in time, and perhaps with experience you will explore your favourite pieces a little more, and add your interpretation and sensitivity to them. Also the piece lacked at times some striking flourishes for the guitar, which would have suited it I think. Overall very good. :)

Oh, that was just beautiful! Such a great piece and played so well. I can only hope this is the first of many pieces John writes for guitar. This is on repeat and added to my all time favourites. Not sure if its just me, but I can’t download the Dance - the linked pdf appears to be the Prelude
Gorgeous! One question. Did the 1st violin understand he was part of the accompaniment for the guitar? Methinks he wishes to be the star.....he was far too loud in the first movement...no....too loud all throughout. Or was it poor sound mixing? No. I believe he was attempting to drown out the guitar.
