    Reducing Redshift rendering time made this tutorial one of its kind👍 well done.

    A very well done training. There is the best tutorial I found on the web about AAE and C4D cooperation. Exactly, at a good pace, with all the details, on the new C4D and Redshift layout.
    Thank you and best regards to the author👌👍

    I keep having your videos come up and they are consistently the best tutorials I have come across. You’ve answered and solve so many issues I’ve had in C4D over the years. The latest showing how you troubleshoot and examine render quality vs speed for each channel is a huge help and should be a tutorial on its own. Thank you for the great videos

      Thanks man, really great to hear this and I'm glad you're getting some value from the tutorials!

    If you can't find "back-plate", add a shader graph to the RS Dome Light and it should become available then.

      Settings have changed a lot in the newer versions of c4d, thanks for the tip though!

    Good job man.
    Which graphics card you have.
    I didn't jet bought comp, but I noticed your render time vas 12 hours.
    From that reason I asking.
    My target is rtx 4090 and just trying to finalize how much time will be with that card?

      @jbmocean399  Рік тому

      Hey man, so for this tutorial I was using a GTX 1080. Your rtx 4090 should slice through those render times, enjoy!

    I would think it would be possible use the camera move you already have and render out a separate object to use as a mask and save yourself a lot of rotoscoping?? This is what I’m working on right now, not sure if I can get it to work but I’m giving it a try.

    • @MarkyMark662
      @MarkyMark662 2 роки тому

      Or at least use the tracker to track the mask for the shadows?

    • @jbmocean399
      @jbmocean399  2 роки тому

      That could be a good idea and a huge timesaver... Let me know how you get on

      may be you can do it in C4D. Keep the cube you used for the dynamics and make it align with the top of the tower. Give it a special color, render it with the baloons and mask this color in AE with Keylight or another tool. For the shadows, may be it is better to render them apart with transparency in this case. I hate doing handmade masks 😄

  • @heavenlypictures4200
    @heavenlypictures4200 Рік тому +1

    Quick question. Do you think it's better to do the tracking in AE versus C4D? Is the AE as good as C4D or is it better in your opinion?

    • @jbmocean399
      @jbmocean399  Рік тому +1

      I think it all depends on the footage... If you are trying to isolate certain areas of the shot to track then I'd go with c4d.. you can be more specific with what to track and what not to.. also c4d makes it easier to place various objects around the tracked scene as you can reset transform objects using any of the track points as a reference... So I'd go with AE for every-day stuff, for more pin point stuff I'd go with c4d

    What about following your video withouth redshift? It's possible using standar render? Thanks!!

    • @jbmocean399
      @jbmocean399  Рік тому +1

      It is possible yes.... I did a compositing tutorial using standard rendering. You can use the methods from this video and apply them to the drone tutorial... Any questions let me know, I'll try my best to help out

    Please someone help me out here! I don't have the back-plate option in the RS dome light. Using Cinema 4D R26.014 and have been looking for a workaround for hours now. Going insane... How can I add the video footage as a background video in Redshift? (It works with the cinema renderer and a background object with the sequence texture of course but I don't want that)

    • @jbmocean399
      @jbmocean399  10 місяців тому +1

      Try clicking on the Redshift camera and check for a Background tab. If there is one then you can load your image sequence in there... That's the way it's done in the latest version of C4d/Redshift anyway.

    30:02 in 3.5 redshift cant find 'back-plate' tab

    • @jbmocean399
      @jbmocean399  Рік тому +2

      Yes, it's been changed in the latest update and it's a bit annoying. So what you now have to do is use a Redshift camera and add the backplate into the 'Background' tab of the RS Camera. Another hurdle is that after doing to 3D Solve you are given a standard camera. You need to make the RS cam a child of the standard cam so that it will follow it then you will have access the the 'Background' tab in the RS Cam. Hope that helps

      @@jbmocean399 thanks, another one problem is the some sphere is becoming oval, why it can happend?

    • @goodvibesberlin
      @goodvibesberlin 10 місяців тому

      I made the RS Camera a child of the solved camera. In the background tab of the RS camera I put a checkmark on "Override" and and "Enabled" and then linked the footage under "Image" but it doesn't work. Any ideas?@@jbmocean399

    Quick question, if you model the scene a little bit and then render , would we have less masking required ?

    • @jbmocean399
      @jbmocean399  6 місяців тому

      You would for sure... The only thing is positioning the geometry, you'd have to be super accurate to avoid clipping in the incorrect places

    I exported camera and solids to C4D, but camera has no animation :/

    • @jbmocean399
      @jbmocean399  2 роки тому

      Did you create an image sequence using the footage provided?
      Make sure the start time is set to
      00:00:00 in AE.
      Make sure the first frame you are looking at in c4d is frame 0...
      Can you see any camera keyframes in the c4d dopesheet? Open it up and zoom right out
