It’s my favorite song ever haha
I know !! It should have won Best Song in the Grammys and Academy Awards. I secretly want to to slap the academy and grammy members who didn’t vote LOL
It’s so difficult for me to heard this song but I love him so much at the same time... Like the entire movie

Faye Hunter i don’t wanna 😭. i’ve already cried enough bro! i heard the book ending is safer! but theirs a sequel so imma read that. i heard it doesn’t really focus on them so that’s lowkey disappointing
sav dad the last part is so sad and yea think I’m gonna read the second one too but dunno If I can get that emotionally attached again lol
Faye Hunter BRO ME TOO. i don’t want to go in with high hopes and expectations since the first book was so wonderful. if they don’t end up together again i’m suing 😂💀
Can he do the whole movie? I'm willing to watch hours of it repeatedly and I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants it.
Yes please. He didn't get to do the audio commentary.
Hahaha if armie actually read this his comment will be the middle finger emoji 😂

It was a paid actor😉
Actually, he's wrong: the dam was built in 1932, but the waterfall is not artificial, it was there since forever. If it's not very dry there's usually a bit of water coming down, but the whole flow is opened only four times a year to attract tourists! (Btw it's full of hiking trails around there, highly recommended to visit!)
@@PoloniDario wow! nice you've been there.

@@humminbird6990 Yes it's one of the best movies to come out in the last decade, simple yet so profound.
luca, don't think i've forgotten about that 4 hour director's cut
It was the initial cut (an unfinished movie, a starting point from which to finalize it), not the director's cut. The movie we got IS the director's cut, since Luca made the movie he wanted to.
do you know where to find it? I’ve been looking for the first cut forever.
@@kate-cg5ty It's not available anywhere, so there's no point looking for it. There is no actual alternative, finished, longer movie. First cuts, as a rule, are not released (or just floating around somewhere to be found by persistent members of the public). The material is edited, and only then released, like with books etc. There's first an unfinished version of every movie, and eventually the movie is released in its finished version, after the normal process of film making. Imagine a sculpture being made, first a block of material, eventually a piece of art, sculpted by the artist. Luca sculpted the piece of art for us to admire - that is the finished film. The mythical 4 hour cut some fans talk about was the block he started the sculpting from (not by himself, he had help, like Walter Fasano, but you get the idea).

I hope they release a Criterion edition of CMBYN with deleted scenes and Armie/Timothée/Luca commentary.
if you buy the film of CMBYK on itunes they have the film with timothee doing commentary!
@Baa 123 I've written them before and never heard anything back. It was about Brokeback Mountain and I think Focus Features is very reluctant to let Criterion touch their intellectual property.
Criterion and Sony Picture Classics seem to have a good relationship. Indeed, they might release CMBYN along with Luca's two other movies that make up his "Desire Trilogy."
They released all three of the "Before" films at one time as well. Both the "Before" trilogy and the "Desire" trilogy were Sony Picture Classics. That said, I think it will be several years before the "Desire" trilogy gets the Criterion treatment. I think Armie should make a full commentary recording for the entire movie now while his memories are still fresh. His commentary can be used later.
I read somewhere that the sequel will feature flashbacks using unused footage from CMBYN.
niamh alesky That commentary is with Timothee and Michael Stuhlbarg. It’s good, but without Armie or Luca, it loses something. FYI, Armie Hammer reads the audio book and while I haven’t heard the whole thing, he does a great job.

It's kinda weird that he said that is not a real waterfall and it only flows like once a year, because when I saw it in the film, I thought it actually looked like the water was falling for the first time over the rocks and it brought me to tears of how beautiful it was. It's an invaluable insight into the movie making, showing us how the seemingly effortless and 'easy looking' (no martial arts, shouting, cars colliding, CGs, lengthy monologues, etc) scenes like this actually take SO MUCH hard work and perseverance from all parties. And you can really see that Arnie Hammer - forget what haters say about his privileged background - is a real professional. GQ, or anyone, really ought to do a serious series of this.
The funny part though is how Armie Hammer destroys every scene in this video. What he's trying to convey is that this is all an illusion. It's not a bad thing, just a fact and I love the honesty.

“I don’t know if he actually said that or if he didn’t want me to press charges”
Scrolled through the whole section for this comment!
😀
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen that scene and cried because of that song
When Elio comes back just for a brief moment to caress Oliver's hair and then runs forward howling and shouting his name! ❤😇
The story is indeed beautiful but all the actors, the director as well the cinematographer, all need lots and lots of appreciation for portraying the message so beautifully that it felt so real to us all. I have never been to Italy but it made feel as if I was going along the journey of the 2 men who fell in love in the summer of 1983, somewhere in Northern Italy. :')
It’s was great movie right ?
