Thanks for playing the songs! 2 Months ago started to learn violin with no knowledge and 66 years old. For a first try to learn it today just took the violin like a guitar, but could follow you till minute 14 just by listening without notes. Soon will try it also with bow! Greetings from Germany!
@@bochankang Sure! Yes, shall use it more often and play with you together. Working on it to improve more and more. Can also play it with accordion that helps me to understand better the notes sometimes if some songs are not not known to me.
i hate reading nites myself. bad habit of mine bu yeah tqo years and i am still hating reading notes out of papers. i like to use my ears and stock knowledge better. i am also violin player and former guitar player
Thanks for recording those songs! I am currently learning violin at the age of 73. I have a fabulous teacher and watching your video just reinforces me between lessons.
I started learning violin again after 3 years and I had some knowledge from my 3 years of learning, but I still can’t read the notes etc. But I watched this video and could play 9 songs by ear! Thank you:)
Hej dear Bochan, thank you so much, it is really helpful for me to hear the pieces several times during practising. I´m a beginner, been learning the violin for one year now. I just finished book 1 with my great Chinese teacher here in Germany, love this instrument. Actually, I´m a piano player from childhood on, but this doesn´t help much except for note reading ^^ 🎻✨
Thank you so much for this! My child has been practicing this for 8 months and the visual with the audio is perfect!! He gets it everytime now, now trying to master lightly row.🤗❤
Wonderful! Thank you for playing the entire volume! Listening to the attached CD is not as good as watching you playing because, I can hear your sound and watch your bowing. Now I can play with much more appreciation !
I hope I'll be able to play these so well some day. For now, at least you've given me a standard for comparison. A lot of times, I know it doesn't sound right when I play a piece, but I can't figure out exactly what's wrong.
Thank you for all of your videos. I can see that you have put your heart and soul into every Book you have played. Thank you so much! There are many violinists who have played each of the Suzuki books, but I truly prefer your recordings the most!!! Such a beautiful tone! What microphone, and other equipment do you use? Thank you again, and God bless you! 😊
Thank you for your Suzuki videos, I’m working my way through the volumes. I watch your individual segments repeatedly to understand the bowing techniques and to get a grasp of the rhythm for each of the songs. This has been extremely useful. Could you please tell me about your the shoulder rest? I’m in search for a comfortable, well fitting one and yours seems like it would work for me. Thank you!
Thanks for this video and beautiful playing. 76 year old violin beginner here. I'm cramming for my lesson tomorrow! Question: #10 in my Suzuki book has staccato markings but you've played it legato. Is it important to follow the markings in the Suzuki book? Thanks.
What's the tempo for perpetual motion? I searched a lot but couldn't really find an answer, I saw a website that says its 80 BPM, saw another website that says 100 BPM, you play it slowly, others play it quickly so idk, ty for reading.
It is nice that you dont use too much vibrato here. As vibrato is not introduced in volume1. And proving that u can sound nice even without vibrato.
Finally I found this comment. I'm beginner too, it was surprised me that he played minuet with vibrato.

I think you made a great decision at the age of 66! Really cool!
I hope my video was helpful 😊

this video really helps. I'm currently studying Suzuki Book 1.
I was never good at the instrument, lacked the patience, attention span and discipline. But hearing this brings back so many memories.
