My dad loved Jackie Gleason. Jackie's programs featured bars and drinking - remember Joe the Bartender? We watched the Jackie Gleason Show all through the '60s. My father's life revolved around alcohol. He was a commando in WWII, captured by the Germans at a raid on the coast of France two years before D-Day, spent the second half of the war as a POW. He suffered from extreme PTSD, and his alcoholism killed him at age 55 in 1973 when I was 15. When I hear Terry talk about Jackie sipping from a big cup of vodka while filming, it doesn't surprise me, it fits with that generation of men. But it saddens me also.

It was a genuine affection between two great men. Burt as he said many times should have married Sally Field.
Hooper was a no-stop FUN action movie also starring the great Brian Keith and Jan Michael Vincent.

Loved Mr Bradshaw in Cannonball Run with Mel Tillis, cracks me up no matter how many times I hear Mr Tillis singing " I can't see sh*t can you?" just before their car goes into the pool.

What a great story. Despite being such a huge star in his hay day, Burt Reynolds seemed like a real down to earth
    compassionate guy.

I grew up loving Terry and Burt - I always thought if we ever met we'd be buddies - I did meet Terry at a Quarter Horse Show in Columbus Ohio - I didn't know he played football - I had seen him on Ralph Emery - he thought that was funny ! I was 7 or 8 yrs old around 1976 or 77 and I remember it like it was yesterday - I've been a fan ever since

Terry Bradshaw did not say no to Jackie Gleason when he asked Terry if he wanted some vodka… I went to the Fox Sports Grill when it first opened in So. California and Terry was there. He was so drunk it took two people to carry him arm in arm to the limo and place him inside. 😂😂😂😂😂

You know what, I think a lot could be said about Burt's, laugh it off, demeanor. Probably needs to se said. There's something about laughing stuff off that feels like the seeds of forgiveness.

This is the first time Bradshaw really looks odd...something must have gone down since I last saw his mug this close up - aside from the usual ongoing toll we see exacted by the relentless ravages of age, that is.
