All this is the same as my 1.6tdi 63 plate beetle. Reassuring for me really as I service that myself but my daughter has just bought the 2.0tdi Scirocco so I’m going to be able to service that too. Great video, thanks 👍
Really good video, very informative and I actually didn’t know about the Morris oil selection website thing even though I use Morris oil for about 7 different tractors 😂. I think Mann is actually the supplier that VW use for all their main filters, they just repackage it.
Cheers mate. Yeah I didn't know for a while that they had that look up page... Morris is quiet good oil. Never failed me. Yeah that's why I've started buying Mann stuff because it's the same thing haha... It's like Pagid brakes. A lot of dealers use it
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne Awsome! Will be tuning in! Have the same car, up in Norway, 2.0 tdi:) We only got the 140hp modell here in tdi, but im very happy😎 Not too many rocco videos online, so your videos are gold! Liked the video about LED bulbs aswell! You are able to speak in a manner thats easy to understand:) Keep it up, i like all the videos i can to support! You are making a good impact on the world with this😊
Thank you very much! Yeah my one is 140hp as well. Well... its stage 1 now so 185. It's a brilliant car and awesome engine. If you take care of it then it will last forever. I am really glad that you finding my content helpful! I will keep it up 😀 Good luck with your rocco and stay in touch!
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne I’ll stay in touch for sure😎 Chipped mine aswell, got alot more peppy after that! Planning to do some more mods aswell, downpipe, hpfp etc. I see darkside developments have alot of goodies for theese engines! Have not had a single engine related problem other then EGR, so that was removed by software and then blanked off, no issues after that:) Very durable engines, atleast if keep the oil as fresh as possible😎 Looking forward to the upcomming content!
Brilliant 😀 Yep same here. I had my EGR removed and blanked off. Best thing I've ever done. Apart from that it has been spot on! Yeah I will try and make more content soon as well!
Quality video, very informative step by step, thanks. Did you have any leaks from the fuel filter housing after change? I saw that it didn't quite seel properly on the left hand side, looked abit stiff tightening it down to get a good seel
Thank you very much. I appreciate your support. No leaks :) yes I didn't push it down hard enough by hand to start with unfortunately. But then with the screw going in it pushed it down enough and the seal went in properly. They are a bit tight I must say.
Hey alex my tourqe wrench goes feom 30nm to 220nm but i seen the oil filter housing has to be 25 nm can i get away with tightining it 30nm do you think? Many thanks
You cannot prime the the fuel pump by turning the key on this car. You can manually pull fuel through the lines with a pump or large syringe but the preferred option is to use a scan tool that activates the fuel pump. This will keep the HPFP in good order and could save you £££.
I'm pretty sure it's on the newer ones that you have to plug in to activate the priming pump... On this model still done it the old way... That how I managed to prime it... But turning the key for 15 sec 6 times. Started fine with me. Yes there is a manual way of sucking it through the pipes that connect to the filter... But like I said it worked fine with me.
Hello there. Yes it does. It's quiet good product that I've used for 5 or 6 years now. Have tried others as well. I haven't got actually proof that this is the best one out there. But it works quiet well and also same make injector cleaner works very well. It depends on how bad your dpf is. Obviously if it's already fully blocked and in limp mode then that will not help. I always recommend people to give a good run on your vehicle once a month on motorway to clean it up. As on short jorneys exhaust will not get hot enough to clean all the crap out.
Didn't realize it was all so easy, now subscribed to your channel for all things Scirocco.

Yeah 30nm wouldn't be an issue. U usually feel it getting tight and it wouldn't go anymore anyway.

@@AlexTheGrumpyOne fair enough... Normally and VAG after 2009 requires the manual priming or a scan tool... ua-cam.com/video/KDOEnt4NGQs/v-deo.html

Hi, I have a boost leak on my scirocco 2009 tdi, but I can't locate it. Any ideas?
Turbo is on the back of the engine. Find that and then follow the pipes all the way to the intercooler :)
can you tell me what tool you used to avoid the oil filter thanks
Hi there. What do you mean avoid oil filter?
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne I meant… to unscrew and replace the oil filter
Does the Wynns DPF cleaner work? Have you tried any of the other products
