I really appreciate this channel which gives insight of the inner world of SA Amapiano for us outside or who don't speak the language. One thing I'd ask is to put English subtitles or translate to help us to understand even more. You are doing very helpful journalism for us fans, aspiring artists, DJs & producers. We appreciate you. Keep going! Much love from Tanzania

Amapiano is slap in English. Fusion is key in this era, and the Nigerians seems to have mastered that act. 🇳🇬x🇿🇦

He's smart. He's knows the only way and the only people that can help them take Amapiano to the world are the Nigerians. He knows that can't do it on their own, and they would love the world to know and embrace the Amapiano. He didn't come here blabbing, being emotional, senseless egos, senseless pride that other UA-camrs like some Ghaianians that believe they can do it on their own and they need Nigerians. And finally everybody will make big money.

lol...I find this funny when some people compare Naija amapiano to SA's own cause Nigerians will always infuse it with Afrobeats or with a local Nigerian instrument. So the authentic Sound will always belong to South Africa. And I don't understand why South Africans are bashing Nigerians on social media saying Nigerians are tryna claim amapiano..common how's that possible?? If Swae Lee who is an American artist thought it is a Nigerian genre then y'all should correct him that it's from South Africa and stop the social media madness with Nigerians..when Amapiano blew up it was almost across the whole of Africa but when Nigerians jumped on it, it went beyond Africa..in fact most of the first amapiano songs that blew out side Africa in Europe and America are with with a feature with Nigerian artist or infused with Afrobeats before alot of them starts breaking out of Africa..
If I'm being honest I think South Africans should thank Nigerians for using the global influence they have through afrobeats to support south African and pushed the amapiano genre to the world too..
Lastly..SAns show chill cause Nigerians will never abandon Afrobeats after years of investing over a billion dollar net spent to make afrobeats a global genre with lots of afrobeats festivals across the world..then abandon it and be dragging amapiano with South Africans. A baby genre that's growing..it's impossible..
It's just like the way a lot Ghanaians artist are also doing Afrobeats, even some French and American artists are infusing afrobeats on their songs ..Nigerians are not bothered because these artists are helping them spread the afrobeats genre to more audience just the way South Africans are UK artists are helping America spread their Hip-hop genre to more audience.✌✌

Google Kpanlogo music and learn where Afrobeats came from .Nigeria ony gave it a name they are not originators of any mainstream sound from Africa but the sad thing is they will steal from you then disrespect you at the end. Amapiano belongs to SA, today's Afrobeats sound was originated Ghana's kpanlogo songs.

Ai ai maphorisa we don't need to travel bra we building our own thing right in african soil and we gonna own and gatekeep it if we can. That's what Americans did with HipHop. Come on bra. Why are you being a hypocrite? Did America gate keep Rap and Hip-hop? Have they ever complain about your rappers doing Rap? Lucky Dube and many South Africans artists do Reggae music. Have Jamaicans one day complained about your people doing Reggae music? I think the problem is that some you black South Africans are just too timid and myopic. A south African artist will never have a sold concert in the Western World with this type uncivilized attitude you people have towards life, in general. If the Nigerians stop doing Amapiano tomorrow, that would be the end and death of Amapiano. It will become another Kwaeto. Trust me this will happen soon. There is a new Nigeria sound in the works in Nigeria right now. Nigerians are the ones promoting Amapiano outside of Africa. They gonna move on to another sound soon.

I don't think amapiano in English is a great idea, it will only lose it's identity in as much as the artists want to spread it to the world they should first cater to the South African audience they also promoted amapiano through their dance challenges etc. Take kpop for example, it's growing very fast and people are now learning Korean and the economy is even booming with music only.

I think what he’s trying to say is fusion…not totally English but that fusion will definitely be a great link to communicate and reach wider diaspora market….I think there are so many elements to preserve culture and is not totally speaking your language…..🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬❤️❤️❤️

But Amapiano is authentically South African. You should own it. Why are they not being famous with their own music. It shows that Amapiano has taken the world by storm and they are copying. Amapiano is nice when sung in South African languages. They love your languages. They prefer you sing in vehicular languages.
