I'm 32 and been doing THIS since I started at age 11: Since I only could afford a max of 2 pair of shoes at a time, and they usually were from the discount bunch, I always had a pair that I just walked around with until the other pair got busted by skateboarding. I then skated with the walked-in pair and got new to walk in and so on. They're still like new when you skate them but they have been properly formed around your feet.
I recently got éS Mélange and Accel Slim, they are great out of the box except for the squeaking sound when walking. Takes a 100 steps or so and it's gone.

Aye Tom appreciate you trying to do something new, sorry it didn’t work out. Weird that in your city, some of the skateparks are fenced off, the skateparks in my city have curfews but never no fence around it or anything. Any content you upload is well worth a watch regardless of whichever skatepark you goto. You’re the man Tom, keep it up!

Must try to do all these tips the next new setup I get. Skating all new things is always so satisfying 🤩. Do you do anything to break in new trucks and wheels Tom? Loved watching you skate on the livestream at Tampa. You were so close to landing your runs yet what stood out to me was just your style amongst the rest. So so good. Have fun in Miami with the team 😀 Make a video of what you pack on your skate trips and all the behind the scenes too. As always thank you for supporting my beats appreciate you so much .🙏

Of course you finally make it too falls and a) it's closed b) I'm not there
Security at falls usually waits till 11 to open but they're less strict on puddles and usually have a squeegee broom to clean the ramps. Early weekdays it's dead, 2-6 is usually the same local sesh, weekends it's near unskateable with the scooter kids and Mohawk helmets.

Not gonna lie. I did not expect that for a first kickflip. Super boost. It is crazy though. Back to your flip in videos. Yes pop helps but learning to almost use whatever flip trick your tryin as your ollie. Finding that comfort. Its almost like a delay. Instead of ollie in more pressure quick you pop wait a sec and catch it.

Es accel black and gums with red inside are the best looking skate shoe in my opinion, but the breathable sides get ripped so fast. I use the whole side of my shoes. Not just the sueuede front and the heel. That's why I skate marana michelins. If they made accel slims without the breatheable sides, it would become my new go to shoe.

I thing a reallized after skating a vx deck is that it starts out pretty steep on the nose and tail but after like 20-30 sessions it gets a bit mellower. After it mellows out a bit it is like perfect for my tast, however i can imaging that can play a role in the difference in the timing you was talking about.
