Chris Cole's back 3 down Love was the first major trick that was spoiled by the internet
flip phone angle was nasty
Tom Asta that dude!! Loving his new content
Wait kelly used to buy mystery boards when he was riding for expedition and put stickers on them? lol
Damn that’s crazy haha
I always loved mystery !!!
Yeah he mentioned it before
It's hilarious
A lot of skaters do that🤣
My friend was a Element rider and he buys Antihero boards and put element stickers on the board🤣
Happens all the time. I know a a guy who was on thunder for 6 years and never skated their trucks lol.
Those Mystery days were the best
Such an iconic spot. If you've never seen this mini documentary on Love Park you should check it out

Why isn't there a skateboard hof? Where boards and other items can be placed on display. Skaters have a history as well as any other sports players
I find stuff like that so cool. Looking at that board it wasn't just any board it was special because something nuts had been done on it. I've got a few old decks of mine that I have kept just because of what I have done on them makes them special to me. Each skateboard holds a lot of different stories and adventures.
I used to hope they'd have Phelps on someday and ask him about that Choppy Omega thing. I doubt that would come up, though. Still wonder what that's all about. Choppy Omega really was super gnarly. I watched some of his old stuff a while back and he was definitely doing bigger stuff than most at that time.
Phelps would have totally known too
@@shootymcstabbyface About the Love Gap ollie, yes, he totally would. But I was talking about Choppy Omega getting banned from Thrasher. I wonder if that kind of extended to other dudes from his crew, because I don't remember ever seeing Kale Sandridge in Thrasher, but maybe I did and am just tripping. I know I read some interviews with him in magazines, somewhere, and they were some of the gnarliest interviews. Kale Sandridge is one of my favorite skaters, even though I've never skated a pool in my life and totally suck at vert.
It's just fun to say from some original contest or something...ending up a classic quote
I skate if it’s 95 or 5 outside. I don’t care. But jumping down the Love fountain in 7 degrees is madness
Cole and Tom are so good! Super cool guys
Jimmy Carling hardflip was nuts as well. LOVE PARK was a dream spot for me back in the days. Its a shame it doesnt exist anymore
Dude I was able to skate it twice when I was like 8. It was dreamlike how good it was. I saw Brian wenning attempt the sw back 180 in the white tee then everyone got kicked out. Insane
@@MC_1993 That is so cool! you are a lucky guy my man.
@@baronvoncalvo6982 i have footage of it too. My bro is currently getting the tapes converted to dvd. The second time I went They did the xgames across the street at city hall. Ricky oyola and Getz were there. I’m gonna upload it as soon as I get it. I remember I was pumped to Ollie the 3 stair. A sunny morning at love park in 2001. Nothing like it
@@MC_1993 Is there an actual recording of the contest? The official ESPN vid is all interviews with only like 90 seconds of skating.
LOVE
