@@pelinpolat5067 Hi Pelin, I stopped doing it for now but you can visit the website above and try my exercises that I normally prescribe to my patients :)
Thank you, this by far is light years ahead of others explaining this in depth and repeating the concepts until you really understand the mechanics of it all.
Excellent video. I have been trying to release the muscles around the IT band for a long while. I believe your exercises are more effective as they get to the root of the matter. I did feel soreness as I was doing the exercises but it felt good to finally target the right location. I do home it works to relieve the on and off lateral knee pain I get. Thanks again. Excellent teaching.
Thanks so much, I will practise by your advices. I have very long sitting past behind me, around 8 years I sat in school and at home I played pc video games all days long. Now I changed my lifestyle but I'm seeing how many defects the sitting hours has beed made on myself. I'm reavealing it step by step and after some kilometers I'd run I revealed that my form is very bad in knees so due this video I discovered the main problem. Soooooo much shortened TFL. Everything makes sence now, thanks a lot for this video.
Thank you so much for this video! Finally, someone that can explain why I have hip, thigh & IT band pain. I keep thinking I'm going to have to have hip replacement surgery, but my doctor says I'm not bone on bone, so surgery is probably jumping the gun. I'm definitely going to concentrate on the TFL, VL and Glut Max and use the exercises you recommend.
Wow i also watched how many videos this has been the clearest explanation. So the workouts need to be on the glutes right ??? My physio has told me lying clamshell exercises with a band above the knees
Thank you for sharing this information! This is probably the most helpful IT band video I have come across. I appreciate your expertise and hope it will help resolve my issues and help me run more comfortably.
This is very helpful…currently I am running with this problem and would need some assistance to get this addressed appropriately…can you please help me 😊
wow wonderfully explained. Everything makes more sense when you explain all other relevant factors that contribute to the pain. I'll be working on some of these things. Thanks!
lo voy a intentar, en mi caso del lado izquierdo tengo cadera en resorte,( left hip i have snap hip?) you have any idea ? gracias saludos desde argentina!
So funny and informative thank you so very much!! watching your video confirms my suspicion on my leg problem. I notice though that my problem leg is shorter than my normal leg (length discrepancy) not the other way around as mentioned on this and other videos.
Do you do these exercises on both sides? My left side is my painful side so when i try to put pressure on my that side I can lift my right leg from The pain! 😢
Hello, I lateral collateral ligament(I think) hurts when I am sitting and I have my left ankle resting on my right knees. I’ve been trying to figure out why it hurts so much. I assumed that maybe I have a tight tibialis anterior and I’ve been giving it a deep tissue but nothing seems to help. The pain is at or just slightly above my Fibula. I don’t believe it’s a tear since I haven’t did anything to it recently and I’ve had this pain for about 11 years now. Any advice?
here is the foremost question on this "syndrome" for all who think they are "qualified" to treat it...what happens to the body when you go PAST this condition (itband syndrome)??? Any takers out there in youtube land? Look to reading Ida Rolf's book (Rolfing) to truly understand my question. Thank you
Just 1 day of doing these exercises and I'm already feeling the back of my glutes activate when walking. It's honestly crazy how weak my glue med/max are on my bad leg compared to my good leg. My glute muscles on my bad leg are going through crazy spasms and "good" pain while performing this exercise. The glutes on my good leg, not even the slightest pain. Strong as a bull. I've fallen into this habitual loop of doing all these glute exercises with no lasting results. The pain in the front of the hip always came back. Now I can't stop doing this exercise, like I'm actually looking forward to this type of pain because I know with every contraction my muscle is getting stronger and its a matter of time before the pain dissipates. Thanks so much for providing clarity on this pesky problem. It saved my life.
I am trying to figure out why I get tight/spasm/shock/aching...watching IT/PSOAS/SI/Piriforms/sciatica....etc etc...And Found this great video. It helped a lot🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽✍️✍️✍️
After months of watching 1000’s of videos on UA-cam I finally have received real education! Thank you! It’s sad that I had to waste so much time watching “influencer” videos before finding this. “Stop foam Rolling! Pain here do this!. Stop doing this!”
Hi, thank you for your videos, they give a lot of information. The video talks of glute weakness and tightness causing the knee to collapse inwards as being a cause of hip pain. I seem to have had the opposite. I noticed while doing squats that my right knee was being pulled outwards at the bottom of the squat. The following day I started with severe hip pain that also spread down the outside of my leg towards my knee. I would be very grateful if you have any advice as to what may have caused this.
Thank you this fixed my pain I thought I was domed after 3 weeks of sever pain and nothing relief it just a little with Ibuprofen 800 mg not a good med bad on your liver again thank you
My IT Band has been "on fire" for weeks now. I have finally gotten it under control with proper exercise. I have been a cyclist for decades. First time I have had to deal with this.
