No. Those are just stick on letters that kind of give your 15-17 that newer look!!! They were on the truck when I bought it but I think they can be found on eBay
So I did the exact thing you did except I already have a factory camera and rear sensor but the sync 3 doesn’t recognize the rear camera also the old cable for the 4inch screen did you just leave it unplug or there’s a port to plug it in. Any help would be helpful if any of you guys have same issue

So when you bought the kit did you have to pay the extra $400 to get the one with the ford nav? Or were you able to get the cheaper one since you got the canopener?

Not a fan of the Tesla style huge screen Chinese crap options. I could have used a dash kit and went completely aftermarket, but I honestly love the OEM sync 3 features and lay out.

I am doing the same upgrade and I already have an aftermarket camera. Is there any reason why you didn't tap the camera off the backup lights for power? And how does the Sync unit know the car is in reverse if it's always powered?
The apim knows the vehicle is in reverse because it gets a canbus message that it's in reverse and switches the display. The reason the camera is wired the way it is, is so you can turn it on while driving to watch a trailer or something. There is a button press on the steering wheel controls that turns it on with the canopener system, but I never use it and you could get away with just using the backup lights feed.
@jack did your rear parking sensor work in your new sync 3 thinking doing the same since mine has the 4 inch screen but not sure how it would recognize the backup sensor
I replaced my CRV head unit after watching your video on it. Since the Joying people know you well can you talk them to creating a kit for the 2015+ F150? They a have a unit for the previous generation but not for the 2015+ ones. I will be the first one in line to have my truck as test vehicle
I agree. I would have been a buyer as well, hence why I went with the OEM sync 3 system instead. It has some advantages and disadvantages to what joying would offer. I will mention it to them. It would work in super duty trucks as well most likely so there is definitely a market for them.

For me I won’t be doing heavy towing or hauling a boat just light duty towing normal stuff like Home Depot etc I just want more power. I have a 1999 Ford Expedition so I’m used to the power of a V8 don’t care about gas I’m already use to it.

It just requires a different climate control module. I don't have the desire to have auto climate control unfortunately.

No you have to pay extra for the OEM navigation. The CANopener doesn't do anything except allow the nav input while in motion.

@@mightymike_1 New aftermarket speakers will really help. Besides that, adding add on external amps will really wake up the factory system.

What version/update sync3 are you running in order to have that blue user interface?
Pretty much anything over version 3 has that interface.

I would normally agree with you but I really like this system in my truck. Thought I would be different for once and try out an OEM solution.
