This worked for me. My kid got tangled up and head phones yanked out the jack. Followed this vid and now working again. Not sure fir how long but we are back to sound for now.
Dude you are a life saver. Accidentally dropped my controller with the headphones in a while back and have had audio issues ever since. Was using a tissue to kinda prop the port up which was also annoying to do, but this was so easy and worked after just a few little taps, so glad I found this
I don't know but I am facing this issue where whatever headset I connect to the ps5 controller, the noise only comes out of the left side of the headphones.

I can plug in my headset to the controller and I can hear the static stuff in my headset but the playstation dosnt recognize that the headphones are even connected. Is that an audio jack issue or something with the console?
Just fixed mines, I keep playing with it and monitoring where it works than I just put a small styrofoam in the hole and plugged it in and it works now

I have a very expensive custom controller and my kid accidentally step on it after that I couldn't hear anything from the headset. I thought I would have to spend more money repairing it but I found this video and use a gunsmith punch hit it lightly like he said on the video and nothing. I was like whatever, I'm going to hit it a bit harder this time, boom there was sound, but it was muffled. I hit it again but this time I moved the punch around and hit it. It worked! Normal sound like nothing happen. Give it a try what do you have to lose.

The music and game audio has certain parts making noise and other parts of the audio are quiet. An example of this is when I listen to music and the beat and background of the music I can hear but the actual lyrics are quiet. When I press the PS home button it sounds different and EXTREMELY MUFFLED. Please reply if you know a solution to this.

that is a grounding issue.. invest in a usb to 3.5mm adapter.
