- ELS 503 (SD40-2) passed East Kingsford, MI heading north late Tuesday afternoon as I was sleeping, recovering from my 48 hour trip to Iowa and back.. It's a short one!

Intense trips tend to drain one and sometimes the first couple days sheer excitement adrenaline and being with friends keeps you rolling. But putting your head back on your own pillow brings out the intense rest division. Thanks for the video now fluff your pillow and get some more ZZZs

Jason - if you venture back down to Iowa (home State of John Wayne!), a great place for trains is Fort Wayne. Stay at the Kingsley Inn - you will not be disappointed! As well as the trains, there is the Mississippi River, with the double-deck swing bridge (rail on lower deck, highway on upper deck) and all the river traffic (barges, tourist boats). Also, it's only an hour or so to Galesburg, Illinois - another great railfanning location.
