He posted a pic on Twitter showing he's already collected all 900 seeds, plus completed all the shrines. Think the biggest challenge would be filling the Hyrule Compendium
The Hyrule Compendium can be completed by buying each picture for 100rupees... Not a challenge at all... Finding all the minibosses for the medals, upgrading the armors to the max and completing every side quest might take a while but it's not as much work as finding the korok seeds.
Something that I've noticed after playing this game for years and years and years, is that sly is actually the least helpful character to play as. Sly does have some helpful tactics of stealth and pickpocketing, but once you get to episode 5 and have the hover pack and turnbuckle launch, sly doesn't have the advantage of movement as much. Bentley has his sleep darts to pretty much guarantee a one hit KO on enemies, and Murray can fight entire hordes of enemies with nothing but his fists. This happens even further in Sly 3 when Bentley and Murray can both pickpocket, leaving Sly with only his climbing skills and movement. When you first start using Bentley he is pretty hard to figure out (one of the reasons that I used to always take awhile to beat Ep 3) but once you understand his controls you almost can't die while using him. He has countless bombs that one hit enemies and the health extractor to heal himself anytime you get damaged. The hack missions are also some of the really fun segments of the game that primarily use Bentley to do. The boss fights that use sly are also normally harder to pull off than the ones with other characters. While the heists themselves use all the characters, the boss fights normally (some cases not) do limit to only one character. Dimitri and contessa (mostly Contessa) are definitely harder then some of the bosses that require the other characters. Some of the boss fights also use a character, but don't really focus on their own techniques, like the Jean Bison and Clockwork fights. The Neyla fight (in episode 6) is a fun boss to finish off the episode and to show how Bentley can use his RC chopper to take down bigger targets. The Rajan fight with Murray is also pretty easy with readable easily patterns and some ways to make it so he can't even attack you at all. The gadgets are the main area where sly lacks behind greatly. Sly has gadgets mostly focused on luring and stealth while the others have way more helpful combat gadgets. The shrinking attack and snooze bombs are easy ways for Bentley to take down enemies and the fire attacks that Murray has allow him to absolutely destroy most enemies. The main thing that sly is helpful for (and a lot of the time required for) is collecting all the bottles on each stage. Gadgets like the Paraglide and silent obliteration help you easily reach and secure areas that you might not be able to get to (Atleast not easily) with the other characters. And then you have Episode 8, which kicks your butt no matter what character you use, although normally Murray is best just simply because the guards pretty much always spot you anyway, so may aswell be able to fight them.
I agree! Bentley and Murray DO get much better later on. I especially love when Bentley has his wheelchair and ALL of his jump moves. And It's just fun throwing bombs or using the crossbow. Murray's big jump is unlocked pretty early on, thankfully. Anyways, glad to see some other voices and opinions on the game! Thanks!

+Odd Gaming let me guess, (uses all cerebral power and the internet/youtube comment section) SPYRO 3. He probably is going to hate it for the same reason he hated spyro 3, sadly.
He's stated on a few occasions that MGS1 has been one of his overall worst experiences for the show throughout its many year run due to how infuriating he found Big Boss ranking was. I'm pretty sure he is in absolutely no rush at all to do it again.
Cionyl - And yet he played games like Skyrim all the Dark Souls games, Sonic 06, Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric, and Ride to Hell Retribution. If he could tolerate those games, I think he can manage Metal Gear Solid 2.
As the first game I ever owned, on my first gaming system ever, and as my favorite game of all time, seeing Jirard show this game the love it deserves makes me happy beyond words. I've been playing this game since its release, and even though I'm not the wide-eyed little kid I was back then, I'm glad to say that my enjoyment of this game is one thing I haven't outgrown.
I miss these days so much. You was actually driven to finish games back then and had a blast doing so. Nowadays its 'DLC' this and 'Deluxe version that'.
Jirard, the way you feel about completing this game (a relaxing, carefree, enjoyable break from dark/hardcore) is how I feel about your videos. Keep up the great work!
Sly 2 was one of the first games that I've owned, and my first Sly game. To see it being reviewed by one of my favorite reviewers is really cool. Thank you, Jirard!
It's about damn time. Ever since played the hidden demo of this game on Rachet and Clank: Going Commando I always wanted to see what was beyond what gameplay I had. I will never forget the phrase: "Smokey alert, freak out!" Ever. Thanks for completing this game Jirard. Means alot to me.
I've logged more hours into the sly series than any other game or series in my 24 years of gaming. This will always be the world's best game series, I'll always have a gamegasm every playthrough. Take my heart sly-sama!
Oh, awesome, I was planning on playing Sly 2 soon, now I can just live vicariously through your review and put it off a few months! I can't say I agree with Sly's voice being lifeless, though, I personally love the delivery in this game. It's far above Sly 1's for me, no comparison!
"Why didn't he take the parts when he first beat Clockwerk?" Well for one, they were inside of a active volcano, then Carmelita was right there ready to take him in, and I think those are more than enough reason to not take them right there and then.
I enjoyed Sly 2 ever since I discovered the demo in Ratchet and Clank 3, and it became my favorite of the series. Glad you got to this one and am glad you enjoyed it.
I am glad to see you finally get tot his one, oh Bearded One. I knew you'd enjoy it and I'm glad you saved it until now. With so many hard and demanding games? The Sly Series is a breather. Just the right amount of challenge.
I'm a little salty that this just got uploaded, and it already has 50X the amount of views my review of this game got, I mean, it's one of my favorite games of all time
TGX Game Reviews I know what you mean ;o; believe me... This is the completionist though, it's different from a review and more people want to watch it.. Oh yeah, and he's (UA-cam) famous, that too. ;p
I love seeing videogame reviewers tackling game series and becoming immersed in something they up until now hadn't given much thought. Especially when it's a series that I've been a fan of since the very beginning. I loved the comparison you made between Sly Cooper and Darkwing Duck! I'm genuinely surprised I haven't made the connection before. At the surface, both are seemingly silly kids entertainment starring talking animals. But once you get into either franchise, you uncover a web of surprising depth and characterization, which doesn't shy away from mature themes without losing that light-hearted cartoon charm. The thing is, Darkwing Duck is my all-time favorite cartoon and was pretty much my first superhero. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, similarly, was my first video game. With each installment, Sly has cemented itself as my all-time favorite gaming series. True, there's no such thing as perfection, but I've enjoyed every main series game, even Sly 4. And with Darkwing Duck set to return for guest appearances in the new Ducktales (Do I smell a reboot?) and Sly potentially getting a cartoon series (which I'm hoping will eventually lead to more game installments), I don't see any reason to ever lose my love for either franchise. If anything, I'm proud and slightly tearful to see things that I enjoyed as a kid live on, proving that these characters have potential to stick around for a long time. Sorry for getting sentimental, you inspired me!
4:43 into the video for you to actually talk about the game and not go off on tangents about cookies ans stuff? I'm sorry man but alot of your reviews you go off topic super fast I can answer your question about the clockworth parts, because they were in a freaking volcano, not something their group was equip for, they literally stated that they were content witn letting them rest there becase they thought no one would go there. They aren't mugffins they're dangerous pieces of a immortal murder machine. Also sly's a theif of course he'll steal, why do we need to "forgive" his actions when -we- you have played games like last of us and god of war and never questioned their morals I don't get it. you said you played the games but you forgot some crutial things, 1. the parts were at the bottom of a volcano, if your argument is why didn't they get them mine is how did the klaw gang know they were there? How did they get them? If your argument is do we forgive him for stealing mine is. He's stealing from guards of crimials I don't see the problem espeically when they stated the cooper gang steal only from other theives and no evidence otherwise has been proven. And again I feel like I could enjoy your reviews, alot of your points I agree with, I just wish you'd stay on topic, you kinda random go off on jokes that have nothing to do with the subject material and go on too long. (Don't get me wrong I enjoy a good joke; I watch the nostalgia critic but usually their jokes tie into the review but that woman at the end joke it was kinda purposless. Anyway I did enjoy that someone decided to review sly.
THANK YOU for playing this game. This is my #1 game of all time. I probably played this game more than any other game I own combined. It's just so fun to play! Pickpocketing, stealth, platforming... after my first playthrough, I would replay the game without selling loot in ThiftNet. Come back to me when you have pickpocketed 130 Ruby's. And that's just when I stopped to check my item count for the first time. ...and I was 10. I don't have that much time now lol
THANK YOU JIRAD you put this game out to eyes who might not have seen this I loved Sly and grew up playing the second one didn't play the first until I was a teenager and I love these games
Hoo, boy! Now this is where it's at! I love this game, I didn't even ask for you to do this game, but I'm immensely happy to see it covered. It's such a unique game in comparison to the first. Like where as the first game could pretty much be directly compared to Crash Bandicoot, Sly 2 provides such a unique experience by focusing on the thieving elements, but still keeping what made Sly 1 so fun.
I never had the patience and the ability to stay focused on a game to complete it until I first started watching this channel 2 years ago. Thank you completionist for making me a fellow completeionist
Also if I win the switch for my kids we all decided to take turns trying to complete it lol. My kids are better at Zelda than me. Makes me a proud papa
I am glad you found "Me Time" in a video game. When I played it I found stuff that Sly couldn't do but others could. And vise versa for the other characters. I just got use to each character and how they played. The third game but I got it for the 3D Red/Blue glasses aspect.
I actually love the horrible mouth and facial animations. Maybe it's my nostalgia talking, but I think it adds a bit of charm.
Hex Entertainment I think it brings more humor and personality and I don't even see what's so wrong with these animations. Besides, the face animations look just like a cartoon

SPYRO 3. He probably is going to hate it for the same reason he hated spyro 3, sadly.
i can’t believe you dislike the voice acting for Sly, I feel like Kevin Miller was perfect for it. Great vid as always
YES!! Your finally reviewing my fave game of all time. WOOH!!
I even completed a gam ebefore Jirard did.
Life officially complete.
This is one of my favorite games. I have so many memories from playing it as a kid. Thank you so much for covering it, Jirard!
We all still waiting for that Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty review.
Omnicidal Clown 0_0 oh dear god that's an hour and a half long special!
Omnicidal Clown yeees! And then MGS3 and Peace Walker!
ygsr And why not all the other Metal Gear games..... like MGS4?
Now to wait for Sly 3 which IMO is better than 2 cause of the fact that I can replay missions and Murry and Bentley can actually pickpocket in 3
EddyBinxEB You can replay levels in 2.
I just love these games so much. Replaying every game 100% and they all still held up as good as I remember.
When Brett screams at you to get Cookies and Pie you get Cookies and Pie
14:06 - 14:25
It's interesting you mentioned that considering that subject is very much discussed in Sly 3!
while you're doing PS2 then please for the love of beards play Okami. you won't regret it and if you do then I will complete a game for you
Sam Reddig Gaming Good idea
One of the best games of all time, if you ask me.
Or Viewtiful Joe.
Tanner Hankins Or God Hand, The Tree Gems of Clover studios/capcom studio 4
My favorite game ever.
I miss these days so much. You was actually driven to finish games back then and had a blast doing so. Nowadays its 'DLC' this and 'Deluxe version that'.
Left Right Left Right R1 Left
remember this special cheat code?
no
DeftestAphid2 no. What does it do?
Is that the Jump pack? That's the jump pack right?
I used that cheat so many times, I really wish the jump pack would have come back.
absolutely one of my favorite jump & runs of all time. This game feels so nice when I was a kid. I still love everything about this game.
*EVERYBODY GETCHA GODDAMN COOKIES AND PIE!!*
Jirard, the way you feel about completing this game (a relaxing, carefree, enjoyable break from dark/hardcore) is how I feel about your videos. Keep up the great work!
They still had better facial animations than "Mass Effect: Andromeda"
When someone copy’s you’re comment and gets more likes. My condolences
I love in the first sly game video that you loved the pimp cane so much and that a fan gave you one
cookies and pie, hell yeah.
Sly 2 was one of the first games that I've owned, and my first Sly game. To see it being reviewed by one of my favorite reviewers is really cool. Thank you, Jirard!
complete it, calling it now. haven't finished the episode yet
CALLED IT
It's about damn time. Ever since played the hidden demo of this game on Rachet and Clank: Going Commando I always wanted to see what was beyond what gameplay I had. I will never forget the phrase: "Smokey alert, freak out!" Ever. Thanks for completing this game Jirard. Means alot to me.
Sly 2 is easily the best Playstation first party game ever
I've logged more hours into the sly series than any other game or series in my 24 years of gaming. This will always be the world's best game series, I'll always have a gamegasm every playthrough. Take my heart sly-sama!
4:34 "COOKIES AND PIE!" 😂
I also have no idea what you’re talking about referring to Sly’s voice. His voice is my favorite.
COOKIES AND PIE!!!!
This game is one of my absolute favorites and is hands down in my top 3 of replayability for life
Dear god I need sly 5 before my brain dissolves 🥲
Oh, awesome, I was planning on playing Sly 2 soon, now I can just live vicariously through your review and put it off a few months!
I can't say I agree with Sly's voice being lifeless, though, I personally love the delivery in this game. It's far above Sly 1's for me, no comparison!
4 minutes ago and 24 comments. None of y'all've seen the full thing yet lol.
Neither you lol.
Soloz Zerker That is correct. 7 minutes in now :P
4 comments too many
"Why didn't he take the parts when he first beat Clockwerk?"
Well for one, they were inside of a active volcano, then Carmelita was right there ready to take him in, and I think those are more than enough reason to not take them right there and then.
Stealing is bad, mmmkay?
But stealing in games is fine.
What sly taught me the only ones that deserve to be stolen from are the ones who didn't deserve their fortune in the 1st place
4:34 Brett kills it once again with the humor.
I enjoyed Sly 2 ever since I discovered the demo in Ratchet and Clank 3, and it became my favorite of the series. Glad you got to this one and am glad you enjoyed it.
Please do a persona or shin megami tensei game!
I'm sorry man but alot of your reviews you go off topic super fast
I can answer your question about the clockworth parts, because they were in a freaking volcano, not something their group was equip for, they literally stated that they were content witn letting them rest there becase they thought no one would go there.
A DARKWING REFERENCE IN 2017??? HUZZAH!! Take the subscription!
I love this game so much. It was one of the very first games I completed myself. Glad to see Jirard's finally getting his hands on it!
is it just me, or was anyone else terrified by the contessa's area when we were younger?
Can I just say that Bentley looks cute in the thumbnail? I kinda wanna pet his face...
murry is the darkwing duck of the cooper gang WAIT! I CAN SEE IT! the dark hippo returns
TBH after rewatching some of your first episodes then this one.. You guys have came a long way! Keep up the awesome work!
I love the way that this game series handles mature subjects like gangsters and drug dealers and makes it kid friendly.
Your Intro has been getting more and more satisfying as the Seasons go on
oh my god i love it
I love it whenever Animals are part of youtube skits. They have absolutely no idea what's going on and just doing their thing. And that's hilarious.
I freaking love Brett. He’s so much fun to watch and listen to.
I like when you include the interns. Brings variety also helps you throw things around till they stick keep it up.
Such a fantastic game! Sly cooper games are pretty great across the board. Good to see him finish the best of the series.
The voiceover in Portuguese was insanely crazy charismatic, especially Slys voice
This is one of my favorite games of all time, I loved going through all the other ones as well
I never had the patience and the ability to stay focused on a game to complete it until I first started watching this channel 2 years ago. Thank you completionist for making me a fellow completeionist
Also if I win the switch for my kids we all decided to take turns trying to complete it lol. My kids are better at Zelda than me. Makes me a proud papa
Nostalgia +100. Also Dimitri's tune is an absolute banger!
I am glad you found "Me Time" in a video game. When I played it I found stuff that Sly couldn't do but others could. And vise versa for the other characters. I just got use to each character and how they played. The third game but I got it for the 3D Red/Blue glasses aspect.
