I do not often disagree with you Ben, but the scale of Lambor and Bee in car mode in your video, looks pretty good to me.
Lamborghini Countach: 4140 mm, VW Beetle: 4080 mm. In real life they should be the same lenght, but the Beetle is far taller... So a real Beetle looks bigger than a Countach. Of course the Lambo is wider, but that's all. But if you're not a scale nut it's not that important. On the other side, in alt mode this BB is far too big for MPP10, so I guess it's something in between of Tanaka e Weijang, scale wise... and it kind of works with both.
Feniks Phoenix nope. They are completely off. The original beetle is actually closer to size to a Countach. So comparing this to a Masterpiece Sideswipe is accurate
He works good even with MP-10V. I was really happy to get one because the quality of kim is just top notch. Cost like peanuts but rock solid like a hand crafted item. This whole oversize thing is just amazing. Oversized WJ Arcee looks fantastic and now him.
Just got mine. Love it... I had no problem with his staff fitting into his hand, but damn, I can't even push his gun in all the way. Not a big deal though. Way better than the original MP version.
Cool, I'm getting this guy tomorrow. I was waiting for him a long time and I hope it was worth it. Looks just amazing. Well, I considered these manufacturers as "4th party", not a KO. I already own KBB MP-10V and this dude is just fantastic. Works even better in scale with standard size Autobots or even some oversized figures like WJ oversized Arcee.
I received this figure last week and i really like it. No paint errors or whatever. I love the oversize version over the original
This bumblebee vs MP takara bee... which one do you prefer?
This is an interesting figure. I would personally remove the passenger side mirror, as it is not accurate to the car (I drive a yellow beetle of similar age, and it only has the driver's side mirror), but that is just me. I do not have MPP-10, but he looks like he would make a great display piece all my himself.
I want this more than the real one. It's just a great size for display.
For anyone wondering, this guy's alt mode is roughly 1/24 scale, which puts him in scale with the Binaltech/Alternators line. Tanaka's Lambor is 1/18 scale for alt mode which puts him in scale with... nothing, he's just a huge fellow. I'm no sure about the scale for MPP10, he may be a little smaller than 1/24th in alt mode, but probably close.
MPP10 is close to 1:28, it scales quite well with regular MP Lambos, Datsuns, Wheeljack etc...
just got this BB, man the quality is superb! so worth more than I paid for. hopefully more oversized G1 to come
i think this is a better version of bumblebee than the official hasbro one in terms of scale wise.
This is an awesome figure for the price. Displays great with mpp10.

Hey does kbb sell have replacement parts? like if a figure has a hand with thumb, index and the other three fingers in one whole chunk, do they sell hand upgrades with individual fingers?

WOW1 Just got this figure this week and he is amazing looking for a KO. Love the fact that he looks like a good representation of the cartoon design. Love it!
I just Googled the dimensions of both cars. The Beetle was 161 inches long. The Countach was 163 inches long. So their car modes should look the same length.
And then let their transformed robot modes be however tall they need to be in order to maintain that vehicle scale.
How does he scale in car mode next o regular MP Wheeljack? In the Herbie films there is a shot of them ogether and they look around the same length.

What's the height in bot mode? Did you do a comparison with a non-ko MP car guy?
Like I've said many times you and maybe one other person out of all the people/channels trying to do the same thing are my go to people to help me decide on these kind of purchases. I already have this figure, your review is spot on like always. I wish they would've upscaled it slightly less so he would be closer to the mp cars in bot mode instead of something to scale with mpp10. Anyway thanks for another great review.

How does it scale with normal MP cars? Is it around 1:30 or much larger? A real life VW Beetle is 4066 mm long and 1544 mm wide.

Awesome review. Should had been named GoldBee(aka GoldBug) for the KO name with its face mask. Was wondering if u tried to attack the thruster pack to the MPP10 as it was used in the G1 cartoons.

Interesting. He looks like a G2 Constructicon for being so orange!! Ignoring the flaws, he seems more like a nicer display piece than puny MP21 (who's like Deluxe sized anyway) or the normal size MP21 KO. And it doesn't surprise me that it matches well with MPP10...I guess an undersized MP21 would have to be about Legends size (unfortunately).
UPDATE 2019May22: Speaking of which, have you heard about the new Bumblebee they came out with? MCS02 "Hornets Agent". Apparently, it's a slightly oversized KO of NewAge "Flipper". Not sure why that's a thing, the NewAge one seems pretty fine as a Minibot type, and I don't think that Bumblebee is supposed to be up to Optimus Prime's crotch. (Scale charts indicate that Bee, Cliffjumper, Windcharger, & Gears come just above Prime's knees, so yeah, this is a little too large...this is more in line with Brawn/Outback, Beachcomber, Seaspray, Powerglide, & Huffer/Pipes...)

i think this bumble bee is scaled to mpp10. the lambo is pretty out of scale with mpp10
I wanted a bigger MP21 Bumblebee but this one appears to be an Over Sized version of the Over Sized.

The Cultural China review of this figure mentions certain screws inside the chest which need to be loosened to facilitate stowing away the hood flap.

The Tanaka Lambor is too big. If it were 1 inch smaller in robot mode, I think the alt scale would have been better.
Too bad they removed Daniel/Spike in the powersuit from this one.

terrible! they changed few things but they didn't changed 2 worst things about original MP-21. Fixed fingers and hollow forearm. with figure that size thats just terrible!
