Joe and Duncan, are literally like shrooms and acid having a conversation. they both have bit different yet highly complimenting perspectives on the psychedelic experience. I think another important function of VR will be using it as a form of therapy by working through traumatic events and recreating childhood (and even infantile) experiences. Have you seen on "Shameless" how Joan Cusack uses VR for practicing walking through the grocery store because she is agoraphobic? Pretty cool stuff. I am studying to be a counselor, and if this technology gets to that point in my practice, I will be using it and possibly trying to combine it with EMDR techniques for my clients. Exciting stuff!
Exactly its so easy to hide away from your fears which in turn builds on them, this really does seem like it will be a useful stepping stone to get people experiencing whatever sort of damage to move back towards a more peaceful existence.

+DiscoBalls69 That can already be done. It will feel liberating for disabled people yet it will be even more addictive than modern video gaming I imagine, which is not 100 percent a good thing
Hey Duncan I'm a long time listener, friend and fellow youtuber into technology. Get a logitech c930e webcam for your third camera for overhead shots, it's got a 90 fov which will be much wider then your 2 c920 webcams you currently have. They are much better for closeups! You also need a dedicated system not a laptop as it lacks the cpu power to not drop frames from the live feed. Use your VR computer system (For it's gpu which I assume is a 970 or 980ti) with OBS VCE (Free download) and either the AMD or NVIDIA encoder. This will make your video super smooth. You must also turn off all automatic camera settings as they greatly drop the frame rate of your broadcast as the camera adjusts itself. Manual everything! With logitechs sensor lighting is also important for frame rates. I can help you setup everything and make the show even greater! Contact me anytime I have no life.

Can't believe I sat through this whole video drawing the playboy logo on acid , y'all are very woken. I couldn't click off the video because every word that came out of Duncans mouth was honestly and positively entertaining and eye opening.
Everytime I use my Samsung Gear VR it runs this VR Simulation that is indistinguishable from reality where it repeatedly overheats my phone and then shuts down over and over due to the overheating. It's truly remarkable how realistic it feels.
Duncan talking about holding podcasts in VR and other things remind me a lot of Psycho Pass. Don't think he'd get into the show but the way it presents the evolution of social uses of technology seem spot on.
I'm so excited, is Duncan streaming going to be a thing? Was pretty hype for this shit since Joe mentioned trying VR for the first time on DTFH a few days ago :D

I like the grittiness of the cam. All online videos look the same but this has a cool different vibe please keep it for a while at least.
