If you have watched the documentary Blackfish, there is a scene where two orcas actually made long distance calls. It was mother orcas trying to call out to their babies who had been taken to another aquarium. It's depressing but the call is very interesing to hear.
The vocals they use for that whale in Blackfish aren't long range calls, and aren't even noises that an orca is capable of making. They were created on a computer, and the whale they use in the video who is 'calling for her baby' was not a mother orca at the time. There is no video of Kasatka using 'long range vocals.'
