Really Interesting. I'm looking for some real world examples of really nicely shot remote interview recordings. They don't have to be live podcasts, but remote interviews that show what can be done beyond Zoom recording. Do you have some examples to show how good the quality and direction can be for this format ?
Your'e welcome! We would recommend recording in landscape, this way if you'd like to create different aspect ratio clips, like vertical video for UA-cam Short, both your framed videos will match!
This is a fantastic video for a host, is there an existing video in this level of detail for the guest between 3 to 5 minutes? if not could you record one - I am sure every Riverside customer would want to share it with their guests?
@@Riversidefm thank you - in this video you are addressing the host, rather than the guest - I am curious if there is a video addressing the guest about their experience commencing with receiving the studio link?
Thank you for all the great input! 🙏 Are there any plans to support more browsers as chrome and edge? That would be a reason to switch to Riverside. Thanks!
Good evening. I love this video. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. I am going to play around with Riverside FM until I master it. I’m also interested in this AI video that you were talking about. I would love to watch that that ability is something that I need for what I’m going to be producing in the near future. That would help me out so much.especially when it comes to applying. The subtitles are should say captions in different languages. That’s what I would like to do is to take the same video and have it reproduced if that’s what it does with captions that are in different languages. I hope this makes sense.
I'm trialling this now. Mostly my testing is going well, but I'm finding that certain features are locked away in 'Business Plan' and aren't accessible even in the 'Pro' version. My issue with Riverside is that the 'Business Plan' level doesn't have a fixed and advertised price plan, instead users are invited to get into a discussion with sales people at Riverside to find out how much Business Plan will cost. I've not heard an actual quote back yet, but I suspect this could be very pricey ... who knows ? I'd much rather that the features/pricing for Riverside was more up front and transparent.
@@Riversidefm hi, I've got the 'pro' version, but ... 1: Can't view and check interviewees in full 16x9 'full view' just a narrower ratio, so can't monitor and compose the frame properly. 'Full View' is a 'business'' setting. 2: Can't remotely change and check interviewees camera and microphone remotely. Apparently this is a "business" setting. 3: in any version I can't set the recording mic level for my interviewees remotely. There is a mic slider, but this doesn't affect the audio recording level that is saved. So this doesn't seem to be possible in any version. I want to be able to record some interviews remotely and to be able to check and fix any tech issues remotely during the session so that the interviewees can concentrate on their stories and not need to fiddle about too much with technical issues. I shouldn't need to ask interviewees to check the right microphone input is being used or to stop and find their audio/microphone level settings outside of Riverside. These are things I was surprised to not find in Riverside "pro: subscription level. I hope this feedback helps.
I have experienced issues with guest saying they can hear themselves double everytime they joined which forced me to use zoom TRASH. Is there a fix or workaround for this, we even used echo cancellation etc.
What audio interface are you using? If it's a Rodecaster Pro or similar, you may need to get into the Rode connect app and choose the mix-minus setting. If it's another interface, let me know and I'll share some instructions!
We would recommend an audio interface into Riverside, but you will need to records the in-person mics separately to have those individual audio files. The cameras can all go into a BlackMagic ATEM switcher and then Riverside will use that as the "video source". Here is info on recording with in-person and remote guests in Riverside: ua-cam.com/video/FdkcLfm14O4/v-deo.htmlsi=AqYAMNGHJD2lq8E9 and on using a video switcher here: ua-cam.com/video/9VaGdfQP-u0/v-deo.htmlsi=DwNEtRXBmyEaMrAw
It depends on whether they restart the computer, or the browser empties its cache. Encourage them to visit: riverside.fm/upload as soon as possible to retrieve the rest of the recording.
This was great. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!

The Vergecast uses Riverside to record remote guests, you can see their podcast here! ua-cam.com/video/NdkwcYIj6oU/v-deo.htmlsi=wwpkhb4VVqjTEpw7
Hi Mr Beard thank you for the tips - can you share info on the lighting setup and camera you used on this video?
You're welcome! And here's an in-depth look at my setup: ua-cam.com/video/Wgeg_TnndnY/v-deo.htmlsi=nduiALAvB-lOgatY
Thank you for this video. Does it matter or not if the host and / or guest record their video in landscape mode vs vertical?

We get it! And at the moment we don't offer that kind of translation feature, but will let the team know that's a feature request!
One thing I didn't see, does Riverside offer backgrounds?
We offer virtual backgrounds on our mobile app and Mac app, you can download that here: riverside.fm/mac-app

thanks a tonn !!
You're welcome!
Great content!
Appreciate it!
So how do you edit out duplicate words, or words such as "um", "you know", etc. ? Can you add an intro/outro?
We have a tool launching VERY soon for those filler words, and yes, you're able to add an intro and outro right now!
I have experienced issues with guest saying they can hear themselves double everytime they joined which forced me to use zoom TRASH. Is there a fix or workaround for this, we even used echo cancellation etc.

I am having this problem with my rodecaster. My guest said, I have a echo. It also shows on our joint screen we keep loosing connection.
I’ve got 3 guests live, how do I connect the different cameras and Mike’s two Riverside?
Mic’s or Mike’s

Any plans for exporting a time line for Final Cut Pro in addition to adobe premier?
Stay tuned!
What if we want to do an all cellphone podcast
You can use the Riverside app on several mobile devices for that! I explain here: ua-cam.com/video/SK1sygqMkR8/v-deo.htmlsi=cmu2g7unawvyVBf6
If my guest leaves before recording is fully uploaded, will it definitely be able to be rescued?
It depends on whether they restart the computer, or the browser empties its cache. Encourage them to visit: riverside.fm/upload as soon as possible to retrieve the rest of the recording.
Wish I saw this video before the interview 😢
Can you help me with doing a recording with a host in the same room and we interview someone remotely?
I had a lot of feedback when we tried to do this the other day.
That requires a little more setup, I explain here: ua-cam.com/video/FdkcLfm14O4/v-deo.htmlsi=Ir4snL_aokFUeAa7
I am a little confused. You say several times it is best to use headphones but you aren't using headphones. ???
He’s not recording a remote podcast.
@@AlexEdfort I assume he is using the platform to record this. Am I correct?
I actually film these videos locally on camera, so I was not using the platform to record myself in this video.
im gunna sell this as a service and make a 100m offer like hormozi
