Already got Slivers (LOVE IT, not my friends lol), and Anikthea which I'll receive this week (so hyped about this one I already got my upgrades for it). Now i'm hesitating to get Eldrazi, looks fun and impressive for casual plays, and considering I opened Ulamog Ceaseless hunger (alter art foil) in one of the sample booster, I already have a very good upgrade ^^. Thanks again for your video, it'll help me make a decision fo sure. Good day !
Where does it state you must use a "Wastes" land to cast Zhulodok, or any other colorless Commander? Should be any form of colorless mana, regardless of source, as long as it's colorless. IE - you can cast them with any form of colorless mana, as in any type of land that is colorless, basic/legendary etc etc, does not have to be a waste. Thanks!
Good question. The only sticky point is the symbol. Basically in magic you have to match symbol to symbol so the 5 colorless mana can be paid with any color but the diamond symbol must be paid with a land that produces that symbol, which are wastes.
@@TapThatMTG yeah, so I think the confusion is that colorless mama does infact mean the same thing as the diamond symbol on Waste basic lands. You don't literally have to use only basic lands that are called "Wastes". Example: Urza's Mine produces colorless mana, it originally never had the diamond symbol on the card, and just said "colorless". Now it is printed with the diamond Mana symbol. But that doesn't mean that lands/artfiacts without the diamond mana symbol can't be used to cast Zhulodok or other colorless commander's, it just means that the card producing mana must produce colorless mana. IE - if I only had Mana rocks that create colorless mana without the literal diamond symbol, that is entirely fine because they are creating colorless mana, I could entirely cast Zhulodok with those mama rocks, I don't need to tap a land with a diamond mana symbol in it.
Yes for sure, but it will still have to match symbol to symbol. There are definitely other non basic lands that produce colorless and use that symbol. If your talking basic lands then you'd have to use a waste. You're absolutely correct! that the "colorless" number means any color of mana so we wanted to be sure that people understood it's not the same and in this deck there were wastes provided. We definitely should have clarified that though! thanks!@@realitychecktime101
@@TapThatMTG no problem, I was mainly curious if there was a new rule passed recently that said that you cant use colorless mana from any source to pay for spells that simply have the new colorless diamond symbol.

Isn’t Emrakal the Aeons Torn banned from commander?
