  • I finally took the step into buying a JDM Mitsubishi Pajero. Mine is a 1995 2.8 4M40 Diesel powered Pajero Exceed LWB. I realize I didn't go into depth about the whole buying experience with Japanese Classics and I realize that there are tons of questions when it comes to wanting to own one of these in the US and I will be doing a followup video(s) explaining the whole experience from the fears and concerns (insurance, parts availability, legal stuff, RHD etc etc) I had prior to actually biting the bullet and doing it. This vehicle is used in New Jersey.

    The left gauge in that center cluster is an Altimeter so it won't move around too much until you start climbing up mountains or something. The windshield heater you were referring to is just a small heating strip at the bottom of the windshield that helps unfreeze your wipers if they're frozen in place, it could also power the side mirror heaters if your Pajero has them. Fellow Pajero owner here, got mine through Japanese Classics as well. Cheers!

    Just purchased a 93 model in Philippines and love it. Growing up in the 90s this was my dream ride until now . This generational pajero look has lifetime durability if it’s taken care with TLC. No other SUV brands other imo has edged this unicorn. I would also get another one too and turn into slight modified pajero project. Great blog!

    Living in the Amazonas this is the car I drive, however,
    1994 Turbo Diesel Intercooler 2.8, 4 x 4.
    The car is in excellent condition inside out after close to 30 years, besides it is a 7 seater.

    Im glad you had a positive experience at Japanese Classics, I was looking at a LC Prado at Duncans in VA to buy, it had a bad center differential, they knew about it but tried to sell it to me anyway. They didnt want me to drive it on the main road but i did anyway, If i hadnt i wouldnt have discovered it, plus they wanted top dollar for it LOL

    Going through this now. All my cars flooded during Ida been holding out on buying a daily since the used market is nuts so I started looking at imports and fell in love with the older SUV’s… unfortunately I’d have to finance one. Sweet vid since I’m from NJ as well

    Did it take long to adjust to driving on the right side of the car?

    • @RocketPunchArmy
      @RocketPunchArmy 3 роки тому +1

      Not at all. You do tend to pull to the left as your body is uaed to being mkre left but after a while you adjust. Biggeat adjustment is blinkers lol

    Looks clean! How does it ride on the highway? Any idea on a MPG?

    • @yousafzaiaa7453
      @yousafzaiaa7453 3 роки тому

      7 to 9 KM/L (17 to 21 mpg US) - very comfortable on highways indeed being a 4 x4 jeep; it has adjustable suspension (Hard , Medium and Soft Modes). If you are looking for fuel economy on highways (in two wheel drive mode) just keep RPM under 2200-2300; you will do 100Km/Hr plus with 2300 RPM in overdrive mode. Do not run with 3000 plus RPM for extended time as this thing is not made for speeding. Basically this is hardcore off-road vehicle but at the same time very comfortable on highways.

    • @RocketPunchArmy
      @RocketPunchArmy 3 роки тому +1

      Its real comfy on highway, very smooth. Only slightly rumbly at idle. I get about 17-21 as previous response mentions. Im using an app to calculate mileage so its pretty accurate.
