Continue guide from 19:31 after clearing all of caelid and the castle on the edge. Or else if altus is accessed before clearing everything in caelid then the redmane festival would be triggered which locks all the mini-bosses, sub-bosses, etc in the castle. And activates the portal to fight radahn. Activation of ranni's quest also triggers the festival btw.

You should nagakiba build it's really helpful
The dragon communion seal does not scale bleed whatsoever. It would seem the faith seal would be effective for. Bloodflame blade is not compatible with the dragon communion seal
You are absolutely right I have used both Dragon Communion seal and Finger seal while Dragon Communion seal was Max and Finger seal Zero and both worked the same.

My friends said I should wait to upgrade my nagakiba till I can get RoB but after this I think I might just go all in on the nagakiba. Such a cool katana. My first fromsoft game but it was still pretty easy to follow.
I hear so many mixed opinions about of RoB is good anymore or not from my experience i would use the Naga
When you get to the River of Blood, it's best to use seppuku ash of war both katana better than RoB...

Nagakiba is not a must, you can simply wield your current Uchigatana. (Uchigatan has better Scaling than Nagakiba while Nagakiba has longer range/reach)
And it is even possible to dual wield 2 Blood Uchigatana in early game.
=> Choose Samurai Class => pick up another Uchigatana in Deathtouched Catacombs (Limgrave) => Pick up a random Lost ash of war (can be found in Limgrave) to duplicate the Ash Of War Bloody Slash.

If ur doing a faith nagakiba build you can get creative with different incantations and armaments. Red lightning is the most op.

My biggest question as a newer Eldenring player is how can I get a 2nd weapon such as 2 claws,2 rivers od blood,etc. Im playing on Playstation if that matters & dont know how to get anyone to join me as im a 42 yr old gamer & have zero friends to help me especially on a few select bosses Rykard is one I just cant seem to beat! There are 3 ways.
First, you can get duplicate in your next journey.
Second, find someone to fair trade with you.
Third (this one is good if you want duplicate early game weapon, like uchigatana, nagakiba, bloodhound fang, and etc., but you need friend) you can make new character slot and obtain that weapon, then transfer it to your friend, and then your friend give it back to your main character.

Are you completing this right at the start of the game? Or are you leveling up a few times before you go for the dragon communion seal? I'm like 15 runs in on this starting area and don't have enough time to aggro the first guy, before I'm two shot by ghosts.
If you're having trouble, you can skip it for now, go ahead and buy the finger seal and level up with it, then come back here and get this dragon community seal
Travelling whole map just for a starter build will make your game unfun . Best enjoyable builds are those which you make while exploring and you will automatically stumble upon stuff that will make you more powerful .
Its a different story if its not your first playthrough, but if its your first don’t do these things, it will ruin your experience.

RoB scales best with arcane and it’s been nerfed to the ground, that said it’s still totally viable to use it. Bloodflame blade scales better with faith, so you can’t really switch the two out at will without respec from dex/faith to dex/arc. Nagakiba with spinning or double slash and bfblade will give you better dps than rob will

You need to have some story progression in order to get to the area of where the rivers of blood is. But my tip to fight the story boss is to find the guide on UA-cam about the Bloodhound step. Look for a video to cheese the boss for the Bloodhound step, and use that with the samurai class and you have a better way to Dodge the main story bosses instead of worrying about panic rolling. And make sure to ruin farm so you can level up your FP and HP because the HP will help a lot early and the Bloodhound step costs a little HP with every use. And I know this question was directed towards the guy that made the video. But feel free to ask any more questions I'll be happy to answer them for you

The blood flame blade incantation scales with arcane which is what he uses to coat his sword with, and it also builds up hemorrhage meter faster for more bleed damage, pretty obvious tbf

bloodhound is still good, and you can always get more somber stones pretty easily, can search online the easiest ones, most you can get in the first hour of the game

Early on concentrate on vigor and whatever stat your weapon scales the best on. Vigor(survivability), weapon main stat(damage).

i'm not to sure about this as i'm fairly new but in mine, i can use it for incantations in my sword. Basically it is used to apply effects like the flame looking thing and boosts the effect i think
According to me, you should use finger seals because I don't see any difference between the two.

Bro Im just new in the games like last week is my 1st time to play. Whats the Dragon Communion seal for? And why did you upgrade it to +9 and yet your not using dragon incantations.
The unique scaling curve of this seal also gives it unique softcaps compared to other seals; it soft caps at 45 Arcane and 30 Faith and doesn't have another cap again at 80 like other seals. Since it scales better to Arcane than Faith, one should bring Arcane to 45, then Faith to 30 and then maximize stat investment to first 99 Arcane, then Faith to get the overall best damage out of it. Note however, this will bring the character way above PvP meta levels, so 45 Arcane/30 Faith is the most reasonable investment for level 120-150 builds, not considering any other Arcane scaling weapons the player might use alongside this seal, which might have soft caps at different levels of investment.

Arcane will NOT affect bleed buildup if a weapon does not have arcane scaling. An uchigatana or a bandit knife can cause bleed, but they do not scale with arcane natively, so arcane will therefore have zero effect. so why do you level up arc. please reply
@nokepop_pl8981 for this I would recommend either bleed infusion to make it scale or add occult since some bosses are immune to bleed. Occult adds arc scaling to the weapon itself so it'll boost physical damage with arcane

Search for other mines or Beat the Game, in the endgame you can Upgrade for runes everything to +9/+24

U dont need to Upgrade the Seal, i test my Self with a +10 Seal and with a +0 Seal and you don't notice any difference.

Probably level seals is useful just for direct damage spell (of the draconic cult), and not for support spells.
While I've used both Finger seal and Dragon Community seal, I haven't noticed much of a difference

To get more health, you have to level up Vigor. That affects your HP. You want to try to get it to 40-50 at least after that it doesn’t level up much because of the soft cap. That goes for all of your stats if I’m not mistaken

Do not use the Dragon Communion Seal. The Bloodflame Blade scales with Faith, not Arcane. Use the Finger Seal or the Godslayer's Seal instead.

Having the same problem it isn’t working for me
Try changing the blade affinity to keen or It on or anything without a status effect it can be don't through black smith
you can equip your Seal to your left on D-Pad and your weapon or sword to your right. Also, make sure to equip the Bloodflame Blade on top. Now press L1/LB/RMB to apply the incantation to your weapon

I wouldn't put any affinity on it that way you can apply the blood flame incan later
your comment says 7 days ago but romina's says 8? is my youtube broken or something? anyways put keen you can apply bloodflame blade on top of it and it gives you that extra dex scaling which you need.
