We simulate a randomly drawn Tournament between all the RIVALS in Master Duel! I did give some of the older decks (Kaiba, Chazz, Zane, ETC.) a few of their newer support. I wanted to keep it anime faithful but also make it a bit more balanced. Hope you all enjoy!

As far as I'm concerned Chazz is the people's champion for beating Revolver in the first round
I can picture everyone doing his chant even tho he lost to Zane as he gets off the arena
@@mr.magpie2 I was chanting it in my head.
Dang, spoiled at the beginning with this being the first comment shown right below the video
@@robertm5110 Watch the video first bro
@@mr.magpie2 yeah I did but the first comment still showed before I could make it full screen
CHAZZ IT UP, CHAZZ IT UP, CHAZZ IT UUUUUUP
SHOW NO MERCY!!!!
SAY IT AGAIN
Chazz beating Revolver is the least surprising thing ive ever seen.
Ive always believed in my goat.
Chazz out here beating revolver that's insane I never thourght I'd see the day
At 5:52 Jack definetely had some plays. He can summon Red Wyveren with Red Resonator or even into Red Supernova Dragon! (if its in the deck). I feel like the AI/the player wasnt experienced with Jacks Deck. Jack Atlas would have never made such a mistake!
Kaiba and Shark were both nerfed as well
Exactly. special crimson using eff, normal summon power breaker, synchro red rising, bring back crimson and the duel belongs to the King
Red Rising wasn't in the Deck, 100%
And in that case, there are no Synchros he can go into, the only 6 is Wyvern discounting Blue Sirius from the manga
AI majorly butchered Jack in that duel. Regardless if he had Supernova or not. Easy Jack dub ruined.
@@rafuruuchiha He doesn't have red rising since Jack never used it in the anime
Kaito/Kite vs Ryo/Zane as well as Reiji vs Jack would have been awesome to see in Arc V.
Agreed
CHAZZ IT UP
Expecting a revolver or reiji win but expect this to be closer than the prior two overall
Edit: honestly shocked at the early revolver exit. Maybe a best of 3 format would allow a better chance for the decks to shine? Kinda feels unfair to discount characters based on bricking when most of these decks are built for the slower anime style than the blitz style of real life turns
It's kite
@@Diamondr11Blue I mean he was the biggest example in this video for sure but there were some in the prior two. Plus best of three does make it more accurately deck vs deck as opposed to who gets the luckier draw (which I get is part of winning in yugioh when you don't have absurdly optimised meta decks)
Anime Shark, Kite and Kaiba are all op with their anime effects
@@alanchamberlain9902 Honestly, if this was the anime - Shark would win hands down, due to his ability to generate a whatever god-like top deck he needs into existence (or just top deck The Seventh One and go into 101).
@@jaernihiltheus7817 Exactly my point anime Shark would be a big threat, anime Kaiba too Chaos End, Obelisk, Shining, Soul Exchange, Doom Virus Dragon, Heavy Storm, Card of Demise etc.
I wasn't surprised Reiji won since Serina is his big sister 😂
They had a connection/history together in Arc V.
Lmao when does Declan have a sister
@@raphaelwilkes97 lmao it's a reference if you played her duel links event ✨
Next time, there can be simulation Duel between the Yu-Gi-Oh villains and best friend characters. With the best friend characters, that tournament can have Joey Wheeler, Soulburner, and Jesse Anderson and Syrus Trusdale can represent the GX era. Arc-V can have Gong, 5Ds representative can be Crow. Considering the villain lineup, Ai could represent Vrains since Lightning's Armatos Legio deck hasn't been printed yet, and his role in the final season of Vrains. Since 5ds have a lot of villain deck, the ones that stand out for me are Rex Goodwin's Inca deck and Kalin's handless combo deck.
I want to see the tomato guy from Zexal be in one of these tournaments. Maybe plant based characters or most hated deck theme.
Still can’t believe Revolvers deck bricked like that. (His was the last I expected to loose.)
Feels like plot armor was in play here somehow.
Kaiba bricked as well, and Shark bricked v Reiji
Rokkets can't brick, hell he opened boot sector (like he needed that with the existence of striker dragon)
The problem was he never summoned good rokkets, the AI saw "BIG NUMBER" and nothing else.
@@anotherjason Yeah no Borreload or Borrelsword, he didn’t even draw Mirror Force.
@@alanchamberlain9902Or Magic Cylinder for that matter.
12:49 did we really expect anything else? It’s all according to plan
villains tournement and I'm rooting for dan thousand
Lmao I’ll go for Zone or Don thousand
Now the time for best friends tournament with Joey, Syrus, Crow, Bronk, Gongenzaka, Soulburner, Kusanagi and Hasselberry or Jessy Anderson
I mean Jessie Anderson
But please if you adding new cards to not turn Joey deck into Nightshround deck
Make one of the random two Sylvio please
@@Kurtraxal
Sylvio ist not a best friend. He more like low level rival or anti hero
lol soulburner wins all that easily
All we really need now are the Best Friends and Villians. Kite was easily my favourite for this tournament but Reiji was easily my 2nd. I can’t wait for strongest characters from each show - I wonder if Dylan’s opinions have changed since he made those videos.
Shark I mean Nash >>>> Seto Kaiba I can sleep in peace.
But rip Revolver.
Shark/Kaiba were both nerfed in this the deck building is awful.
The winner was determined the moment this tournament stared 🤣🤣🤣
It would help if Dylan built proper decks
Surpised Aster/Edo Phoenix with his destiny heroes wasn't the 2nd GX pick for this one, but hey Chazz it up.
Still putting in for the Partner Spirit tournament where it's Atem, Yubel, Astral, Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, and Ai. Last slot can be a toss up between Supreme King or Zarc or a 5Ds character that came closest to that role (Bruno/Antimony maybe?)
Well he already had Atem in the protagonist tournament
True (Same with Yuto), but they didn't have updated decks like Kaiba, Chazz, and Zane did in this tournament
I have to wonder about the decklist being used in these duels cause only now i realized this is not 100% deck accurate to the anime characters, but the Archtypes with some character flavor cards piloted by bad Ai(s). Saying this since I am betting on several questionable decisions on deck building for some characters over others.
Spoilers Below for this and previous Ultimate Tournament videos:
I guess one can make arguement of added cards (some really good) for people that never shown 40 cards in the anime (like Celina never having Lunalight Fuson, neither Zane with the modern Cyberdark support), and to some extent fine with that, but I have to wonder the degree for each. If you are going mix all archetypes Chazz used in a deck and also give him modern Armed Dragon support and mix Jack Atlas 5ds with ARC-V cards; might as well give Aoi a Trickstar/Marincess mixed deck with post anime Marincess cards, instead of giving only Trickstar and then giving her both Pot of Avarice and Jar of Avarice due to lacking cards; or give Kaiba a more Blue Eyes build with his better spell/trap cards from the anime for better consistency).
Honestly, either these needed to be best of three to try to compesate for bricking and bad Ai manaegement, and / or even use something like with YGOpro with anime cards. I am kind hesitant to mention the usage of real people since it could take from the magic of the people dueling being the actual characters minus plot armor (then again, it would more likely result in the 2nd half of series characters dominating, especially the with meta decks, unless they brick, or are being played by duelists that either are bad or didn't learned how to use the deck; even if this would be more accurate in several cases).
I appreciate the effort being done here to make these videos, dont't get me wrong; but I don't like the optimization process done in this and doesn't feel close to the characters duelings compared to other series like this (though, this is still better than a lot of scripted Accurate Anime duels).
Special mention to poor Atem and Rio: the former couldn't even summon anything and the latter suffered from poor mismanagement by not using any of her two Back Up Rider on Blizzard Falco.
IT'S FINALLY HERE!
HYPE HYPE HYPE!!
reiji is my goat so im hoping he wins🤞
What you need to do next, is take all the winners from these tournaments, and put them against each other, to see who is the Ultimate Yugioh Duelist ever
I mean after he does main villains what else is there?
There are best friends, then maybe all mentors, then all villains-turned-ally, he'll figure something out im sure XD
@@Pikaman20008 all girl :)
The matches were awesome and the final round was my favourite. Reiji did an amazing job and he deserved to win. Maybe the best friend characters could be next
Would have been really nice to see chazz also use ladd like he did int he manga
And a lot ppl said in the protagonist tournament video the latest series are a bunch of powercrept and the older one couldn't win 🤦♂️
Hei, gread video, loved it! I wanted to ask, how do you simulate games in this game?
Let’s go, ARC-V has won
I really want all these decks at full power in archetype, or characters that have a mix deck should have engines for both. I just feel like that would be so much more fun to watch. fun tournament though great watch
Sad to see that Edo wasn't featured on here. I get it that there's a character limit, but I always found him to be more of a rival to Judai than Kaiser ever was.
One thing I'd love to see would be "meta" versions of the character's decks, where they all use the latest support. So we'd see full power Cyber Dragon vs full power D/D/D.
Jack literally had the duel in his last turn right? Am I missing something?
Exactly, The AI could have easily special summoned Crimson Resonator, and then combo'd into Scarlet Red Dragon Archfiend used it's effect to board wipe for game.
I do think instead of Shark and Zane, probably Aster Phoenix and Sylvio would've been better options in terms of being rivals of the show.
for antagonists you could go main antagonist of the series o final bosses. and the other one for the most popular villain
For top strongest, are you doing top strongest living (since quite a few villains and bit antagonistic bit rolls just completely got gone) or top strongest period?
On the bright side, 5D’s and ZEXAL kinda write themselves easily since the respective main casts each have a solid core of good duelists juxtaposed against an interconnected imposing villain roster with very few blanks to fill otherwise. I have zero clue how you’re gonna handle ARC-V though since there’s four dimensions and three of them are well-populated with good duelists, so 16 will be extra rough there.
I knew Reiji was gonna win!! Best friends tournament next
Kaiser over Edo? I'm a Zane fan myself but I feel like Aster was definitely more of a rival
Wasn't Zane the rival for at least 2 seasons? Aster only felt like a rival for 1 if I recall
My vote is Zane truesdale 11:05 because I love the Cyber dragons
Were all the decks updated or just the gx ones? I'd love to see the tournament with all the updated decks 😁
I wonder how u gonna categorize characters like Sawatari, Shun, Sora, Dennis etc. (I assume Gongenzaka's role is like Jounouchi)
Yeah, Gongenzaka's the Jounouchi stand in
Here may be an interesting concept for a quick 3 duel video. How would the potential battle city would have gone without storyline protection of Marik, Kaiba and Joey? With semi-finals being Yugi, Odion, Mai, and Ishizu.
It should be 8000 like in Dsod that way we get to see some juicy a.i. combo for the characters
How'd you make these simulation duels? I can't find that option on master duel
Ah! Finally, someone that calls Reiji by his name!
So next is probably best so
Dm:Joey
Gx:Syrus, Jessie, Hasselberry or Chumley in that order of importance
5ds:Crow since Jack was here
Zexal:Bronk has the same problem as Tori and Kite and Shark are here so I don't know trey?
Arc-v: Gong
Vrains:Soulburner and A.I depending on if you do a main villain tournament.
Great tornument do yugioh villins next
Calling it now. The next segment will be the best friend characters.
What were the decklists for these duels? I'm particularly interested in Varis'/Revolver's deck.
Great series it would be cool if it were also best x of y like 3 out of 5 or so. Just in case of anomolies, or so we can see more cool moves.
Best friend tournament should be next
Do this again with the best possible version of the decks.
What ai are you using? I’d love to do this myself with my decks
That is the correct answer!
Hey Dylan u should make a protagonists Best Friend tournament
What's the name of the simulator you use? I'd love to try this myself and I've tried searching for the simulator, but I've never been able to find it.
Shark being cocky is surprisingly in character, at least in the early anime😆
awesome duels. Could be cool with side characters too but I guess that tournament is too many maybe?
Let's gooooo!! D/D/D best deck!
Man you really need to make tournament between characters from the same show
If you need some inspiration for next Tournaments after Friends and Villains.
Support Characters
- Tristan Duke, Cyrus, leo, Bronk,Gong, Ai
Henchman or Enemys
- Weevil Rex, Camula, Darksigner, Vector, the Gore
Family
-Grandpa Ishizu, Atticus,Luna,Trey,Shay Ghost Gal
and then let the Winners fight eachother
It feels strange to have Zane and Shark on this list. Zane never came off as a rival, he was more of a mentor and after the first season his interaction with Jaden was lacking to consider him as such. As for Shark, i can understand seeing him as a rival a bit more than Zane. But Kite always seemed to be more of Yuma's actual rival, he even has the staple 3000 ATK ace monster that the rivals do, whereas Shark was the actual "best friend" character, like that of Joey, Crow, Soulburner, etc.
Zexal was the weirdest about that kind of thing since Kite was even, very briefly but still, an actual antagonist became a rival, and then became a friend. Yuma still wanted to beat him to prove his growth but Kite never really sought a duel with him after that. Shark was the friend who became an antagonist. And unlike most other protagonists his rival and friend were less interested in proving themselves against him as he was against them.
I suppose that's because unlike all of the other protagonists, even Yuya, Yuma was a lousy duelist at first. Like Yuya was outmatched against Reiji, don't get me wrong, but he was about even with Gongenzaka and its implied his 50/50 win loss rate was because he didn't duel seriously after his dad disappeared.
@@christophermitchell9739 In a way that's something i love about Zexal, the relationship between the 3 of them was tight nit. It felt like the inverse of what Yusei, Crow, and Jack were, they all knew each other as small children, but they went their separate ways as they got older. But in Zexal Yuma has to do his best to try to know about Shark and Kite. Not just because he wants to know them better in order to duel them, but because he wants to save them from themselves, it's just that most of the time that involves dueling.
@darryljack6612 Yeah, it's cool. It was a nice mix-up as the direct follow up to 5Ds. And then Arc-V had Gongenzaka and Yuya nearly brothers from day 1, whereas his relationship with Reiji was full of ups and downs.
Yuma had the most rivals tho, technically u could put anyone between Nash, Kite, Alito and iii if u think abt it.
@@christophermitchell9739 On the subject of ARC V, the dynamic between Reiji and Yuya is something i also really loved. Usually the rivals are so stuck in their ways and general irrational behavior that the protag has to push them out of, Seto denied realities in front of him, Chazz had a chip on his shoulder, and Jack sold out his friends. But Reiji was always rational when it came to a situation, and was the one who had to teach and better Yuya for a lot of his issues and irrational behavior. Reiji was calm, cool collected, neve too rash or tempted to do anything truly bad. Personally my favorite duel involving him and Yuya was against his Leo Akaba, and no matter what happened he had total faith in Yuya.
Movie antagonist?
Gotta get master duel again just to see how to do CPU v cpu
How are the AI vs AI duels done?
Damn I wasn’t expecting revolver to lose that quick I wanted him to face reiji but oh well
THUNDER ⚡!!!
Red resonator -> special summon Power Breaker, synchro summon Red Rising bring back Red Resonator, synchro summon Scarred Red Dragon Archfiend. I think this tournament needs to be redone Dylan. Great concept though.
The one is it called Declan akaba
That exodia tho
How do you do that in master duel?
And once again the Arc V goat wins. Yass to our rival king Reiji!
I like your video how you do it i like to do that it would be awesome to see the ai play some of my decks let me know thanks can't wait until your next video of this
Be cool to re go over the series and bring all the decks into 2024
"Clicks on video, sees no Aster for GX rivals" Yeah, not worth my time.
Yeah it's weird they used zane instead. Like yeah he's a strong opponent Jaden wanted to fight, but he felt more like a goal than a rival who'd clashed with him more evenly
@elementmanexe8389 It feels like so many of these UA-camrs either just hate Aster, want to please the people who don't care for him as a rival, or maybe just don't know how to pilot a good destiny-vision-elemental deck for him. Or if they did include him, they might just purposely make stupid moves to make him lose like I've seen more than once.
Maybe because he lost to Chazz👍
@lordsibiya9351 Chazz is overrated, and that match wasn't even fair since Aster was blackmailed for part of it. The only reason Chazz has so many fanatic fanboys is because of the 4Kids dub. And by your logic, Zane should not be here then since he lost to Aster.
@raina1848 are you going after 4kids dub or my logic? Because 4kids didn't dub Aster's loss to Chazz.
But honestly speaking his character isn't anything special, Aster is forgettable. You could replace Jayden losing to Aster with Chazz and you get the same effect.
Aster isn't allat, even in the manga his character is just there
If you do a "best friend" tournament, I feel like the lineup has to be Jonouchi, Sho, Johan, Crow, whoever it is for Zexal, Gongenzaka, Soulburner and maybe either Sora or Shun to fill the brackets
How do you do this simulator feature in Master Duel?
It's mod i think
And I feel like shark isn't just broke kiba.😂😅
You could do the same but host a few Yugitubers to play a lore accurate deck of the characters for the games to be a bit more interesting. They can spin a wheel to decide who plays what
CHAZZ IT UP! Epic Rival battle
Best Protagonist: Yusaku/Playmaker
Best Girl: Serena
Best Rival: Reiji
I'm more surprised Chazz beat Ryoken. But then again Armed Dragon Thunder monsters are no joke when they go off
Revolver: Nah, I'd win.
Manjoume: Hold my Ojama.
Proceeds to never summon tracer
My biggest upset is Kaito bad performance. Revolver and Kaiba canonically would have said "You're not Ignis/Yami Yugi, I'm not interested in this duel". So this was mostly between Reiji, Jack, Zayne and Shark (Shark tbh may be with Kaiba and Revolver) and Reiji and Zayne are favorites between this contestants, they had the most pain and difficulties in their lifes
Ugh...that hurts! I run a Revolver/Varis deck, but then again, I use some cards he doesn't, and this upsets me! 😢
CHAZZ IT UP! CHAZZ IT UP!
Reiji just has that D/D/D.
Reiji was my pick to win. Revolver's and Kite's deck are cool but can really brick. The A.I made some mistakes with Jack's deck.
Shark loss to kite 😆
Will we do a final boss tournament (one tournament for each season) I guess
Noooooooo Revolver my love, how 😢❤
im pretty sure jack misplayed he could've done something with crimson resonator
I noticed that too
He didn't summon red rising the entire time, mans saw red wyvern with the 2400 and really went "yeah this is good enough"
Also pitch: eventually do this again with real duelists, every duelist is assigned a character and an archetype and then allowed a certain amount of cards (10ish?) outside the archetype to build their deck with then do this tournament again with real skilled duelists
Yeah I agree with many people here saying it really should have been best of 3, Kaito got sacked for bricking
Also for antagonists we could have one for anime antagonists and one for manga ones? Given they tend to vary between anime and manga (although vrains has no manga we can probably fill in the slots with DM manga villains or something)
Manga would be tough because most of their big villains have little to no cards printed. Tragoedia is missing most of his deck, Eh'ra is missing her entire deck besides a Number, whatsherface is missing everything but her anime inspired Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz boss monsters, Yagumo is missing his Rank Up Magic and some of his backrow, etc.
Anime villains' decks are just more complete. They're bigger as well due to playing more onscreen duels.
@jaernihiltheus7817 theoretically for zexal you could have Yagumo and sort of make it spider stuff? For GX it *is* rather tougher, I agree
@@uninspiredname2974 you could, but a lot of his extra deck needs that manga only rank up spell and random spider-related cards would only make his deck terrible.
Arc-V has made it into the finals every single time and has won twice. Arc-V vest yugioh series confirmed.
Thumbnail really lied.......
the chazzzzz
Definently recommend doing all the tournaments over again but with updated decks otherwose old characters will never have a chance
So, the winner of the protagonist vs. the rivial duel now?
Almost every single duel was just who brixks, which ddd doesn't, especially not declans ddd
You need to make the life points 8000 so that duelists have a chance to make a comeback
Did that Jack Atlas deck not have any plays with Crimson resonator plus a level 4? Just weirdness all around.
