I've been following you and your adventures but this video was an eye opener for me. When you stated you wouldn't share the locations well as for me not being from Minnesota do you really think I would want to spend all my vacation time trying to find these places?? I think not.. So much for watching your videos in hopes of being able to see a place and being able to just head there and start enjoying my vacation.... Thanks again for NOTHING but when you've got your own youtube channel I guess you get the feeling your BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE!!!!#
If you watch my videos, you may have seen how badly some of the spots get TRASHED!!! A lot of people watch these types of videos. I'm a tiny channel, but I have close to 2 million views. If I gave away the locations to every spot, some of them would absolutely get trashed. I find these spots on my own. It's not hard, and half the fun of remote camping is finding the spots. Many years back, I used to visit a little known beautiful spot outside of Wall South Dakota. Then, it started showing up on UA-cam channels. Last year, I went back and counted over 100 campers. It will be gated as soon as the trash shows up. I don't want to be the reason for places getting shut down here. I love the outdoors too much to them get trashed by lazy irresponsible people looking for free camping. Like you said, it's my channel. You can start a channel and give way all the locations to every beautiful remote spot you find.
You haven't been watching enough. I'm sure if you weren't an aholes and got ahold of Kenny, he would have told you. We don't want aholes in our woods anyway. Kenny would probably end up picking up your trash
It is not hard to find the area from the video clues, if you apply yourself a little. Kenny, I get your sentiment for showcasing and protecting Minnesota.
O dear ... you know he gives you a ton of information to find these places... he showed you signs which are huge indicators. Then all you have to do is spend a little time on Google earth and you will find them. There's also a couple apps that help you find them to. Part of the fun of boondocking is the adventure of finding these places.
Ahhh a man that loves flowers 🌼 ! Thanks for sharing that man ! When I go on a camping trip I always make sure my trusted camera is ready to go ! Love them flowers 💐🌹 ! 👍✌️ Peace ✌️ !
I noticed that two people gave this video a thumbs down, how could anyone possibly give one of Kenny’s videos a thumbs down? They’re probably is not a more kind person on planet earth than Kenny.
Thanks Richard! I appreciate the comment. Oddly enough, I have two people who must have the notifications to my channel turned on. I always get two thumbs down within the first hour. It's like clock work. It's all good, a little obsessive.....but what ever floats their boat.
That water is so crystal clear. I couldn't even figure out where the water was till u stepped in it. The drone footage up above is outstanding. Such beautiful views.
Hey Kenny - I discovered you a few days ago, and watched all your vids. You do a great job, and have an easygoing delivery. I hope you keep going and stick this out, because the truck camping community will love you when they see you!
That lake is pronounced cah-WISH-ee-we. It’s an entry point into the Boundary Waters. My sons and I (and various friends) have paddled into the wilderness from there at least twice. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you for all the hard work you put into producing them.

Hi Kenny, my family are Rv.ers for about a dozen years now. I'm interested in a TC and specifically an Arctic Fox 811. I'm at home recovering from shoulder surgery. I found you and your adventures. Great job! Thank you.
I love my camper. It's old, a 2004 model, it is comparable to the 811. Hopefully you heal quickly. Good luck with finding your camper, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
@@KennyOfAllTrades hello again. We found a 2016 AR 811 in VT. An older couple has it but there not ready to sell it. It really clean and well cared for. Still working on them.
That's a great year, it's relatively new. But not so new that it will have the issues of poor quality controll seeing how fast companies have been pumping out the campers the last 2.5 years.
I admire your patience and willingness to look for more/better campsites. I would probably have plopped down in the first one you came to. That means I would have made a lousy pioneer. Keep lookin'! (BTW: I saw a video the other day.. a guy had a front receiver-mounted rack similar to yours holding a motorbike, and during a stop he noticed some hairline cracks at the point where the 2" mount was welded to the shelf. A local guy welded the area and added some extra steel for more stability. You might wanna check yours.)
Well done Kenny. New to your channel and on the road FT. Be visiting that area late August thru September. Plowing thru the wet northeast right now. Enjoy your travels and maybe we might cross paths one day.
That's a great time of year to visit. A little secret......November the north shore is a ghost town, not much going on but deer hunting, and has slowed down considerably over the last few years. Lake Superior has huge waves crashig the shores during the early winter storms. It is so beautiful to witness in person. Watching the power of the lake gives me much more respect for mother nature. There is a song called The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald that talks about a ship that was sunk in a November storm. Thanks for watching!!!
That's why I've been watching these videos on UA-cam on the camper truck for the class B four-wheel van life cuz I'm a single person what would be convenient for me and how much off-roading I would do if you have a van how far can you go Boondock in an off-roading like you can with a truck
Kenny the episode Arctic Fox Truck camper/Silverado tour you said you replaced plywood in side shirts of the camper. Do you have a video on how it was done?
You can reach me through the channels email. Kennyofalltradeschannel@gmail.com I replaced the rear wing a few years ago, before I ever dreamed of starting a UA-cam channel. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures.
I cringe when I watch my old videos. I had no clue what I was doing, I was uncomfortable being on camera, and my audio levels were horrible. I'm not gonna delete the first 2 years of videos.....but they are hard for me to watch. As far as that boy...that was a strange experience. I'm sure there's a rational explanation, but it was weird how he disappeared, and we didn't see any adults around. Seeing a young boy walking down the river alone and then approaching us asking if we wanted to see a magic trick will always stick with me.
Just found your channel. So cool and subscribed. How does your truck handle the weight and the front çargo carrier? I am looking to do same for my 1995 Chevy 6.5 truck
It has no issues with the front carrier. I think it is rated for 500 pounds. I picked up the front receiver from E-trailer. I would recommend a front carrier for adding additional space to the setup. The SWR 3500 HD handles the camper great to. I did some upgrades that made for better handling. But nothing that was absolutely required to carry the camper. I have a suspension video showing the upgrades done to the truck. It goes into detail of what I did. Thanks for watching!!
Nope, it's not a secret but there are so many rivers and streams off of highway 61 that we have hiked, I don't want to get it wrong. I went back and looked on the map and I think it might have been near Beaver Bay. I think we stopped and walked up Beaver River from the wayside rest.
@@KennyOfAllTrades I'm looking for a new high top van to do the van life... canada in the summer then when it gets cold up here head down to the southern states for the winter....get my pension next sept....love your videos...thanks
If you bike in the town of Taconite Harbor on the little streets whete the houses once stood, can you park in there for a night or two? I noticed the blacktop for the most part is still there.
It's all owned by the plant. They allow people to walk the old roads. There was an area where people used the overnight, but they don't allow that more. It's now blocked off with huge boulders. I think they were getting fed up with trash being left behind. The boulders went up about 4 years ago.
Kenny and fellow fans...i want to get a truck like yours but a smaller four season camper and tow a Lund 16 foit boat. Thinking Lance 825 or something narrow and not much rear overhang. Any suggestions?
The Lance is a great camper. Also check out the Wolf Creek 840 or 850. They are manufactured by the same company making the Arctic Fox. Cirrus nucamp has the 620, it's made for a heavy half ton. The 825 is larger inside and comparable to the Lance 825 or Wolf Creek 820. The Arctic Fox 865 is a non slide unit so it will save a little weight but still built with the interior quailty that Arctic Fox is known for.
I have put a lot of thought into whether or not I give out the GPS coordinates. I have been boondocking for many years.
