Pablo Mendoza, my father-in-law, was a great man, principled, honest, and full of generosity, kindness, and valor. Sylvia I am sure he is so proud of you for making this video celebrating Puerto Rican culture and Puerto Rican pride. I love all things Puerto Rican and especially the Island's best hija ever! I am also grateful to you because now I know how to spell azabache.

I’ve never known the significance behind the black hand on the baby bracelets I just knew our families would buy the gold bracelets with the black hand or evil eye charm for protection for newborn babies. Thanks for sharing the history.

Well, this was so interesting and the jewelry is fantastic. I have seen the necklaces before, but I never knew the back story. That's really interesting about your Mom and Dad having done 23andme. I was also tested through there and then transferred my results to Gedmatch. That makes it so easy to find matches and admixtures of heritage. I'm tri-racial with European, Native and a little bit of South and sub-Saharan African. My 10% Asian surprised me until I found out it was related to being Native. I find it all so fascinating. I loved hearing a little bit about your culture and customs. I'm so sorry about the loss of your dear Papi. My heart goes out to you because I know how much he meant to you and Conrad. Thank you for sharing, dear friend. I always learn something from your videos and appreciate you so much. ❤❤
