Double hustle: trick a bunch of schools into buying music production gear using your affiliate link, then after they realize they've been scammed and shut down the music rooms offer the dejected children private beatmaking lessons. Chaching!
I live in New Orleans. Club + live music central. Lemme tell ya…you aren’t just walking into a venue and being like “Bro im a live sound engineer trust me” 😂
About the working for a bigger producer thing... It really depends on how far up the chain you're going. Most big producers aren't paying people to do the basic stuff because they have people lining up to do it for free just to have an in or a chance to learn from them.
His no skill list requires some skills. This is false advertising. You can't just walk in off the street and go "hey I'm a bum from the street, can I help set up this concert?"
Regarding how doing food video is hard, it's because so much stuff is all 'golden brown' Salad's can look great until they wilt, but nobody clicks if the title of a video is "I can't believe this salad!" They want to click on some not salad thing that is a pile of golden brown stuff. It's awful.
I get called for work with my local stage hand union (a branch of IATSE) whenever they have big shows they can't manage with their normal team. It's great work, but really sporadic. Great if you have other income streams, plus there's the potential to actually join the union at some point. Always worth contacting your local IATSE and asking if they need any extra "pushers"... not drug dealer pushers, like, actually pushing road cases and setting up stages, etc.
Separate person to connect some cables? Damn. In my country all that shit is for 1 person, EVERYTHING is doing by 1 person even if big clubs. Maybe on events like very big concerts, then yea, but I'm not sure it would be easy to find that kind of work knowing nothing
you can’t just declare yourself an event dj… you absolutely need equipment or will have to rent it… also you have to spend money to advertise otherwise noone knows who tf you are.
no money, no skill == DJing?! Guys, please don't believe him. you will ruin your credibility as any kind of professional if you go trying to DJ just like that.
how to make money with music >> 1st step > LEARN music. if u can't read music or don't know theory and u call urself a musician=lol . go get educated ! its free nowadays
With this school thing, it is perhaps not illegal, but stupid. If you have institutional buyer, you should contact distributor and get commission (like 20%) and not poor ass scraps from affiliate links.
A lot of these are kind of icky. Scamming schools, essentially. Kind of horrible. I also don't think renting a space and then renting it out to third parties is legal in a lot of cases. Like, you have to own something in order to rent it out to others.
8:21 OMG This guy's gonna get so much flak about this! People are gonna be asking, what's his friend's name, and where?🤣 The funny thing is... that sort of behavior happens everywhere you can get away with it. I know people say we're not actually fur-deprived apes, but come on. That's exactly what apes would do!
You have no idea how much work. Time, investment. And business knowledge is required to to be s good wedding DJ. Who takes it seriously, not just a few quick bucks. Being a cut rate youtuber like this guy' with his horrible advice video is easier. Respect to Weaver
Truth. Sure, there are DJ companies that are looking for any warm body to move gear and press play on spotify, but I got a feeling a lot of new couples are getting wise to these DJ farms Plus, he completely ignores PA and lighting overhead costs lol
another option, learn to code and make a plugin that implements some idea you’ve had, or fixes some problem you have, that either isn’t available at all or not for a reasonable price. obviously not for everyone, if you can’t figure out coding
this guys advice is so stupid. Djing weddings takes more skill than djing clubs and festivals. live sound is not just grunt work, you have to know what you are doing, etc etc.

It’s like an modern day version of The Music Man
Lmao ed is at least honest but lacks self awareness 😂 literally glorified his friend scamming a school 😂
The sad truth is: your own music is not even mentioned.
Thanks for doing the research to find vids worth watching! 😀
That’s kind of the implication behind the phrase “side hustle” …

Your goals should be to find whatever music oriented part of the industry requires the minimal amount of skill. It's what the kids do these days.
"Just become a live event sound engineer" lol
Video editing??? WTF
OMG that hand gesture that never stops...
U can use a good amount of vsts for color grading used to work with Vegas 7 there are a lot of presets out there
The school I go to for music doesn’t have any music people for the job fairs n shiii like dat
He made up for the DJ comment with the space/studio rental idea.
loving that episode har har
Weaver needs to get a job in Walmart and live stream it until he gets fired
An art piece
8:55 Is it just me or does his laughter give me the creeps?
I've always hated that guy 😂
He put DJing as the number one side hustle with no investment?? SMDH
Video Editor over here! I make a two to three grand a week. And it's not even a "hustle" - we call it a career here in the UK :P

I started in Vegas too. I wonder if it’s because it was small and the crack was good.
Live sound can be brutal
Wait, I work at Walmart... yeah I said that publicly...lol
Get that money fuck what anyone says 😎👍🏼

A cousin of mine ran the board at a few clubs and never got a degree.
hey, scam or not, it's called a hustle for a reason
these guys targeting newbies cant help but sell dreams.
They’re straight up full of sh*t and they all sell overpriced courses on the most basic stuff.
WEAVER IS HAWAIIAN?!?! 😮

He missed the analogy that colour grading is to video editors what compression is to DAWs

i do like his pricing strategy, though.
Nah Vegas is good bro, just gotta get the settings right first so it doesn't crash every two seconds.
Tell me more about these settings. I’m on 18 and it still crashes sometimes. Cntrl+S Cntrl+S Cntrl+S Cntrl+S
