This band brings brutality, pain, suffering, loneliness, and loss into a new light. They make it beautiful. They make it something that can be revered and applauded. This is art. This is real passion.
No, fuckface, brutality, pain and suffering, etc isn't beautiful at all, so the fucking music can't make it beautiful and an art, therefore those sentences are total, utter bullshit.
This is Converge in 2017, who would have thought they could maintain this pace? Seems impossible. This track is fucking savage, and Nate's parts are the cherry on top.
jay Kjel but at the same time, let's not kid ourselves - this is CONVERGE, they're just not capable of putting out music that's anything less than magnificent.
Jane doe You fail me Grim heart/ black rose Wretched world Precipice / A W L W L B EVE The dusk in us Converge si que sabe como incrustarte un sentimiento en cada albúm, cada uno con una melodia y atmosfera tan distinta.
@@Lukewarm111 I didn't either at first, especially their '90s output but it just clicked with me at some point, and yeah seeing them live definitely helped a lot. A lot of their songs are better live than in the studio which is always a mark of a great band.
It takes time, i think to connect with this music. The same way it takes time to slip into different emotion. People who misunderstand, always think of depression as a deep sadness, when in reality it is becoming comfortable with a lack of any emotion. That's what i feel Converge is, a slipping into a chasm, it feels nearly cult like with songs like this or Jane Doe, emotional brands are drawn on the listener where they don't feel alone because they can connect with the music. Though i'm pretty drunk and feeling melancholic music is music and everyone can draw away what they want from it. Just enjoy it you beautiful bastards
This song makes me cry every time ... Such a strong feeling of the approaching end. It's like I'm getting closer to the edge of life. Same as Simple Death by Chelsea Wolfe.
know can compete with them Live.. if you've never had the chance, the brutal sound they can produce is almost overwelming, nothing is like that wave of music.. always strong never a compromise.. long my they Raine..
Honestly, this is one of their very best songs. Definitely one of their best slow songs; probably the best track to come from The Dusk in Us sessions too. I'm glad it saw some kind of a release for sure; but it does feel a shame it's forever a b-side. I know the final track list of The Dusk in Us was very laboured over - they did a great job with it. I wish they could have found a way to put this song on it somehow, though.
@@SteveDarby-uy1tq Nope, it's one of the 5 released outtakes of The Dusk in Us's recording sessions. 4 of them make up the Beautiful Ruin EP, this is the fifth. All 5 were later added to the end of the album in a recently released deluxe edition.
Holy FUCK, Converge back at it again with one of their sludgier and most intense and great songs they have ever fucking released. This is already a huge favourite. IMMENSE.
I never comment on YT, but this shit is amazing. Closest to Jane Doe level of sheer crushing and suffocating heartbreak I've heard outside of that album. I'm speechless.
The Dusk In Us is going to be an absolute monster of a record. DAMN. has been holding the top spot for my Album of the Year, but Converge might just take the top spot from Kendrick in a walk. All three of the songs released so far this year have been stellar and if Eve got left off the album, that just tells you that what remains is going to be absolutely brutal and beautiful.
I remember the hype after that when they signed to Epitaph and then released You Fail Me. That was an awesome summer. YFM is probably my second favorite Converge album.
I've had this pic as my deskopt picture for quite some time now It's weird coming back to this video and geting weirded out for a second on why is my deskopt on this one song I love
What converge release should I listen to after this one? I listened to you fail me and def thought it was good but it didn't hit me like eve or I can tell you about pain. Should I just wait for the new album coming out?
Any of them. They're all pure gold and cover all different kinds of aggressive music over the 20 plus years theyve been around. Very diverse band, but also you can immediately identify them, if that makes sense.

J FV gotta be honest, I can’t stand most of early converge like at all. Maybe one to three songs each album until axe to fall. They’ve grown so much and just continue to, I love it. Jane Doe was pretty tits but like 50% for me. Everything after is 100%
Any Converge track that lasts more than 7 minutes is pure perfection, this is no exception.
Grim Heart/Black Rose, Wretched World, Jane Doe, and now Eve. All spectacular.
Don't ya dare forget The Saddest Day, brotha
Guys, what about "hell to pay"? Not a super long song, but I'd still add it to that list. That song gets me every damn time.
I don't dig their new stuff except for vortex :/
Btw if you zoom I put the kane doe's face on the lord of woe head aha
I still don't love this song as much as the rest of Jane Doe :/
This band brings brutality, pain, suffering, loneliness, and loss into a new light. They make it beautiful. They make it something that can be revered and applauded. This is art. This is real passion.
Jake Kruger well said.
This is some empty, meaningless bullshit. (I mean, your comment, the music is great).
kisielekrlz was their a point for that ?
Reinaldo Mancero no, he’s just a dick.
No, fuckface, brutality, pain and suffering, etc isn't beautiful at all, so the fucking music can't make it beautiful and an art, therefore those sentences are total, utter bullshit.
Simply astounding. This band makes me glad I have my ears and musical taste.
Long live noise!

Best stuff since Jane Doe.
Converge is hands down one of the best metalcore bands ever
Blessed we are, by another Converge song! The gods have returned.
man this came out 15 minutes ago and this is already one of their best tracks ever
LITERALLY
Sinternet_ Lapis is best gem
Also agreed
Ya, it's pretty cool. Also nice profile picture, love that show.
sinternet is a bad user
The monotone spoken word gang vocals actually add to the brutality of this song. Especially at the end. Gives me them chills every single time.
I was not expecting to start my day like this. I'm a happy man now.
When a Converge song is 7+ minutes long, you know it's going to be epic
As long as half of it isn't clean vocals ya
Jane doe
You fail me
Grim heart/ black rose
Wretched world
Precipice / A W L W L B
EVE
The dusk in us
Converge si que sabe como incrustarte un sentimiento en cada albúm, cada uno con una melodia y atmosfera tan distinta.
Dusk in us
This is one of the most epic tracks ever recorded by anyone. Thank you converge! The Eve t-shirt was also fantastic!
When you connect with Converge, you connect with Converge. I don't think there's much middle ground with a band like this.
@@Lukewarm111 I didn't either at first, especially their '90s output but it just clicked with me at some point, and yeah seeing them live definitely helped a lot. A lot of their songs are better live than in the studio which is always a mark of a great band.

Absolutely catastrophic. This band never disappoints.
haha
I hope they play this in brooklyn on friday, I'd feel bad for the venue though;)
Why this is so good ?? WHY?? It hurts mate .. This is what I need. This is what we all need !!
Very not disappointed.
How can you still be this great after all these years? How ?
Music is life.
Music doesn't get any more real or honest than this. Can't wait for an album.
1080/1080/1080
One of my favorite bands ever comes out with two amazing songs in one day.
Shit man...
I definitely enjoyed the other song, but this one is top tier material. Holy shit.
Cant wait for the whole album
Best hardcore band ever!
converge will always be one of my favorites... Jane doe is what got me hooked.

The moment Nate begins to sing for the first time....!! Leaves me speechless... :o
I thought that was kurt
Thank you based Ballou

I am just absolutely blown away by how huge this sounds! What a trip.

Pure emotion. Love it
Hope both this and 'I Can...' appear on the new album!!! Great to have them back.
Hope not cause mooooore new songs : D
Such a sick song, huge standout.
This band never disappoints. easily one of my faves ever
Converge is the truth
Sounds apocalyptic.
Can't wait for the new cd!
I've been waiting for Converge to make this song... I didn't know it seven minutes ago, but I do now.
I could listen to this track all day.
I have never heard a converge song. Im typing this as im listening to the song for the first time and it sounds pretty fucking good.
This song is an absolute beauty of raw experiences ! I'd love them to go further in this ambient violence ! Love it !
I hope this is some hype building for a future Converge record coming in the near future. They can't just leave us with a 7" record and vanish.
There'll be a full length out later this year.

Why would it be the only material to come? :) Its just revealing some tracks out of a new album...?
read the actual post.
They've been recording and there's a statement in addition to the picture. Not particularly hard to see if I'm being honest.
I'm not being a smartass in the slightest.
Another person is telling you to read the actual post as well, the link takes you straight there.

That was nuts.

NO LIE MAN I GOT GOOSEBUMBS THIS IS AMAZING!
People deny me that Converge have lot of Sludge metal songs, They've been doing it since Jane doe, not to say before. Love slow Converge!
Can't wait for more!
This blew me away, I wasn't ready.
completely unbelievable, by what margin Converge is the best band in the world. like, there's no fucking band even close. none.
pete pete Agreed
Nah.
Pure masterpiece.
This is really a good band! cheers from Argentina
Intro reminds me a bit of glacial pace
....
I love it
They do it like no one else... Brilliant.
Wow, wasnt expecting that. Lookimg forward to seeing them live at some point
I just love the whole post-apocalyptic vibe this exudes. Amazing.
Converges worse record is an 8/10 that should tell you how incredible everything they put out is
very true
Full stop, this is perfect.
Wow.
Remember when Axe To Fall was the new song?
I got feels
Same friend
seen it live before the album was released, saw them with Dethklok, mastodon and high on fire in Alberta
Converge was the only band to get an encore.
Are you kidding me I remember when Jane Doe was the new jam haha
I remember the hype after that when they signed to Epitaph and then released You Fail Me. That was an awesome summer. YFM is probably my second favorite Converge album.
Well, that was quite a treat :)
Pure Perfection!
🤘🖤🤘
I fucking love this, such a combination of rage and pain with apocalypse themes. this better mean a new album
bummed this didn't make the cut for the album
Matt Silver take out wildlife, put this in, album skyrockets into the atmosphere.
Aw. That's one of my favorites.
wildlife is one of my absolute favorite tracks on that album!
@@dclarkmusic Personally i'd take out A Single Tear and Thousands Of Miles. Then add Eve, Permanent Blue and Beautiful Ruin.
tudo que o converge faz é monstro...
Converge is my fucking religion since twenty years!!!! The only you need to trust !
Perfection.
fucking amazing. Converge are at their best when they aren't doing their usual stuff.
As usual, I gave it another listen and I was wrong. This is amazing
This is perfection
This is fucking brilliant.
love me some Converge !
I've had this pic as my deskopt picture for quite some time now
It's weird coming back to this video and geting weirded out for a second on why is my deskopt on this one song I love
Ok buddy we all know....
That at the time of this comment, you had just discovered this song.
Dont ask how I know..
I just do.
It sounds like the whole world collapsing. Fucking love it.

I wonder what it feels like to be in a band that has never released any mediocre material.
Are the vocals in the "chorus" Kurt or Nate? I can never tell anymore.
That's it exactly! Not a single bad song or a weak record in their discography. If only Melvins could learn that.
It has to be Nate.
Sparta04 so many of their peers "soldout" or disappeared but Converge have remained innovative and completely grounded at the same time.

omg omg omg sens shivers down my spine.
This thing is real.

Please just do a FULL US tour. Been way to long since I've been you.
