When I worked at Pizza Hut we used peanut oil, but olive oil is a better choice. Thank you for putting the ingredients and proper way to mix the dough. I so wished I had saved the ingredient list back when I worked there.

Hey if you were to freeze the dough would you let it rise in the fridge before freezing or freeze right away and when thawing allow extra time to rise?
If this helps with persuasion, please read this in John Maclean's voice 😂 A word of advice: NEVER add more flour when you are kneading your dough. Adding flour will only make your bread tougher and denser due to added gluten production in the kneading process, versus the latter. It will come out much softer and fluffier if you knead it as is, after it's settled. Yes, it'll feel sticky at first, but overtime after working it over, it'll lose it's sticky-ness and you'll notice the difference in texture. If anything, add a light dusting to your hands and a minimal amount to your board or surface of choice for kneading. Hope this helps someone out there.
Your recipe is nearly identical to mine. I use gallon Zip lock bags with olive oil for the dough. You need to let out air from the bags as the yeast works, but I like it better than using so many containers. I suggest using Sargento Mozzarella and Provolone cheese because it adds stretchy-ness to the cheese, as well as great flavor. I use string cheese sticks, cut in half lengthwise, with dough folded over them to make it 'stuffed crust' - way easier than loose cheese. Make sure it is sealed or your cheese will leak out. I have the same cast iron pan with red sleeve! I heat mine on the stove to get some heat in it before the oven since it takes so long to get them hot. You can also put it on the stove afterward to finish the crust if it isn't done. I make sure the pepperoni are on top of everything and after cooking use a heat gun on them to get them crispy - it adds so much to the flavor!

Kiona, for a crisper crust, use a cast-iron frying pan, sprinkle some cornmeal in the bottom of the pan, then add your dough sweet.
The parmesan on the sauce is GENIUS. This is the best pizza hut dupe I've seen yet!~
