@@user-wv7zk6um5iI play honour mode and she was never close to death wdym? Wtf this fight was one of the easiest ever your basically already lvl 12 have 3 attacks per round all you have to do is destroy the elements first
@@arcticz6457 the fight is never a problem for me in any level mode, it is the fact that every playthrough of mine aylin misses most of her hits and takes critical hits a lot which makes half my effort go in aiding her while killing the rest and keeping my own party alive, that has always been my experience.

It's DnD, there's more than just generic Good & Evil. My Lawful Evil Githyanki Monk Tav, who killed Shadowheart because she stole from his people, gave the Nightsong to Balthazar, fought beside her when confronting Ketheric, and sold her off when she was no longer useful.
Betraying Dame Allyn is bad enough, but then letting Isobelle go into the Tower and get butchered alone by Lorroican -right in front of her love - is just horrificly bad Karma.😱.
@@Emrick723 you can counter-spell a cantrip. As long as it is a Spell, with at least verbal and/or somatic components it can be the target of counter-spell. If you removed the verbal and somatic components, then you could not.

Fun fact. If you're a sorcerer in the 5.0 DnD system , you can use the subtle spell metamagic- and then your spells cannot be easily counterspelled ,because it does not appear to other Casters that you are casting a spell 😃
Aylin: 'There is NOTHING I cannot do.' ...except escape from the soulcage you were stuck in, when Tav and co found you in the shadowfell. How long were you trapped in that again? A century? Little more? And you only got out because they helped you. I wouldn't be too worried by her vow of revenge. Tav will probably be long dead by the time she finally breaks free and if they have any descendants for her to hunt down and kill, well, that's a problem for future Tav's lineage, lol.

What’s the difference between this prison and the one Balthazar made for Ketheric? Seems like all it’ll take is Rolan touching Aylin to free her again only to get trapped by some other wizard who knows how to do the ritual when she’s dumb enough to fall for their traps.
I think the conditions of soul cages can be set by it's caster, cuz in dialogue she mentions Balthazar made that "touching her in friendship" condition to mock her, because it's so easy, yet in the shadowfell she would never find allies cause only shar's devoted ever come there
Syphoning her immortality is incredibly stupid when you think about it. Given an infinite amount of time, anything that can happen WILL happen, so if Lorroakan and Aylin are truly immortal they have infinite time in their hands, and one day she will break free, and kill him, just like Ketheric, it might take a few centuries, a few millenia or billions of years, but it will happen. It baffles me how none of them actually thought this through, I guess hubris really makes you blind. Edit: I'll have to add this, because some people won't read my other replies and i don't want to keep saying the same things over and over again. Yes, he will live longer, but she could choose to just torture him for basically eternity instead of just smiting him. It's up to you if you think the gamble is worth it.

@@Kusabiii Well, she made a vow, so even if she changes her mind (which i doubt she would, i mean she tried to smite Thorm even when he surrendered) she doesn't really have a choice. Besides, she is the daughter of a goddess, she can just torture him until the brink of death and then heal the wounds and keep at it for as long as she wants, he is just a dude after all. In the best case scenario, the gamble might be worth it, he gets to live a few thousands of years and then a quick death by being smited, but it all depends on how cruel and vengeful she will be after such long imprisonment. One thing is for certain though, when she gets free, he is dead.

Yeah but they should first buff her when you side with her. It's kinda annoying her getting downed all the time or knocked the f out and not doing anything in fights. And then in the cut scene she acts like she's the one who took down every enemy 😂.
Man, its kind of sad that this is kind of blocked for me in my evil playthrough, i mean, the only way i could archieve this is by either ignoring shadowheart completly or let her become "good" by betraying shar, both things that dont do well for an evil party.
An evil playthrough where your character is atheist so the goal is to piss on as many of DnD's pantheon as possible, including Shar. I call this the "Gods are Cringe" playthrough.
I did it during my evil playthrough. Of course, it was a combination of my character being manipulative and wanting more control over his companions and also "lol, screw that shitty goddess, with time I shall kill her, too!"

Did anyone game also glitch after they gave up dame??? I had to redo the choice and kill loarrokan cause my entire camp was hostile from then on. Even mizzora
If you're playing Dark Urge, there's numerous chances to make your 'evil playthrough' pay off ..such as with acquiring the Slayer form from Bhaal as his Chosen.
The allies are so useless in the end battle anyway, they just run to the area where those vines grab and kill them. Only heal and aoe ones have any use. She is very good cause you can control her, so I'd def save her.
While I understand why Dame Aylin was the way she was (the whole death of Isobel and being trapped and used), I didn't think she was a good paladin, if she was supposed to be one. She seemed bloodthirsty, and it really felt like she was in it for the smiting a lot more than for the justice. I wonder if a potential DLC would have explored and expanded upon her. Of course, we'll never know since there won't be any DLC.

Several endings have tav becoming immorta, all powerful, or even a god/goddess. So it would be fun to see ayling get smashed bad.
