I don't think there's an "Indian standard", Indians very often see themselves as Westerners because they carried water or do the chaiwallah stuff for Westerners in the the colonial days. For much of India it is still pretty much Western standards. Every five words an Indian speaks, s/he likes to put in two English words. Given half a chance many Indians would like to leave India to live in Western countries, no prejudice here...
