Your kids are so lucky to have a mom teaching them healthy eating at such an early age!
Yummy 😋 chickpea recipes and my favourite recipe is Chickpea Tuna with curry powder and homemade vegan mayonnaise (made with the Aqua faba). Thanks Alissa for sharing and it's sunny ☀️ salad weather in Scotland and I am struggling to eat anything that isn't a salad. Love 🥰 the video and love 💗 Ali & family.
I need this recipe! Homemade mayo with Aquafaba! So smart!
That pasta sauce...chef's kiss! ♥
yessss 😃
I hate chick peas, it's a texture thing for me (unless they're made into hummus). So I am so happy for the recipes 😊
"If it's Goya, it has to be good" haha! Amazing video, I have never thought of making chocolate mouse out of chickpeas but will try that today!
Yes would love that recipe
It is yummy!!
@@vickik1269 The recipe is linked above!
These recipes all look delish! Thanks for sharing! I also love your kitchen....it's so nice!
LOVE the trick to cook chickpeas & all the recipes. U make it so simple, healthy, motivates me to cook🙏
Yay! I am so glad! Try it! The lemon chickpeas are seriously so good! And... the chocolate chickpea mousse too :)
How did u guess that was the first thing I made!!!!😃it is DELICIOUS!!!!😋
I’ve always loved chickpeas. I didn’t know that their taste was an issue… They always taste good!
Have you made them from dried before? They taste so much better!
Sometimes, it's the texture that gets people. This baking soda technique fixes that.
Great ideas! I am going to go cook some chickpeas right now!
Yay!! Chickpeas are so yummy!
Looks good!
Yay! It is!
I love your videos! I’m going to try making them after seeing how easy it is. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Yay! The lemon chickpeas and the chocolate mousse are soooo easy!
I'm glad I watched this for the baking soda hack. I make chickpeas all the time, but I didn't know that.
Yay! I am so glad! It is really nice to use to get them even softer!
I love, love, LOVE your videos and recipes!!! Any chance you can make a video on ways to use soft silken tofu? I bought a case of it... my first experiment was a complete success- mayo! My second experiment... ranch dip... yikes 😬 I definitely have more learning to do!
That is a great idea for a video! I like silken tofu for smoothies.
I don’t usually cook two pounds of chickpeas at once. Should I scale down the baking soda for a smaller batch?
Funny because I just made a bag of chickpeas from scratch for the first time. My kids loved the fresh hummus and chocolate hummus. Lol
Isn't it so much better from scratch! They are buttery soft!
You mentioned potluck. I’d love to see a video of recipe ideas for potlucks! It’s the season.
I have a video for hosting potlucks! Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/k-Px7CXniCI/v-deo.html
This would be very delicious with coconut cream/milk, less water and get the skin off the chickpeas.
Only thing I hate about making chickpeas is taking off the skin
I never take off the skin. Too much work! ha ha
I am too lazy to do that and you may be losing some nutrients from removing the skins@@pilatesbyalisia7015
Just recently I found split chana dal. Chickpeas that are split and skins removed. It made good hummus. I can't be bothered to remove the skins either.
Nothing would make it worth taking off the skins!
@@ggjr61 Ha ha ha I agree!
Wtf, I literally just ordered that exact same Air Fryer on Amazon 2 hours ago
Yay! I love mine! amzn.to/3ywqkfa

Thank you!!!
Kombu ads iodine; great for those who avoid salt.
Yessss. Great tip!
Seems like a lot of salt or sodium.
Sodium is a common flavor booster. *Shrug*
1 tsp of baking soda has 1200 mg of sodium. Yikes
Wow never knew that
I was interested until you showed the brand of chickpeas you used.
What brand do you like to use?
@plantwhys the owner of Goya actively and publicly supported Trump. You might as well endorse an animal cruelty company. I would suggest any brand but his. In the future, perhaps you should not show the brand to avoid political discourse.
@@Theo-ly6nnyou did not pass an IQ test. Sorry
I just use Shoprite store brand. A bag is about $1.60.
