    And the first A-die kit I tried after shooting this video didn't work at 8000. Looks like Asrock only sets the correct resistances if you use an EXPO kit.

      Could u please get a reboot to bios shortcut as in "shutdown.exe /r /fw" -> save "to bios.bat"
      Its as good a feature as bios safe boot i swear

      @@4sr305 i find that a bat file doesnt always reboot into bios stable. i been trying to overclock a cheap ddr5 4800 kit to 7200 and to get to the bios, its better to just restart and press del. bat file doesnt work in my case past 7000

    My memory temperature sensors work fine on the X870E Taichi Lite. 8000C34 was a breeze too, took me less than 15 minutes to setup
    Also, just so you know there's a bug where if you have MEM VDD over 1.45, you can't run MEM VDDQ under 1.44
    The reason there's no tRCDWR available is because it's not using the latest AGESA..

    No matter what you do the fact is most ram chips need 12.5ns to perform operations, and the best chips that are somewhat accessible are 10ns. So whatever numbers you use there is always a bottom you can't fall under.

    Could someone tell me the difference between XMP and EXPO in this situation? I'm guessing certain timings and voltages are different and possibly missing settings all together but I'm curious how feasible it is to just use an EXPO RAM kit's settings on a similar XMP RAM kit?

  • @SeventhCircle77
    @SeventhCircle77 8 днів тому +1

    I'm disappointed my fclk does not do 2050 with 8200 :(, also what's the deal with procodt? Mine defaults to like 30 with expo kit but I see many hi-z or 480? I'm trying to push over 8000 if possible just wondering if it may help.

    • @atirta777
      @atirta777 8 днів тому

      The default ProcODT is usually the best at least with EXPO kits, well depends on the board too. My X870 Tomahawk is stable at 8000 completely auto. Some have gotten 8200 to work as well but at over 8000 the CPU's IMC matters a lot

    • @ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking
      @ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking  8 днів тому

      ProcODT depends on the motherboard and memory kit. There isn't a universal correct value for it. EXPO generally seems to set it correctly for the kit being used.

    Do the ~9000Mhz CUDIMMs on the Intel Core 200 work just toggling XMP on? Or do you need to have a good CPU and do lots of tinkering?

    • @atirta777
      @atirta777 8 днів тому +2

      @@paul.1337 With the right motherboard they do usually work but the memory controller is then set automatically to Gear4 which kills performance. Gear2 is possible at 9000MT/s IIRC but you need luck on your CPU and/or a good mobo for that.

    this board even boots 2x16 8000 c38, but it's down to the cpu if it gets stable. my 9950x can even run 8200 c38 2x24 on this board, sadly the 9800x3d just reboots after running karhu on 8000 for like 5 min, even tho its throwing 0 errors. btw, my HWinfo has the memory temp sensors going. must be something other than the board.

    Sorry for spam, but I need your help, guys.
    I need help with stability issues.
    So a few months ago, i built a new PC.
    7800x3d
    4070 Super
    2x16 Kingston fury beast 6000mhz 30 36 36
    asus tuf gaming b650 gaming plus wifi
    I have these stability issues that appear only when I cold boot the system.
    after boot, if do normal things like watching video, it'ss okay. but if I play demanding games, it starts to stutter or i experience sound Cut offs, sometimes my games that want to be updated in steam says Disk error!
    the only way it gets fixed is that i go inside game, experience the stutter, and then restart PC! it gets fixed. if i don't restart, the stutters become worse, and it goes to BSOD.
    I have tried manual ram timings, disabling Expo. disabling PBO, disabling fast boot , disabling memory restore context, reinstalling windows, changing my ram sticks, and nothing has worked. i still have the same issue after cold boot and sleep, and if i don't restart 1 or 2 times, the problem lingers.

    It'd be nice if they sent me that kit too. Nobody in NZ stocks it. Not the EXPO one at least. Bugger.
    Not keen to import PC parts in case I have to return them. Our chain like Micor Center is calleed PB tech. The fastest EXPO kits they have is Corsair Vengence 6400. Meh.
    Maybe they can get it in for me. It's good to know this kit works. Cheers. My mobo is a X870 Aorus. Not X870E. Should be okay. 7200 might be safer though. CPU is a 9950X, so I dunno if the controller is as good as the 9800X3D.
