    @mattp2182 Hi sweetie:) It's great to know that you already know and are probably living your life in a healthy way. However, most people don't know the truth about food, and I can only hope my video will inspire them to learn more:)

    Mimi, i watched a few of you girls videos today, including the new years resolution one. I think it all ties up into creating a healthy lifestyle for oneself and being more positive and in control. I really enjoy your videos because of the perspective you have on life! You are always improving yourselves spiritually, you wanna be healthy physically, you travel, you want to share your positivity to the world and i greatly admire that! Thank you for brightening my day!

    @CatherineKhim It's my pleasure love;) blending your own juices is definitely better, try to add veggies like broccoli , carrots and beats, instead of fruit ( at least sometimes) hehe

    I absolutely agree with you regarding drinking lots of water. Lemon water is amazing way to detoxify your body in addition to other benefits. I also add a combination of lemon&raspberry, cucumber&lime, pineapple&watermelon to my water to change it up once in a while. And about 3 months ago I became a vegan. To my surprise the transition from vegetarian to vegan was not as hard as I expected. You can totally do it Mimi! :))

    Thank you so much for sharing your tips, this is a very helpful video. I'm 17 and I've noticed that I don't bother even touching any fruit or vegetables, and I only drink about a glass of water a day. The rest I just drink is tea and tend to eat any food that looks good enough but I don't take into consideration how bad it could be. But this video has really given me a boost and the motivation I needed to care about what I'm eating. It's not necessarily a diet, more of a healthy eating routine.

    Hi Mimi. This is a great video. Thank you! My husband made a great point one day: "I realize why eating lots of veggies in my diet makes me feel more alert, alive. Because when you cut a vegetable, it's still growing even when you put it in the fridge. It's still life and alive. Whereas when you cut a piece of meat, it's dead. The blood stops running and it's basically decaying when you cook it."

    Quick correction: foods made with white flour are not necessarily bleached. Wheat is ground and then the bran (where all the nutrients are) is removed. Then the flour actually has to be aged to get to the right texture. However, this is a time-consuming process, so usually flour is treated with bleach to speed up the aging process. You can get into whether the bleach is dangerous, but either way, white flour is just processed carbs.

    thank you for taking time to make this video. you have a busy life so doing this was very sweet of you. a lot of what you say is true! i love meat so i would not stop, maybe less meat more fruit and veggies but your ideas are great. not a lot of people get enough veggies and fruit. you look healthy, you do not look sick at all ( i read a comment that said you were too skinny)

    I thought this would be an extreme diet video, but it was actually very informative and helpful advice that can be applied to anyone's diet and lifestyle. Making these gradual changes CAN be healthy, I don't see anything that was too extreme... The gluten-free diet isn't necessary, as really only those in the 1% of celiac disease and few with gluten-sensitivity need to be concerned, but everything else was good.

  • @EverythingLuxy
    @EverythingLuxy  13 років тому

    @electricgummie Hun, it's not about the size, it's about how healthy you are, and I'm not saying you are not healthy because you are drinking coffee. It's just for every cup of coffee you need to drink 2 glasses of water , because that's how much liquid it takes away from your body:) You can do some research on the subject if you are interested:)

    @misssaliia Hi hun, that's exactly what happened to me about 5-6 years ago. First I stopped eating red meat, then chicken, and everything else. It's not something you have to force. It will naturally happen when your body is ready to transition. I take Easy Iron by Platinum and you can also take daily Prenatal Vitamins by Easy Iron , once and if you become full out vegetarian.

    @Juliehavenoidea Hi sweetie....cravings for sugar are natural, as it's a habit your body is used to crave it. I'd recommend having a fruit instead of sweets. Fruits have some sugar, but obviously not nearly as bad as processed candy, cookies, chocolate, etc.

    Thank you for this Video MiMi =).. This is my Favorite video of yours so Far.. TIP: About The whole meat and Veggies thing .. you are suppose to eat the Veggies 1st.. and the reason being is because they will digest faster and your body will absorb its nutrients (wait like a 1/2 hour) Then eat meat, Fish, or chicken.. If you eat the meat 1st and then veggies, not only will your body focus on the break down of meat, the veggies will basically sit on top of the meat.. making you feel bloated

    Shower filters are great considering our skin absorbs water a lot of water while showering /bathing. I have hard water so the filter has also made a big difference in my skin and as an added bonus, my hair is easier to manage because it's experiencing less mineral deposits. white bread/pasta also are high on the glycemic index.
    and just about everything is fine in moderation, like sweets and fat. our body needs fat!
    and it's been really hard for me to eat healthy because i live in a college dorm and all i have is a microwave, so i've been steaming vegetables, eating frozen cooked chicken from the grocery store (i know, processed, bad, but i need protein!!), eggs, whole wheat pasta, and tons of spinach.

    Great video! I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 yrs now and I know exactly what u mean about not craving certain foods once you're educated on what's in it or even where it came from. I take multivitamins and calcium supplements regularly to get all the nutrients I need. Soy products are great substitutes for protein as well as beans. I would loove to become vegan eventually but I love cheese way too much. Becoming vegetarian is definitely better for the environment and for our health.

    Heyy Mimi, I absolutely love your video, I've tried several times to cut meat and chicken from my diet, however the only thing I find myself living on are eggs and salads, which become very boring after a while. Could you pretty please do recipes on things we can, because other than that, all I can think of is rice and noodles, and the only rice I enjoy is sushi, and if you could recommend an eating day to day, and week to week, like the proportions and how often to eat, that would be amazing!
